Fun walk-up ice cream parlor that serves house-made ice-cream. Serves favorites as well as seasonal ice creams. There are always sorbet options available such as lemon, tangerine, mango, kiwi, raspberry and huckleberry. Open Mon-Sun 11:30am-10:00pm.

not enough variety or options - Edit
they have two vegan flavors year round, but they're both sorbets, and the flavors are a bit plain, with both being citrus flavored (lemon and tangerine). they've started including a vegan flavor for their specials but it's oftentimes another fruit flavor or another sorbet. at the time of writing this review their current vegan special is jalapeno lime, yet another citrus flavor! let's change it up a little! would like to see more flavors akin to their dairy ice cream flavors, they had a vegan chocolate flavor once and it was great. overall you're better off going over to Veera for your vegan dessert needs.

Only One Vegan Option. - Edit
They only ever have one vegan option at a time and the flavor is rotated so you never know what the flavor is until you get there. I guess there are like two sorbets. The line gets really long in the summer time, too, because everyone in Missoula loves violence against innocent animals.

No particularly good vegan options - Edit
The sorbet is OK, but it's the only vegan option, and usually there are only 2 sorbets. I am surprised that there are still no vegan ice cream flavors at Big Dipper! I rarely go here (only if I'm with a group that insists on it). I would rather pick up a pint of Ben and Jerry's vegan or Larry and Luna's vegan ice cream instead.

Refreshing sorbet - Edit
Lemon sorbet always has and always will be my favorite Summer treat. Big Dipper does it fantastically! It's only a short walk from campus, but usually has a verrrrry long line-- for good reason!
