Beetroot burger not vegan? - Edit
Based on the reviews here on HappyCow, I assumed the beetroot burger was vegan, but it came with cheese that tasted “dairy-based” and melted a bit too well to be vegan. The reviews I saw here are also a bit older, and on the menu this burger is listed as “veggie,” which could mean vegetarian rather than vegan. Cheese isn’t actually listed as one of the burger ingredients, so I’m not entirely sure. Best to double-check before ordering if you’re vegan.

Amazing beetroot falafel - Edit
The beetroot falafel pita here is amazing! Tastes almost like meatballs. At one point we had to ask th chef to be sure, but he said it was only beetroot. And the sauce in the pitta is so good. Very reasonable prices as well.

Great streetfood with good prices - Edit
There is only one vegan restaurant in whole Chania at the moment so we were very excited to find this place with vegan options. After inquiry we found they cook meat and vegan substitutes in the same oil but they were kind enough to do our food separately in a pan with clean oil 🙏🏻.
Read moreWe love that they have their own veggie ferments🥗 and sourdough pita (haven't found any real sourdough bakeries in Chania yet) from wheat and barley. The owner pleasently surprised us with his new vegan experiment from fermented herbs🌿(forgot to take a picture😅). We wouldn't expect all these great things at this type of restaurant.
We really appreciate this openness to alternative/vegan foodies❤️.
The music was too loud for us but we enjoyed our stay and the food was delicious with good prices. Looking forward to our next visit 😊.
