Inside a not vegan restaurant - Edit
This seems deceiving to call it a vegan restaurant when it's inside a restaurant that serves meat. The food was good but we'd intentionally wanted to pick a fully vegan restaurant so everyone in our party would order vegan and were very disappointed to get handed two menus, one that was vegan and one that wasn't.

Confusing Menus - Edit
They had multiple menus and only one of them was vegan so you have to look carefully. They offered lots of meat and dairy options.

Full separate vegan kitchen and menu. What more could you ask for. Soyrizo ban mi and Vietnamese coffee was great.

Decent on the go food - Edit
Went there for the first time this week, at first we were confused because the babar green is only a takeout window to the side of the main restaurant, which is not vegan. The menu had decent options and the food wasn't bad. Having to sit outside or takeaway only is a bit of a bummer though.

Pros: Food made quickly
Cons: To go only
CocktailShaker
They'll let you bring the food inside, but only if you order a drink or something else from the main menu. Kinda weird.

Unique vegan Vietnamese - Edit
Loved my lunch at Ba Bar Green, they offer dishes I haven't seen elsewhere and the staff was very knowledgeable about the menu. The area is a bit busy but is better than some of the vegan restaurants in town.

Solid Food - Edit
The eggplants are so airy and delicate! Plenty of solid vegan dishes! I got the sweet potato laksa ($19.50) and the chickpea miso eggplant ($9.00). Overall, solid options! I went to the SLU location.

Who is ready for salad?? - Edit
Oh yeah my girlfriend and I munched this up like absolutely massive goats at a basketball game. Order the salads/brown rice bowls!! (The lemongrass noodles were good but not to the same level)

Best Bánh Mì in Seattle - Edit
My partner + I used to get a chorizo bánh mì + a tofu bánh mì + split ‘em + try to decide which was better + it almost always ended up a tie. After like a year of that, lol, we branched out. I loved the sweet potato laksa + the chilled tofu w/mustard greens. I liked the Singapore noodles + the roasted sweet potato. I wasn’t big on the kimchi fried rice or the dan dan noodles, prolly bc I don’t like Beyond Meat.
Read moreMy partner wanted to do the bánh mì thing again, but I saw new dishes on the menu + ordered the braised tofu box bc we’re both suckers for potato salad. Regret. The potato salad was runny + didn’t make sense in the bowl, so I took it out + stirred everything else together before plating. The potato salad was a no, but the rest was a yes. We also got the baby kale + quinoa salad, which was good but not $9 good. Y’all know what we’re getting next time!

Nice vegan menu - Edit
The Ba Bar Green menu at the regular Ba Bar restaurant offers a bunch of great options. Had a few apps (eggplant, spinach/tofu wrap, potatoes) that were “ok”. The tofu bahn mi though was out of this world, really good!

NOT A VEGAN RESTAURANT - Edit
Be warned that this is not a vegan restaurant. Ba bar green is just a vegan menu at a normal meat serving restaurant. This listing should be changed to an omni restaurant with vegan options. Food is good, if a bit overpriced.
Read morePros: Dan dan noodles
Cons: Meat is served, No real dishes. Only paper plates. , Misleading as it is not a vegan restaurant.

I believe the kitchen is separate from Ba Bar, but yes they are right next to each other. It’s a bit confusing

The sweet potato laksa and papaya salad were delicious and refreshing especially on a sunny day like today. I really liked the use of mint in the salad and will definitely be stealing the recipe 😈

I had the sweet potato Laksa, and found it delicious. You can order at their window for takeout, but now you can also order from the Ba Bar Green menu inside Ba Bar, if you’d like a sit down meal and a drink.

Our first visit to Ba Bar Green was a success. We lucked out with a beautiful winter day and sat outside. We were the only table being served outside and the inside was packed. Service was exceptional and very attentive, especially with how busy they were at lunch on a Thursday.
Read moreFinding restraint, we ordered the chorizo bahn mi(with avocado) and fired kimchi rice. I was partial to the bahn mi…The blend of beyond meat chorizo, avocado with jalapeños an all the typical bahn mi was hitting all the flavor profiles.
Paired with the house vinegar drink… cucumber and red raspberry worked great.
Pros: It’s Vegan, Outside seating, outdoor order/pick up, Location(easy walk from Seattle Center)

Nice South Lake Union option - Edit
Love that Ba Bar Green is entirely vegan. Their about me on their website says they explore the flavors of Vietnam, China, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and more. I ordered the Farmers Tamarind Soup and my partner ordered the Lemongrass Tofu Singapore Noodle. We both enjoyed our food eating in the Ba Bar area 👍. It appears Ba Bar is not vegan but will allow you to order from the Ba Bar Green menu and sit there to eat.

Pricy but Tasty East Asian Dishes - Edit
Ba Bar Green functions as a vegan take-out counter but you can order food and dine inside the full 'Ba Bar' with drinks and the works. My friend and I did that and enjoyed some really bomb Asian inspired vegan food.
Read moreI ordered their Curry Laksa ($18) and it was my first time having laksa since going plant-based, and it did not disappoint. Thick rice noodles with a spicy, coconut curry with fried tofu, beansprouts, and other veggies - overall very aromatic and tasty. My friend ordered their Dan Dan Mien with Beyond Meat and it was delicious as well.
We also cheers to two of their frosty drinks which was perfect for a nice summer Seattle evening.
Definitely one of the best spots for a good vegan meal here in the city. If you come towards closing, you can still order and dine inside the bar as long as you make it before their last call.

Cons: Pricy

Love this place!!! - Edit
Unfortunately we picked up food here on our last day, but this was so so good. You have to try the lemongrass tofu Singapore noodle and the iced Thai coffee! We also ordered food for in 15 minutes but couldn’t make it so we called in and they were super friendly about it and stored the iced coffee in the fridge until we got there 2 hours later. If you click on directions in HappyCow, check if the address is correct, because with Apple maps, it lead us to a totally different location!

Yum!! - Edit
Ordered at Ba Bar Green window and sat outside. Split the papaya salad, miso eggplant side and garlic kimchi fried rice with a friend. The eggplant was perfect. So smokey but not overpowering and the sauce was delicious. The fried rice was really flavorful and the papaya salad was fresh. Perfect dinner. Also ordered drinks inside Ba Bar which has some really fun cocktails.

Pretty good but not enough spice - Edit
This place was pretty solid. The tamarind soup was especially good. In the soup and laksa the sweet potato and squash were way too big for my mouth but still tasty.

Been a fan - Edit
I’ve been a fan of Ba Bar even prior to this transition to vegan food. I ordered the Kabocha & sweet potato Laksa and a tofu banh Mi. I thought the kabocha was good with the broth being very flavorful. Banh mi was good as well but definitely expensive for a banh mi, but that’s to be expected given the area.
Read moreBe aware that I ordered the food via UberEATS. I called to inquire about eating in but was told that in order to dine in, you must buy something from the regular Ba Bar menu as well. Keep that in mind if you wish to dine in.
All in all, definitely looking forward to trying more dishes.
