If there’s anything better than breakfast, it’s all-day breakfast. This spot had been on my list for a long time, and it definitely lived up to expectations. The menu is extensive enough, with a great balance between sweet and savory options. We tried the kimchi toast and the breakfast bagel, both full of flavor and generously portioned. Coffee lovers are in the right place too; the filter coffee was amazing.

A Delicious Last-Minute Visit - Edit
arrived close to closing time and unfortunately didn’t get to try much from the menu, but at least I had time to enjoy a slice of banana cake and a chai latte, which were both delicious! The staff were very friendly and polite, and one of the women even gave me suggestions for other vegan restaurants in the city that would be open later. Too bad I couldn’t stay longer.

Bruges isn’t the most vegan friendly city, so when we stumbled across Blackbird I was thrilled. Brilliant staff and delicious food!

A great place for brunch with a wide range of dishes. I opted for the lazy breakfast (yoghurt and granola, bread, croissant) which came with both juice and coffee. It was all good but I particularly enjoyed the granola which was topped with a variety of fruit.

We turned up without a booking and saw a sign saying no tables free. We fortunately got in but saw quite a few others turned away. The food was really good. We had the salmon toast, avocado toast and hamm and cheese croissant. Would definitely go back and try other things but sadly there are no free slots until a few days later.

Best Breakfast in Brugge - Edit
Enjoyed the most wonderful rainy morning breakfast here this October. I had the PBJ Oats and a side of Scrambled tofu with a double americano and everything was incredible. The oats are a generous portion with peanut butter, fresh berries, and shaved almonds. And the scrambled tofu was moist and well seasoned.

Not only my belly but also my eyes can't get enough of this food. I had a reservation for sunday - definitely necessary! The staff is super kind, the service is quick and the interior cozy.
The croissant is warmed up and melty - perfect.
The oats - A DREAM! Every component is a perfect match, and they do nooot joke around with the amount of PB. It's aaall hidden there... the choco pasta on the side for 1€ is extremely generous too.
The drinks was super delicious, 10/10.
I highly recommend visiting Brugge alone for this restaurant.

Read moreThe pancakes came with lots of fruit and yogurt and syrup so we’re sweet and fluffy, the portion size was almost too big.
The salmonn was stunning. Had such a great flavour and the bread was a really chunky slice.
If this place was open all week we would have been here everyday of our trip as all the food looked amazing

My absolute highlight in Bruges – this place is a must try if you’re looking for good food, beautiful vibes, and genuine people. It’s located a bit outside the tourist-heavy city center, which makes it a lovely break from the crowds. The walk there was more than worth it.
Read moreFrom the moment we arrived, I had a good feeling - the small terrace outside and the beautifully decorated interior were exactly my style: warm, calm, and inviting. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member, who I later found out is probably the owner herself - and she was simply lovely.
We both ordered the Balance Bowl my friend with couscous and I with quinoa. Since they were closing for vacation the next day, the menu was a bit limited, but she kindly said she’d whip something up for us. And wow – it was fresh, colorful, perfectly balanced, super satisfying, and ideal for a warm summer day. The portion size was generous, and everything tasted amazing.
While waiting, I spotted some merch at the front and got curious. Turns out: it’s not just any brand, it’s their own line – designed and produced sustainably, with vegan messages and beautiful, minimalistic designs. I ended up buying a T-shirt (it was SO hard to choose!) and was even gifted some free stickers.
The whole experience felt full of care, passion, and love. As we were leaving, I noticed a Pride poster in the window – another little touch that showed how open, thoughtful and community-minded this place is.
I will absolutely come back next time I’m in Bruges – and would love to try their breakfast.
This is the kind of place you want to support. Heartfelt, soulful, delicious.

Every detail seems to contribute to a truly charming and comfortable ambiance.
Read moreFor my meal, I chose the "Happiness Bowl" and it truly lived up to its name! It was not only incredibly delicious but also felt wonderfully balanced nutritionally and was perfectly filling. It's clear that a lot of care goes into crafting their dishes.
I would absolutely recommend Blackbird to anyone looking for a fantastic meal in Bruges. It's a gem!

what a great find! adorable spot (well, all of Bruges is adorable) with great service and great food. I started with a delicious matcha latte, then I got the avocado toast and my partner got the lazy breakfast. both absolutely amazing!! the avocado toast was so fresh and filling and my partner was obsessed with the chocolate spread on the croissant. couldn't possibly recommend this place more!

Excellent scrambled Tofu. Had to come back to have it again before I left to go home. Going to miss the scrambled Tofu. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Situated in a very nice and idyllic area in Bruge.
