Hi M&A, I really apologise for your experience. It is a shock for me to hear of one of waiters making a comment like that! I agree that that is clearly unacceptable. We normally encourage our vegan alternative, even for non-vegan customers, and have a focus on adding more and improving our existing vegan dishes/alternatives. Most recently we have created an egg yolk (vegan) that looks and tastes almost like the real thing!! We also do offer vegan cheese for both the burger and toasties.. made locally by 'Petiscos'. It's possible we had just run out, although that is quite a rare occurrence and regardless it was clearly not communicated well. (Just a note I believe I can tell who made that statement and due to separate reasons, he is already not working with us). As for the chips and soup, I'm not sure what to say, as other customers keep coming back time and time again for both the Sweet Potato Tempura and the soups!
