The blu bar itself is worth the trip to Poblenou! Their menu is completely vegan and they offer a variety of creative options like tapas, bowls, tacos, as well as cocktails and desserts. I had the calzone and it was absolutely amazing, highly recommend it! My Omni companion was surprised how good it tasted and wouldn’t tell a difference to a dairy version. He had tacos and enjoyed them as well. If you can fit it in you have to try the brownie! I am very critical considering desserts but this brownie blew my mind, perfect texture, rich taste, perfect presentation.

Read moreThis is a must visit, even for those in the Centro area, Blue Bar is located slightly out with the Centro area in Poble Nou but it’s well worth the little journey to taste their delights and meet Marco who’s a top guy. Best Taco’s in BCN, try the ‘pork! option, it will blow you away and then once you recover try guess the magic ingredients!?
Cal Veganic is a great vegan store nearby, few mins walk, which is well worth a visit to stock up on some of the awesome variety of vegan snacks they have. Do you have a penchant for midnight munchies whilst in hotels!? This is your place to stock up, owner is super cool and completely vegan too.

Best Vegan Pizza in town - Edit
We came to Blu Bar searching for something vegan to eat in Poblenou and had the best surprise. Food was just great; we had tacos, a pizza and the calzone, I can't stress enough how good the calzone was since it's rare to find a good one outside Italy, let alone a vegan one. The location and the restaurant have a good vibe and the staff is friendly and welcoming. We had to wait for our food for a bit but the place was packed so couldn't expect the fastest service.

The guy who served me was full of energy and took the time to explain the ingredients of the vegan pizza I had, the food came fast and it was pizza how a pizza should be. I felt very welcome and left with a smile.

The best thing was the pizza was not overflowing with ingredients like you find in a lot of swedish pizzerias but minimal and full of flavour like the Italians intended!
If you're into the curry & banana abominations they serve in Sweden then this is not the place for you, or maybe it is if it's time for you to taste a real pizza! 😂

Blu Bar was non vegan restaurant and just turned vegan in November 2019! I asked the waiter about it and he said they’ve had an overwhelmingly positive response which is so cool to see. I really liked the food here, I got a bowl, avocado flatbread, and a pizza. It all tasted fresh and I loved how much arugula was in everything! It was filling but still tasted healthy so even though I ate a lot I didn’t feel bad afterwards. The only thing I didn’t like was that the chili oil was very mild, but food lacking spice seems like a pretty common thing in Spain. Overall I would definitely recommend!

Super delicious pizza options (with Beyond and Huera options) as well as a nice tapas menu, tacos, burgers, desserts, an extensive drink menu (with non-alcoholic choices too), and really great service. Open late and located right on Rambla del Poblenou. Relaxed vibe and outdoor heated seating. I really can’t recommend this place enough.

Really excellent, very smart and well done vegan food! Textures were excellent and flavors were incredible in the Blue Bar burger. Didn’t y’all apart like a lot of veggie burgers but still had a “meaty” texture which I was craving. Atmosphere is great, staff is great, highly recommend !

This is a hidden gem truly. In the Poble Nou area, on the local Rambla. The most friendly and nice staff, lots of choices to choose from, all delicious, and even a terrace. They don’t accept reservations but waiting time wasn’t long when we went. It has a very cosy bar vibe and I will come back!

The portion sizes are so generous especially for the prices, and the food is delicious! Amazing pizza, huge (and delicious) sangria, wonderful tapas. And the staff are so lovely. I would definitely recommend making the trip to eat here. It is wonderful, and the atmosphere is great too. I wish I was staying longer to try more items in the menu! And everything is made on site! Bread, cheese, everything!
