We’ve never claimed to be fully vegan, but we’re proud to offer vegan alternatives for almost every item on our menu. Had you ordered a vegan version of the toast, it would have been served with our coconut-based vegan sour cream. Similarly, the carrot mousse — when ordered as a vegan item — is served with vegan Chantilly cream made from plant based products from VioLife, our trusted vegan supplier. If there was any confusion, we would have been more than happy to clarify or replace the item at the time — our team is always open and eager to help. Our chef loves engaging with guests to explain the concept and story behind the cafe, especially since our menu was inspired by personal experiences with food sensitivities in his own family. That said, we understand not everyone prefers chatty service, and we apologize if it felt too much. As for the plates and cutlery, we’ve chosen to use biodegradable, imported palm leaf-based plates and wooden utensils to reduce environmental impact — avoiding both plastic and the heavy detergent use that comes with reusable dishwashing.
