Normally the door person/waiter, or the bar person, will give you the menu, and show you a table, unless you sneak past them,. Our customers normally greet the staff when they arrived, having read the sign outside which says "Ask at the bar for a table", or the sign on the end of the bar saying "Please, Wait to be seated", in 3 languages. At busy times the door is locked from outside, to try to stop people just walking in, and taking any table, the bar is small and often 2 people will take the table for 5, or even a table that is already occupied by people who are tasting the beers at the bar.
