Delicious food 😋

Initially we walked straight past this cafe as it's not signed well.

The cafe itself is a little tired looking but it's all about the food. I ordered the nourish bae-rrito bowl. My friend ordered the umommy, pasta dish with mushrooms. My meal smelled & tasted absolutely delicious. We cleared our plates. For food quality & friendly staff I couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

Loved the burritos!

I dined at Ahimsa Sanctuary twice while visiting Singapore and tried the mushroom pasta and tex mex burrito, as well as a the cold pressed juices. Really enjoyed them all! It had a good atmosphere too and I personally experienced good service - we didn’t have WiFi/data on our phones so couldn’t order via the QR code, and even though they didn’t have a physical menu, they were able to pull it up on a phone for me.

Horrible service

If service is bad, none of the flavours can make it s good experience. Very not welcoming.

A Rustic Vegan Retreat with Tasty Dishes and Warm Vibes

Ahimsa Sanctuary is a delightful vegan haven that offers a warm, rustic dining experience in a cosy, open kitchen setting. The space itself is charming, with a relaxed atmosphere that encourages guests to unwind and enjoy the meal at hand.

The food is the real standout. Everything on the menu is vegan, and portion sizes are generous. We particularly enjoyed the bagel, burrito, and salad—each dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavour. The lemonade served alongside the meal was refreshingly delicious and perfectly complemented the flavours of the food.

The staff at Ahimsa Sanctuary are incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming, peaceful atmosphere of the place. While the menu may be somewhat limited, the quality and taste of the dishes make up for it. If you’re looking for a cozy, vegan-friendly spot to relax and enjoy a wholesome meal, Ahimsa Sanctuary is definitely worth a visit.

Pros: Delicious, satisfying vegan meals, Gorgeous rustic building with an open kitchen, Super friendly staff

Cons: Limited menu options

Decent

I almost missed the entrance behind the plants, it's beautiful. The food is orderable via qr code (free wifi with password) and you pay directly online by credit card. My plain breakfast bowl was very good and the salad tasted wonderful and I felt satisfied after that healthy meal. Reasonable prices too.

Delicious

A cosy courtyard and small eatery surrounded by plants. I came for a late lunch and many dishes had already sold out (so: go early if you’re after something specific). I still had plenty of choice and ordered too much!

Pros: Delicious drinks, Yummy food, Nice place to sit for a bit

Vegan and Ayurvedic, Yoga Classes

Relocated from Kent Ridge and rebranded as Ahimsa Sanctuary. This new outlet is much larger, with a 2000 sq ft space (5x previous space), offering yoga classes and wellness workshops. This is in addition to well-loved vegan and Ayurvedic (traditional Indian medicine)-inspired food, including smoothies, sandwiches, grain bowls, salads, and more. Would highly recommend dishes such as Birria-Style Jackfruit Tacos, Eggplant Dipper, Tomato Dipper, Lion's Mane Mushroom Pops, Croissant with Chickpea Mash, Loaded Tortilla Chips, etc! Drinks are also infused with superfoods like beetroot, moringa, and ashwagandha; and other than the default Oatside oat milk, premium mylk options such as pistachio milk are available at no extra charge. Everything is wholesome and delicious, easily among the best vegan food I've eaten! Many allium-free options and customisation available.

The yoga classes are also focused on philosophy and breathwork, plus there is a reading nook too. So happy that the sweetest and kindest owner Ash has finally managed to create what she originally envisioned pre-COVID! All the team members share the same values too - "Ahimsa" means respect and non-violence to all living beings, including self and others. Truly a sanctuary offering a respite from the hustle and bustle of city life, with a calming atmosphere and beautiful decor done up from scratch by the girls. LGBTQ friendly too, with a special soft opening during Pride Month alongside queer/ally-owned brands! Also supportive of various causes, such as having collab pop-ups and a monthly special smoothie with sales contributing to charity. A stone’s throw away from Maxwell MRT; also walking distance from Chinatown MRT.

