Fave Himalayan food

This is the best Himalayan food I’ve found that is vegan friendly. More options are vegan friendly than you would think looking at the menu or takeout menu online, but they’re not the most obviously labeled. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable though. The food is quite heavy, which isn’t unexpected for the type of cuisine.

Zuzu Momo is such a cool Nepali restaurant in Everett. All the staff are lovely and the vibe inside is so cozy. I was so hungry when I came I didn’t take photos (sorry)! Their menu inside has vegetarian and vegan options clearly labeled (the one online is less clear, I think). I’ve had numerous items on the menu as I was vegetarian and recently became vegan. LOVE the flavorful spices and sauces with their many dishes. Their vegan spring rolls are yummy and the momos come with a spicy sauce and a peanut sauce to dip in. The veggie momos seem to be a veggie/tofu/curry filling. I’m not sure if ghee is used with the momos to ensure it’s vegan but one could ask. It is likely oil, but again, you may want to double check. They have amazing vegetarian dishes and a vegan potato tomato curry dish I’ll have to try next time. They also have creative alcoholic beverages and local brews.

Pros: Lots of vegetarian options, Numerous vegan options, Cozy place with a friendly atmosphere

Cons: Small inside if come at busy time, More vegetarian options than vegan
