My favorite healthy vegan restaurant ever - Edit
This place is phenomenal! The food was so delicious, filling, and also still very healthy. My partner and I liked it so much that we came back two days later to order more.
Read moreMy favorite orders: taro pancakes, born in bali tempeh bowl (I added the sesame tempeh), and the avocado matcha
Don’t order: the iced mint matcha. The peppermint oil in it is way too overpowering

Pros: All the tempeh bowls (we ordered 3 of them), All the smoothies/shakes (we ordered 4 of them), The pink latte
Cons: Iced mint matcha. Wayyyy too much mint

Fancy atmosphere - Edit
They have a wide range of interesting vegan choices on the menu, including chocolate which looked quite tempting.
Read moreThis time I was going for a breakfast plate of which I liked the toast and hummus the best. It could have been a larger portion for the price but I'm not complaining.
They also have an outside terrace and the whole place is decorated tastefully.

Really delicious bowl - Edit
The tempeh was really good. I can’t recommend the mint matcha latte, it tasted like toothpaste but that may be a me problem. Food came pretty fast!

Agree! I ordered the matcha latte and thought the peppermint was way too strong. Everything else was amazing though

A+ for location, B for food - Edit
Love the location and ambience, it’s chic but not overly fancy. The food was fine, nothing I can’t easily make myself at home. The jackfruit “chicken” curry tasted very briny like it was just poured out of a can and had some sauce mixed in. Good portions though! I really didn’t like being forced to order a drink (honestly just prefer to drink water with lunch) and the drink I ordered was very sweet and bland, with none of the flavors the menu described. The cold pressed juice was much better. I might go again sometime and try the chocolates, which genuinely looked amazing, but I doubt I’d get lunch here again.
Read morePros: All vegan , Gorgeous roomy space with a nice terrace, Large, customizable menu
Cons: Pretty bland food (don’t expect Indonesian flavor), Drink order mandatory, and they’re rather pricy

Blown away - Edit
I had expected that the food would be good, but the price would high and the portions small. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the food was GREAT and the portions were surprisingly large. Yeah, it’s not exactly cheap, but the friendly service and beautiful setting made up for it. I had the Made In Bali bowl and the carrot cake. Can’t wait to come back.

It was nice to visit Alchemy in Japan after so many years of visiting the original location in Bali.

First ever meal in Tokyo and what a find! - Edit
We just arrived here and were looking for just some decent vegan food to soothe our jetlag - I think we found a really amazing place. Setting is elegant and stylish and the service just too sweet - so polite, conversational and thankful! And the food - I had a bowl with multiple fresh tastes, as well as an egg salmon toast to go with it, both exquisite. We finished it off with a tasty, milky bowl of icecream! Will definitely visit again. Just my thing! Highly recommended!

Good but too expensive - Edit
Lots of options to customise your plate! Everything is healthy and freshly prepared. The teishoku was good but not really filling. The pancakes were really good! Personally I didn’t like the coconut milk cream which they use in their desserts. The flavor is just really strong. I prefer almond or soy based which is more neutral.

The prices are set way to high. You pay for the brand and the location I guess.
Also don’t like the qr code order system.

Depends what you order - Edit
Obviously we love an all vegan place, especially in Japan. But I think in terms of flavour, portion(fullness) it depends what you order. I got a mixed plate sort of meal which was really filling and pretty good. However my partner got a courgette pasta sort of dish and felt not only was it not very filling, but it was a bit boring.

AMAZING 10/10 - Edit
After our last few days in Japan being a bit of a foodie disappointment (lots of places closed with NY approaching), we were SO happy to venture to Alchemy and enjoy our last lunch here. Words can’t describe the quality, freshness, ambience and ethos of the whole place - you need to try it for yourself. We enjoyed The Champion Breakfast Plate, Taro Pancakes, Egg Salad Toast and two of the best coffees we’ve had in Japan so far. Everything was 10/10, great service and easy ordering via their QR code. Wish we came here sooner!
Read moreUPDATE: Our flight home was delayed so we ventured back for an early dinner! A million times better than airplane food. We got two of the bowls and a cold pressed juice. Service was excellent!

Wow - this place is an experience! Really slick minimalist vibe, food is very well presented. Portions are small, but we left feeling full! The non-alcoholic beer was full of flavour, best one I've ever had. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Really good food - Edit
The place just opened so the staff is still training but they were nice and have so many different options. A tad on the pricey side but I'm so glad to have a vegan restaurant just in front of my office! I got the "born in Bali" bowl and it was delicious!