Ideal Yoga & Vegan Cafe combo

I’ve brought 5 friends here for an hour of yoga and then a delicious lunch after. The food is fresh, tasty and a good variety to choose from. It’s in a shophouse so it has a peaceful atmosphere and the staff is always friendly

Pros: Delicious vegan food, Great atmosphere , Reasonable prices

Cons: No aircon but fans in indoor space , Meals don’t all come at once

Clean healthy food!

We loved this cafe so much! After long days of travel we were looking forward to a clean healthy meal. All of the smoothie bowls were amazing as well as the tofu scramble. We also got their iced matcha everyday because it was the best around😊 highly recommend to anyone in Singapore!

Pros: Clean , Environment friendly , Friendly

Meh

Fancy looking and nice presentation but lacking flavor. I had high expectations with "top rated" label but didn't find food anything special.

So happy Ahimsa is here!

This vegan cafe stands out among all others. The food is delicious, thoughtfully and mindfully prepared and the prices are transparent by being all inclusive.

All the staff are calm and friendly which affects the energy and feel of the place. Everything we tried has been flavourfully balanced. We have tried the Deluxe and BLT bagels which were deliciously fresh and balanced in flavour. We also had the Burrito Bowl and the Magic Shrooms. Every element is tasty and thoughtfully included, texture, crunch, flavour, creamy- the balance in each dish shines. We loved the home made kombucha and the cool as a cucumber water they greeted us with. We hope Ahimsa stays here for good🌟

Tasty vegan food

Ahimsa sanctuary really lives out its values! No mock meats here, just tasty wholefoods cooked in dishes with imagination and use of spices and herbs to flavour. We had a burrito filled with kale, vegan pesto, sweet potato and tempeh with was very tasty. Has indoor and covered outdoor seating as well as takeaway options. Uses fans to keep diners cool - it's 31 degrees today and we are just right! Lovely staff and clean bright premises and toilet. We might just be back for breakfast...

Pros: Plant based wholefood, Great service, Pay by cash or card via the app

pricey, food is mid

i’ve never left a sad review before but i was disappointed after visiting the new ahimsa sanctuary :(

food wasn’t anything special or fantastic, but was quite pricey. also, most options on the menu seemed to be spicy, and it isn’t as if their options are extensive to begin with. i think i’d have to try more of their food to leave a fairer review, but after this experience i wouldn’t go back again 😅

still, this might be for you (since so many people seem to rave about it) even if it’s not for me!

Cons: expensive, limited non-spicy options

Ahimsa Cafe, Singapore

Their website said open til 9 pm. I arrived at 8 pm. Staff smiled and said, "We're closed", expecting I cheerfully stroll off elsewhere. I explained my co-diner and I had travelled 1 hr on public transport specifically to eat at this venue. My co-diner asked about the 9 pm closing time listed on their website, and was advised that is their planned opening schedule from next month. Staff were utterly oblivious to the idea that it's an issue that their published misinfo wastes people's time and money.

Happycow won't let me rate this place lower than 2.

Conveniently located, healthy options

Staff is friendly. The food taste healthy and not too salty. If you don't consume alliums, just inform the staff and they would be able to assist and share non-allium options on the menu.

Can make your own bowl and pick from available items.

Delicious food!

[SG, Vegan, Alliums Free options] First time trying the small cozy @ahimsa.cafe with @greens_hopper. Went on Weekday lunch time- cafe was packed.

All foodie ordered were delicious & I was so impressed by the Deluxe Bagel. The tempeh bacon and scrambled tofu were such a good savoury pairing to the bagel. @greens_hopper also noted the rarely alliums-free pesto sauce (cool huh 🤩). I would recommend you all to try their bagel! I would so order this again when visiting.

Menu has clear indication on what contain alliums and what not. You can ask the staff too- they are friendly and helpful.

Pros: Delicious , Friendly staff, Extensive menu

Cons: Limited seatings
