Amazing taste - Edit
This was such a good meal. I had the Cordon Bleu which, although not really what you expect, it was really tasty. I had a hemp cocoa smoothie that was also pretty tasty. Not cheap, but I don't agree with the "$$$" rating from happy cow. My meal was 110kn with drink.

Amazing food - Edit
This place is really really worth trying. We had the miso sesame soup, the quinoa salade and the mega protein plate. The soup was very nice with a lot of veggies and tofu in it. The salad was very simple but very good with a nice balance of taste. And the mega protein plate was AMAZING, it was one of the best tofu I’ve ever had. We didn’t try the dessert as we were full!

All-organic, all-vegan, all-delicious - Edit
Creative menu with just the right amount of choice. They grow most of their food themselves, even the tofu is homemade with soy from their own farm. Everything on the menu sounded so tempting, I may need to come a second time. A bit pricier than other options, but good value and still not expensive by international standards.

Ok, aber... - Edit

Would recommend it😄 - Edit
It’s a hidden gem. Next to a pub you have to go down the ally way but it’s there!
Read moreWe got there pretty late with 45mins until closing which made picking food harder because not everything was available
I got the falafel meal and it was lovely, the falafels were full of flavour and I have a lot of falafels and I can say they taste very different than the usual ones I have back in London. Their own Tahini sauce was delicious. Really enjoyed my dish.
My boyfriend order the mega protein which was a combo of soya and tempeh
Pros: Organic vegan restaurant!, Affordable not overly expensive
Cons: It’s hidden but then that could also be a postive, Don’t arrive later than 8:30 so you can pick food

The best vegan meal in Croatia - Edit
My partner and I stopped here for brunch. The cordon bleu was one of the best I’ve ever had and the desserts were truly unforgettable. Although it’s considerably expensive for Zagreb, you shouldn’t miss this spot!

Best Vegan Eatery in Zagreb - Edit
Zrno Bio Bistro is my favorite restaurant in Zagreb, hands down. I cannot get enough of this place! Everything on their menu is vegan and organic. Plus all their vegetables come from their own organic farm near Zagreb, or other local producers. They are a bit pricier than other places in Zagreb, but you can expect high quality and exceptional taste. Every time I visit I get the ginger udon soup with parsley tempura. It’s so delicious!

Very tasty and healthy - Edit
Great food, got the baked tofu and seitan cordon bleu which we liked the best. Julie ginger lemonade was refreshing on a hot day and not super sweet which I loved. The pudding was so good, I need to learn to make it. Had to exercise self control to not order another.

Vegan comfort food - Edit
They have many options, most more confort style food. The chili and the red pasta were good. I didn't care much about the "veiled farm girl" dessert, though, it had no flavor at all.

Vegan with great patio - Edit
We ordered several items on the menu, the falafel and true Makro plate stood out. The sweet potato fries weren’t the best and the “smoothies” are just juices but everything else was great!

Organic, Vegan quiet place - Edit
A nice vegan place located near the city center. Prices are a little bit more expensive than the average in Zagreb but still cheap in comparison to where I come from. Food was great and I got it pretty fast.

Tucked away little spot, all organic and the food was great. I had the megaprotein bowl and I have to say that this was some of the best tofu and tempeh I’ve ever had. The sweet potato fries and bbq sauce was good too!

Delicious & homemade - Edit
I love their concept and the fact thay bring ingelredients from their own vegetable farm and make everything by hand including tofu and seitan. My favorite thing to eat is "pohani tofu" which is breaded fried tofu, it remind me of my favorite dish as a child which was breaded fried cheese!

Best food - but not all locally sourced - Edit
Best food I had in Zagreb. Vegan, super fresh and mostly locally sourced. Only three stars because their ad says everything is locally sourced. However the water was imported from Germany. And my smoothie had a single use plastic straw. Not sustainable

Fun to eat at a place who grows their own food! Everything felt very fresh and we liked the outdoor seating. We might have taken the wrong dishes, but the food wasn’t exceptional. :)

Thought this was "mainstream" veganized food - Edit
Due to the many reviews I thought this restaurant was capable of satisfying "mainstream"-consumers needs.
Read moreI ordered a burger e.g. and I didnt get a classical burger but only a patty with two types of salad with an unknown ingredient which tasted strange. My family had some nice tasting meals, e.g. the red noodles and the falafel, but most meals tasted quite strange to us European "mainstream" eaters. With mainstream I mean not used to "special" vegan food creations. I am vegan for three years and it was not quite my thing either.
Should have better visited a vegan burger shop or something similar with this group...

Vegan Oasis in Zagreb - Edit
Great ‘discovery’ in Zagreb thanks to Happy Cow. A cosy little retreat off of Andrije Medulice street. Careful you don’t miss it by mistaking it for the bar that fronts the street - look down the alley just before this. The menu is full on organic vegan from their farm in Zrno. It is full of original, tasty and nutritional choices - from hearty comfort food to elegant and creative dishes. Restoring for two weary vegetarian/vegan travelers who have enjoyed Croatia immensely but sometimes wonder how we managed to keep our plant-based diet on the rails with a national cuisine so dominated by meat and seafood. Step away from the tired tourist restaurants and support a great restaurant serving delicious real food. Okusno - Hvala Vam!
Read morePros: All vegan and organic, Creative and varied menu, Hearty plant-based comfort food
