The fussili dish looks boring, but was voted in the top-3-pasta-list of my husband. I really enjoyed the Caesar salad.

Just ok - Edit
We went for dinner and we weren’t that impressed. The food didn’t have a lot of flavor. It seems like they’re more concerned with the presentation than the flavor. The fresh bread with the dips was VERY good but overall I wouldn’t go back. The service was very good, our server was helpful and kind. They were also out of the deserts on the menu as well as a couple of the entrees.

Excellent spot near the Acropolis - Edit
I was looking for something after finishing my day of tourism, but it is also Easter Monday so I wasn't sure what would be open. Luckily for me someone had just posted a review a few hours prior saying they are open for Easter so I took a chance and went.
Read moreIt was open and there were plenty of tables. The waitress said they had been swamped all day and I was eating a little late for me - around 8pm, but I have found that it doesn't seem to be too late for European countries and I'm grateful.
Because of the holiday they hadn't replenished some of their supplies so there were items not available on the menu, but they let me know right away. Mostly it was a couple of starters and a salad. I was hungry so I was looking for a main dish to have for dinner anyway.
I chose the cacciatore, kombucha to drink, and for dessert a rose baklava cheesecake! I love vegan restaurants and all their delicious versions of food.
The cacciatore was so good! The noodles were cooked al dente and were thick. The sauce was delicious and the only thing that would have made it better would be a tiny piece of bread to soak up the sauce remaining in the bowl. It came with a homemade vegan cheese on top that was so yummy and creamy. The vegan chicken in the sauce was also tasty and not the main star of the meal - the sauce was. I would definitely recommend this bowl of pasta.
The kombucha was a pumpkin mango flavor and was a really interesting combination. It was also tasty and not too vinegary. I love mango and I think it went really well with the pumpkin. It's something I would never have thought of. Unique, pretty, and delicious.
The last thing I had was the rose foam baklava cheesecake. I love love love rose flavor and I also love when I can find vegan baklava. I think that made my expectations too high for the cheesecake. It was good, but not what I was hoping for. The rose flavor was really diluted and I would only get hints of it. The cheesecake had some sort of piped frosting that really wasn't my favorite texture. The filo dough was flaky, but it also seemed somehow soggy at the same time.
Again it wasn't a bad dessert by any means, but I just was expecting more baklava, more rose, and less frosting. I will try the other dessert next time.
I recommend coming here. The communication and service was perfect. They take cards and cash. The menu has a lot to choose from. They are fairly quick for a sit down restaurant. The portions are perfect. They speak English really well.
Pros: Great service , Lots of options , Open on holidays

Absolute Gem - Edit
Avit is an absolute gem! Every single dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented, but the real star of the show was their potato fries—crispy, golden perfection with just the right seasoning. Whether you’re vegan or just looking for amazing food, Avit is a must-visit!

Some of the most flavourful food i have had whilst travelling europe. The all day breakfast was amazing - I have never had tofu done like that before! It was a super friendly place, the waitress was even able to make some vegan athens recommendations. A MUST visit when in athens.

Tasty but (partially) too heavy - Edit
The restaurant was comfortable and the stuff was very friendly. The taste of the tasted dishes was great and I liked the proper bread which was served to the dips.
Read moreNevertheless, the Crispy Club Sandwich was ways too heavy, at least after having a starter(, and I am used to eat a lot). I was not able to finish (Note: Starters were shared by two persons). At the same time everything was a bit sweet.
The caramelized sugar pieces of the Tomato Tartar were as strong that it was scary to bite on them. These pieces made the dish also very sweet which was (in my opinion) not necessary.

THE BEST VEGAN RESTAURANT - Edit
This is the must visit restaurant when in Athens! For brunch, lunch or dinner, the food is absolutely amazing! One of the most mouthwatering experiences you are going to have ! I love the the brunch plates, Avit breakfast with the most perfect tofu, French toast and unbelievably tasty rolls ! Definitely try the panino and club sandwich! You will leave this place with full stomach and happy face ! And all that in the most central place of Athens within a beautifully decorated historic old building!

Brunch spot - Edit
Headed here after seeing pics of refined looking meals on here. Unfortunately it was a brunch menu. I had a tofu club sandwich and he had the avit breakfast - steamed fake eggs, avocado and fake bacon. We shared both meals and I have to say that it was all delicious even if it was not what we had planned. There were some amazing looking pastries but we were stuffed and could not manage another mouthful!
