Vegetarian options are not- beware! - Edit

Asked for vegan options- they directed me to ‘vegetarian’ section of menu, I asked again for vegan options, they said just ask for no cheese and sour cream. I asked if chips were fri d separately, and confirmed ( luckily they did know this) that they are not and are thus not even vegetarian. Worried re beans & rice so asked to check. Came back to confirm beans had only water and beans, no lard. No comments re rice so asked to check again. Confirmed rice made w chicken fat so I just ordered beans. They came back to again suggest anything on vegetarian section could be made vegan w no cheese or cream. Vegetarian section all has rice and that not even vegetarian !! Another reminder to stick w veggie only places!

Pretty Good - Edit

Best Mexican place in SLC is Yumz but this place is also solid. There’s a vegetarian section on the menu and much of it can be made vegan.

It won’t blow you away but it’s a good option, especially when out with non-vegans.

Delicious Tacos!! - Edit

The Blue Iguana Tacos were delicious! Easy to order a vegan option. The atmosphere is wonderful! The colors lift your spirits and you feel like dancing!

Family of omnivores, and two vegans. - Edit

The vegetable fajitas looked and smelled delicious with lots of peppers, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes. My husband said they tasted great with the tortillas they came with.
The best thing we did was ask for a sampler of their moles, there were 6 flavors to taste. With the chips and salsa it was fun to taste each of them. And they will substitute, for a small extra charge, the mole depending the item. I enjoyed the pumpkin seed mole instead of the chocolate mole, which was too strong of a flavor for my tastebuds, on the Enmoladas filled with beans.

Pros: Several vegan options to choose , Lovely margarita menu

Live Music and Decent Food - Edit

There was a wonderful singer with guitar accompany. The place was busy, but service was still good and the staff polite. Got the veggie burrito (make sure to ask for no cheese or sour cream) and was not dissapointed. Lots of vegetables, great food, good vibes. They also make their own salsa.

best Mexican in salt lake for vegetarians - Edit

I always get the Blue Iguana tacos, no cheese. It's seriously the best, but I would like to try out other veganized options as well, because I'm certain they are amazing.
