Good pasta and big portions - Edit
The pasta were good and had unique options, portions are generous, we ordered the truffle fries and I’ve never seen so many fries. The service was great too, they give good recommendation and they ask at first if people are vegan or vegetarian.

A really terrible experience - Edit
We reserved a table and came for a birthday dinner.The Cantina was noisy and over crowded. We were placed at a ‘vintage table’ with uncomfortable low old parlour chairs. Service was very slow, in fact there wasn’t any.
Read moreIn our seventies, my husband was too uncomfortable to eat dinner in an unsuitable chair. We flagged a passing waiter to request one of the available dining chairs for him. He then flagged a waitress to handle our request. This unfriendly waitress- Jane, approached to let us know that we could not have a normal dining chair due to owners rules. This was repeated several times in a robotic fashion while we pointed out available chairs. Needless to say, things deteriorated. Jane re-appeared to let us know we would not be served! There was no one to mediate the issue since owners were not present. We left the restaurant.
The owners support the actions of the waitress. They then put a $50.00 charge on our credit card as not showing up for our reservation.
I would suggest avoiding this establishment.

A must try! My new favourite Italian restaurant - Edit
10/10, this place is amazing! Everything we tried was heavenly. My top picks are the eggplant sliders, ravioli, and apple fritters. The lavender lemonade was also delicious.

I would die to have this place near me! The eggplant sliders were incredible. We did the summerlicious menu and got an app, main and dessert for $35. Would highly highly recommend!

The best vegan Italian - Edit
This mostly vegan restaurant was the best Italian I've been too since being plant based. The family run business was everything you want in a restaurant; great food, ambiance and a relaxed, knowledgeable staff who gave great recommendations. The cocktails here were great and the food even better. Had the oyster mushroom calamari, lasagna and tried 3 desserts between the table; the tirimisu, pistachio and lemon cake and apple fritters. My friends had the lighted fried artichoke starter and the mushroom rigatoni and casarecce Nero mains and loved them too. The service was slick too, food came and went quickly which I like.

Easily one of the best plant based restaurants in the city!!! We drove from an hour on a drizzling, foggy night and it was 100% worth it! The cozy intimate setting (we sat upstairs) and delightful staff welcome you in and the incredible food and service will keep you coming back! Our group was a mix of vegan & omnivore and we were all delighted with our meals. Omnivores would never know they are eating vegan/vegetarian, it is just simply AMAZING food! We started by sharing the eggplant sliders, we all wanted more, so good! We also had the calzone (best ever!), and two incredible ravioli dishes. Good wine, cocktail and mocktail selection. We loved everything about our experience and will definitely be making the drive again soon!

I've been here several times for lunch and dinner. Excellent and friendly service paired with delicious and simple dishes using fresh ingredients. I've mostly had the pastas since that's what I gravitate towards, but the apps and salads are also very good.

I went here for dinner with a non-vegan and we were both blown away by the pasta dishes. The portions are huge so it feels well worth the price. Honestly better than a certain more expensive veg pasta restaurant in the city with a quiet vibe inside (although because of the neighbourhood expect that there will be some children there, which is good if you’re looking for a family friendly place). Will be back for sure! I’ve also ordered takeout pizza from them and they gave us hummus on the house. Was very delicious but a lot of balsamic on the pizza. Good wine list, too.
