Delicious!!! - Edit
I spent a week in Austin visiting 2 different restaurants per day and out of all of them this one won best tasting food for me. Others may have had a prettier location or been totally vegan but the vegan options at this place I found to be extensive enough and strictly for taste got my gold medal. Highly recommended.

One of the things I love about this place is that every other Sunday they have an “oil-free, vegan buffet“ with some of the most delicious food I’ve ever had in my life!
Read moreThe food is authentic, delicious, flavorful… Delectable! Cute family owned restaurant.
Four stars only because they aren’t 100% vegan

Very good sunday buffet - Edit
A simple but tasty and fresh Sunday buffet. Nothing is “out of the refrigerator” food. The vada sambar pakoda and chat are the highlight. Best of all - fresh hot food

Love. - Edit
My partner and I visited Zaika today to experience the "All Vegan" buffet spread. We arrived a bit later so there were a few items that were a bit colder than I desired. However, the flavor was delicious. Samosas were the best. I look forward to another event!

Zaika is always good. We have been coming to zaika for a couple years and it always is delicious. They aren’t offering the buffet anymore because of covid but the portions are very big and delicious.

Best and Freshest Indian Food Ever! - Edit
We went ovo at this restaurant because we couldn't pass up trying the kormas. We've eaten at many Indian restaurants over the years in Chicago, Sacramento, LA and San Diego. Never have we had fresher or more delicious ingredients than at Zaika. Everything was superb...from the various curries in the Thali to the Jalapeno Cheese Nan bread to the melt-in-your-mouth Samosas...the paneer kormas were also fabulous! I would have rated it 5 stars all the way, but this app won't allow due to this establishment not being all vegan. Places like this are why I can't go 100% vegan...it's just too darn yummy! It definitely will be one of our favorites next time we go to Austin.

A zesty zeugmatic approach to the buffet line and the oil-free vegan zeitgeist. - Edit
This establishment (which took over from the longstanding Madras Pavilion in the fall of 2018) occasionally hosts just such a Sunday evening event.
