Alice and Mush Love is a MUST - Edit
1st time here. Paid street parking available (currently $2.50 an hour). Cute place. Dine in available. Small groups of two or larger groups (they put the tables together). They also have a few stools available for single diners.
Read moreI started with the Tomka Soup. I have had this Traditional Thai Soup before at other locations. Coconut broth seasoned with lemon grass, lime juice, galangal, and kaffir lime leaves. It was good with a little kick. I would have preferred a little more bite. It also had vegetables in it.
Moved into mush love as an app. Wow! This is a must get. The trumpet mushrooms and secret seasonings were absolutely amazing. Would definitely come back even just for this. I don’t know how I missed the Bao buns but will come back to try those also.
I moved onto their Kung Pao Ding. Nice portion size dish. I had it with the fried tofu and loved it.
Many different options available and worth coming back to try every dish they have.
Pros: Many options, Good serving size, Good tasting food

Loving Hut - Edit
A rose by any other name… This is a Loving Hut under a nom de plume. That being said, the food is amazing, as is with most Loving Hut locations. My favorites include Blissful Joy (aka vegan shrimp), Salt n Pepper Popcorn Chicken, Satay Skewers, Corn Chowder, Chow Mein with “ham”, and Golden Yuba Fried Rice. Flavors are always exquisite. Service is typically very good.

Plenty of options - Edit
We had dinner here and really enjoyed it. The menu has plenty of options, wish we could have tried more! We really liked the skewers, they were quite flavorful with two different dipping sauces. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. Would definitely come again when we're in the area.

Best in Chicago! (Esp. for folks with food sensitivities!) - Edit
Most likely the best vegan place in Chicago for anyone with food sensitivities or additional restrictions, they are really great and attentive to your requests about sensitivities / intolerance of certain ingredients and, simultaneously, their food is simply amazing.
Read moreHighly recommended: bibimbop, agedashi tofu, mushroom wonderland, laksa, well probably everything but we haven't tried it all yet!
P s. They might be the best in Chicago even if you don't have food sensitivities! It's really good food.

One of my favorite vegan restaurants! - Edit
Everything is so good! We had the Crab Rangoon, Fried Dumplings, Crispy Spring Rolls, corn chowder, wonton soup. Delicious especially the Crab Rangoon. Placed another order. Our server was very attentive and nice.

Fresh, good quality - Edit
Crab Rangoon was full of "crab" and hardly any cream cheese which made it super flavorful. We took little bites to make it last longer. Cauliflower sweet and sour had veggies with just the right amount of crunch and using cauliflower instead of mock meat was very satisfying. Tiramisu was crabby and wonderful but does have a hint of coconut.

LOTS OF DELICIOUS OPTIONS! ! - Edit
We ordered the satay skewers, chow mein and dol sot bi bim bab and chocolate mousse pie. Let’s start with the pie - *sigh* - just get it. The satay was crispy and had a nice texture and sauces (esp the vinegar one). It tastes similar to the real thing. The chow mein was very flavorful and the noodles were delicious. The dol sot…was hot, healthy, comfort food. Overall so nice to have so many delicious choices and desserts!!

Some of the best food ever had. I had the curry and my partner had the ramen and both were amazing. I was a little worried about the shrimp but it was fantastic in texture and taste

Easy vegan - Edit
Really chill SEA inspired vegan dishes. It's a conveniently located vegan spot for me so it's become a common favorite. I've gone with non-veg friends and they loved their meals. It's a nicely sized menu and the service is great.

Long drive, but worth it!! - Edit
I'm so glad my friend, a former northsider, told me about Alice's!! It's quite a hike from my south side neighborhood, but so very worth it. The food is fresh and tasty and my hubby and son (not vegan/vegetarian) also rave about the fare. Great service to boot!

Delicious and creative! - Edit
The food here is really creative and delicious. And what I really loved is how vegetable forward it is. So many veg restaurants don’t offer a lot of fresh vegetables with their entrees and focus on the protein instead. Here, you get lots of veggies and terrific flavor!

Healthy and always accomodating - Edit
Some in my family have extreme dietary restrictions, but they are always able to find something here. The food never fails to be comforting and tasty, and it's nice to know that it's healthy as well. Their deserts (even the raw ones) blew me away. Their heavenly curry is truly heavenly.

Amazing desserts, good food - Edit
Really great menu. Fully vegan restaurant with AMAZING DESSERT SELECTION.
Read moreThe soy ice cream is a little icy (as in more like a snocone than a creamy thing), but the flavor is delicious (I got mint chocolate chip). They have a STELLAR vegan tiramisu. I drool.
The honey walnut shrimp is so delicious. Brown rice was a little dry, and the broccoli got cold fast outdoors, but the candied walnuts and that cream sauce make up for everything.
Bao was amazing too. Omni friend said it tasted like beef!
They are mostly an Asian-inspired menu but even have some other options like well-loved Mac n cheese and tacos.
Update: the Mac n cheese is beyond five stars. The mushroom sandwich three (the mushroom was real tough in spots). The crab Rangoon is four stars, and the key lime pie is 4.5
