Great layered meat alternatives - Edit
I went for the layered meat alternatives and it did not disappoint. I’d recommend having it with another rice dish. The fried rice was also very good.

To go for meat replacements! - Edit
We ended up here because it’s one of the few restaurants we could find in Saigon with many meat replacements. It did not disappoint. The menu is very extensive, it was hard to choose something. We tried the vegan braised pork, which was a good meat replacement but the dish and sauce were also outstanding. We also tried the signature rice, which was good. The vegan mackerel was delicious but not very fishy (although I never ate fish so what do I know). The pork was the highlight of the meal.
Read moreWe also tried a fresh coconut and strawberry tea. It was delicious and tea was iced.
Staff doesnt speak English but communication via Google Translate worked. When we went it was completely empty. The restaurant is very nice and I would come back for sure.

Decent food if you like "fancy" but not expensive! - Edit
The food is fine and I certainly won't complain about it, nor is it expensive - although do note that V.A.T isn't included, so the bill might be higher than those indicated on the menu - but I prefer my food "plain", so I probably won't go back there to have anything to eat. That said, if you're dining out with a large group, this place might tick all the requisite boxes for a social meal. The decor's a little plush for my liking and the seats weren't hard enough too. Service was good though and the menu was very large! Free Palestine from Zionist Apartheid and Zionist-perpetrated Genocide enabled by the U.S !
Read morePros: Big menu, Decent prices, Fancy decor
Cons: A bit too fancy, V.A.T not included in the menu prices, Soft seats

Good quality, reasonable prices, friendly staff (unfortunately, they don't speak English). Food delivery drivers have to stand outside and wait. A bit disrespectful.

Treat yourself at Ba Xa - possibly the best vegan food we’ve ever had - Edit
Ba Xa hugely exceeded our expectations. It’s maybe priced a little higher than some other local spots, but it’s with good reason.
Read moreThe environment was great and the staff very friendly. The food though, was special.
We used Ba Xa as our treat night and just ordered lots of different options to try as many things as we could sensibly try to manage.
All of the food was superb, and in particular the main courses of fish and duck were excellent, but we genuinely didn’t have a bad dish.
As the title says, if you’re after a real treat that offers great variety then head to Ba Xa. As a family of four, two kids aged 13 and 11, we all unanimously left saying it was the best vegan food we’ve ever had.
Pros: The range of food options, Fantastic flavours and quality of food , Friendly staff

The best 👌🏼 vegan food in Vietnam, maybe the whole world 🌏 - Edit
I’m truly happy that this restaurant will be in Veganuary feed! We tried three different dishes here which were extremely delicious .

Disappointment - Edit
I had big expectations with this restaurant but was disappointed. The roasted duck was flavourless and the pineapple rice tasted more like burnt pan than pineapple.
Read moreThey do charge extra if you use the wet towels, I've seen this before in Vietnam but in this case they don't provide paper napkins so they kind of force you to use the towels.

Seems like people have different experiences here, luckily our experience was really good. You do have to order rice separately and it is a little more pricey than most restaurants here. Still really recommend!

Best food and best service - Edit
It’s such a beautiful place in a small alleyway. We got the udon noodles and the pineapple fried rice and it was the best food we have had here in Vietnam. The staff is so friendly and gave us time enough to look at the menu and they explained the food we ordered. Even offered to take pictures of us because we said the restaurant was beautiful. Really nice experience and big menu to choose from

Unpleasant experience - Edit
Food was not good. Also asked for fried rice with tofu instead of mock meat. She asked the chef and it was okay but come back with just rice with mushrooms. It had a really weird taste. My boyfriend had the noodlesoup and the flavour was also weird. She asked us to sit when we wanted to pay because she wanted to finish something on her phone and they charged us extra for napkins. Bitter taste after leaving this place..

The fried tofu was really nice, but the service was bad. We received a different dish that wasn’t very tasty. The duck noodle soup was ok. It’s also super weird that we needed to pay for a napkin?! Never heard of that one before…

Good food and several locations, doesn't disappoint - Edit
There's a few of these around Saigon and they have an enourmous menu, so I'm still yet to scratch the surface. Food always comes out so quickly despite the range. Have been with Vegan Vietnamese friends who select the restaurant, so it must be good.

Bà Xã or Loving Wife - Edit
40 metres off Pasteur Street you will find this wonderful restaurant. Clean, quiet environment with four tables downstairs and more on the first floor. There's an extensive menu to choose from. We chose Teppanyaki fish in pepper, Thiết Bảng Ngư (Cá Chạy Sốt Tiêu); Tofu in black bean sauce, Đậu Hủ Sốt Tuong; Baby pumpkin with garlic, Bí Nụ Xào (Bơ Tỏi); Salty Fish (seaweed) Fried Rice, Cơm Chiên Cá Mặn Chay and Salted Lemon drink, Chanh Muối. A very tasty combination with a variety of texture. AU$30/US$20/EUR18.50 We're here for two weeks and this is the closest vegan restaurant. There's a big menu to get through!

Great food and atmosphere but terrible service - Edit
The waiters were two teenage looking boys who spoke no English at all. They seemed to be preoccupied by chasing each other behind the counter. We ordered our food and mine arrived in 5 minutes. We had to ask after the food of my wife after 20 minutes passed. They did not remember it. Then we ordered again and waited for another 20 minutes. Still nothing and my food went completely cold. Then we had to walk up to the counter and ask for our food a second time! They finally understood that she wants to eat too, and delivered the soup in 5 minutes. The most frustrating part was that all the while they were watching videos, chasing each other, laughing, poking and minding everything else besides our food.

Huge menu - Edit
Huge menu, difficult to choose. I ended up trying "roasted cartilage", I got very suspicious if it was real meat, but they explained its made from cotton tree. Experience one may oftrn have with South-East Asian fake meat! Funny Sectarian video running non-stop in background.
