Amazing pastries - Edit
We went for an afternoon snack, so didn’t eat from the main menu. I ordered the “Calzone” (7.50€)which was a pepper and salami empanada and my wife had a kind of custard roll (4€). They were both excellent. We then waited for a fresh batch of vegan Pastel de Nata (2€ each) to be cooked and took two away with us. I only wish I’d ordered more of them!
Read moreIt’s not cheap, but I don’t think it’s too expensive for the great quality and flavour. The pastel de nata is highly recommended and I ate them so fast i forgot to take a photo.

Great food and cozy coffee shop like atmosphere. Great menu with some traditional Portuguese dishes veganized. I enjoyed the “cod” and a pastel de nata. They brought me a small free appetizer.

Amazing sweet breakfast - Edit
The croissant with nata filling looked so good that both of us ordered it. It came warm and was very tasty, with a lovely strong cinnamon flavour. The homemade tea with ginger, cinnamon, mint, matcha and lemon sounded like it would be too many different flavours but it smelled and tasted really good. The staff was very friendly and patiently explained all the options.

They were so nice they deserve 5 stars easily. The menu is inspired by Portuguese specialties, but all vegan. They're also a bakery and not much is gluten-free by default, so we discussed what was possible to order from the menu as they were happy to make amendments.
Read moreThe cod was made with an entire block of super firm tofu (so big we had to share), and they made the cornbread gluten-free just for us. As a result, it took quite some time but we were not in a rush. They gave us some mushrooms in a tomato sauce as a starter while we waited. Everything felt a bit salty (especially the cornbread), but water is free and unlimited.

The dishes are made with a lot of love and dedication, and they are super friendly and attentive. They also gave me a starter while I waited for my food!!! And, for the quality and the generous portions, the price was incredible: a coffee with milk, two starters, a main course and a dessert were 19€ 😸

Even though we tried a couple of the breakfast items on the menu, the croissants are the ones who made us visit this place almost every day during our stay in Porto. If you are looking for a nice pastry to go with your morning coffee, A Padoca won't dissapoint.

The place has a real nice atmosphere great food and the best service we got in Porto. The staff is really kind and made us feel really welcome. They offered us to try a new dish for free and even served it with great port wine. The shakshuka was brilliant and the kinder croissant was delicious . Highly recommend!
