We had a lovely lunch at Beyond Sushi. The dumplings were great, but the star in my mind was the jackfruit crab roll. Some of the best cauliflower wings ever. I also enjoyed the eggplant unagi sushi a lot.

This place is great! The sushi is absolutely phenomenal and they even have some rolls with black rice. The sweet potato roll was suspiciously warm but still tasted pretty good. The Uber cheesecake was also delicious. They seemed short-staffed so service took a little longer but nothing too serious.

Had a concert to see at Radio City Music Hall just 5 minutes walk away and stopped by Beyond Sushi for a pre-show dinner. Beyond has a creative menu with dishes bursting with flavor.

- The gochujang on the fried chick’n bao is ace; do not be afraid to eat the bao with the whole Thai chili pepper
- Best known for its sushi, try the Ohizushi spicy “salmon”, the touch of toasted cayenne sauce rounds it out
I love the coziness of this particular location, perfect for a pre-show dinner, a date, or a chill night with friends. And the staff is always friendly and attentive. They shared this tip: the first item within each section on the menu is the most ordered. If you’re vegan or just curious, definitely a place to check out.

I’ve been coming here for dinner before seeing a show for years and it never disappoints. Brought a new group of non-veg friends and they loved it. I always order a bunch of different things and we all share. Dumplings, sushi, and bar are consistently delicious and beautiful.

I really loved the spicy roll. Presentation was beautiful, as always. Very convenient location if you're trapped in Midtown for a while...or are visiting and just want some delicious vegan sushi. The restaurant is small (like all NYC restaurants) but I was able to be seated when I went.

I had five dishes from here and all were delicious! I highly recommend the ginger beef dumplings nutty buddy wrap. I also had the spicy cucumber and two rolls, all of which were fantastic. I ordered in and the dishes were packaged really well, I particularly appreciated that the spicy salmon came with a little bottle of the mayo topping to put on yourself.

Read moreThis sushi was really good! But it was also expensive ($12 per roll) so this is a treat yourself place. Go there ready to spend money and willfully drop that cash, you won’t regret it. Don’t expect simple vegetable sushi— here is vegan fish alternatives amongst other twists on dishes.
I definitely would return when someone else is paying the bill 🤭

Hard to find better sushi anywhere. Have not been home to NYC in four years of traveling and while I've had a lot of really nice vegan sushi in other places, this one, my favorite, survives to continue to do sushi the right way, with extra attention to detail, fantastic flavors and incredibly friendly, upbeat service and in a cute little spot near the park and only one block from the F train.

The spicy jackfruit roll was my favorite roll and it occurs to me I did not get a pic of the eggplant inari roll stuffed with mushrooms. Just believe that it too was beautiful and delicious. Speaking of inari, I would love to see some tofu skin on the menu someday but it didn't occur to me at the time, too distracted by superior quality beyond expectations.
