terima kasih!

Lots of vegetarian choices, also easily customisable into vegan. But they do have plenty of vegan options:)

Good priced delicious vegan food

What a find, we now love this place. Heaps of vegan choices, I ordered tempe, tofu & potato cooked in various styles, plus wontons & urab, with ginger tea. Such a tasty feast. Staff are happy & fun.

Pros: Wontons, Urab, Various tempe & tofu dishes

Great option for local food

Popular, busy little restaurant in lovely temple-like setting. Many vegan options on the menu. Wonton dumplings were great, spinach tasty, nasi camper full of veg and tempeh. Also had tempeh with basil leaf which was nice but could only have a full mouthfuls as it was very rich. Overall great value, really enjoyed the meal.

Nice food and ambience

Really friendly staff, good price and pretty popular. I was a bit underwhelmed with the food and drink. The watermelon juice didn't taste the best and although I liked the nasi campur I feel like there is better out there. Certainly good elements and had a nice ambience.

Delicious nasi campur veg

We had the nasi campur vegetarian option (they confirmed it is actually vegan) and for R26k it was really delicious and filling. The sweet and sour tempeh was our favourite. We came back a second time for the nasi campur and this time they gave us both egg! They apologised and offered to give us more tempeh/veg. Lovely atmosphere and the staff and friendly. Nice part of Ubud, the street is not as busy.

Gutes balinesisches Essen

Für wenig Geld bekommt man hier eine große Auswahl an indonesischem Essen. Sehr zu empfehlen ist alles was mit Tempeh zu tun hat.

Pros: Vegane Optionen , Günstige Preise , Große Auswahl

Cons: Keine Klimaanlage

Waste of a meal

Went for dinner, and everything was stale- what we ordered off the menu must have been sitting there all day. Minimal vegan options without vegan menu markings. Definitely wouldn’t return.

Didnt understand “vegan”

I ordered all vegan, well tried to, but instead of tempeh sate they served me pork sate,

Pros: Tempeh was yum, High demand to get a seat (should mean good)

Cons: Small as heck plates, Busy as heck

Changed my view about tempeh forever

The satay tempeh is worth a flight to Bali alone.

Food was good, but the service is poor.

Went there for dinner and managed to find a table quickly. After ordering our food we waited for an hour and a half to get it. One of the servers even came up to us and asked us if we wanted to order more. The food was delicious, but this heavily packed tourist destination can be frustrating if you’re impatient.

Good food, good prices

I enjoyed my meal here. I got the Nasi campur and a mixed Juice drink. The total came to 53,900 (including tax) in February 2019. The nasi campur is a mound of white rice in the middle of the plate surrounded by seven or eight different things (kind of a sampler plate, you might say). You can make the dish vegetarian by swapping the chicken and pork for tempeh. There's also half a boiled egg on the plate so if you leave that out the dish might be considered vegan. It's the perfect place to go if you are traveling with someone who does not eat vegetarian food. Keep in mind that they add 10% tax to the menu prices.

Pros: Tasty food , Good prices for this part of town

Cheap veggie eats in Ubud

Small but nice place! Lots of veggie options clearly marked on the menu, and the mie goreng was delicious. Most local favorites come in a veggie option, which was nice was sampling. Cheap eats!

Pros: Lots of balinese veggie options, very affordable!

Cons: None

Good food

Nice tasting food, I had Nasi Campur and I’m glad I didn’t listen to the comment about the portions being too small, because I was satisfied afterwards. There are some dishes labeled “small plates” that are meant to order like tapas, but there are also bigger meals. The place seems very popular. Side note: the menu has the marking “vegetable food” - this does not mean vegan, I had to ask and the waiter didn’t know what vegan was, but after explaining it worked out fine.

Pros: Serving very nice tempe , Nice atmosphere , Good value

Cons: Not vegan markings in menu

Nice local Warung offering vegan Options

Nice Warung with few vegan options. Good local cuisine, but after we discovered that portions are a bit small, we orderd another meal and this additional order took us very long to wait for. Nice and friendly staff.

Very good if you order right

We find ourselves eating here more than once every time we visit Bali. Even though it is not vegetarian or even really health focused, we find we are able to get a better fill of cooked vegetables than typically available at the veg places in town. We generally order almost all the veg options on the menu (portion sizes are small) and between the two of us that is more than enough for a good dinner. Taste profiles are very good - much better than most veg places in town - and it's great that it's actually local cuisine so you're experiencing the local culture a bit despite not eating meat.

The downside for us is that the vibe is a bit less pure/relaxing than most Balinese vegan places - you have to put up with other patrons drinking and smoking copiously... being non-veg and relatively cheap, it attracts a different crowd.

Pros: Local cuisine, The food is very good, Inexpensive

Cons: often smells of cigarettes and alcohol, not pure veg

only for hasty tourists

I ate a portion of Baslines "urab" (tiny portion), tasteless and with few ingrdients, a thousand miles away from the real urab Balinese, I took then a "nasi campur vegetarian" whose rice was cold, probably already prepared or precooked. A forgettable culinary experience.

Pros: attended by many people, service relatively fast but careles

Cons: food without taste and flavor
