When I became a mom, I took the natural plunge into motherhood devotion and almost instantly I started to feel a connection between me and all animal mothers, especially cows. Once I learned the horrors of the dairy industry, I could not look away. I knew she had to speak up about the pain cows endure when their babies are ripped away at birth so we—humans—can have milk in our coffee. Since then, I have evolved from an entrepreneur to a “vegan for the animals” mother of two. In my journey to raise her children to be the healthiest and most compassionate boys, I've gone from opening an organic vegan cafe to writing Little Animals, Mean World book series. I hopes my books spark kids curiosity for the truth behind food, fashion and all other businesses that use animals as commodities. I was born in Bogota, Colombia and raised in Miami, Florida. Now daring the dry dessert heat and the dazzling lights of Las Vegas, Nevada raising my two boys. When I'm not writing or being a mom, I love to crush a poker challenge, going for a long hike at Red Rock Canyon, or most likely searching for perfectly ripe avocados, as all right thinking vegans would.
