Vegan bakery opened here Jan 2018. Offers freshly baked loaves, sweets, granola, and light food like toast with different toppings such as hummus, nut butter, bean-spread. Baked goods sell out early on the weekends, please visit early. Breakfasts are served until 2:30pm. Relocated from Barska 4. Open Mon-Fri 07:00-18:00, Sat-Sun 09:00-17:00.

I was impressed by how fresh and homemade everything was, and everything was to the best quality
This place also seems to be a popular spot as it was non stop busy when i was there

Beware of the opening time and the serving time! I was there at 7, but was told they did not serve before 8. I don't know why they do it like this.
Read moreThey hade some buns, so I ordered two and a coffee. It tasted very nice. At the end they had one more thing ready for the customers, so I took it to go. It was kind of like a shortbread with cream on top and blackberries. This was really good, it is on the picture

100% vegan bakery! - Edit
Modern fully vegan bakery with sweet and savoury bakes, I tried the bostock malina and rogalik z róza. Really enjoyed both these. Quite a walk from the Old Town but worth it to try some different options. Paid 20PLN for both items.

Read moreIt was fine although a bit too heavy/sugary/greasy for my liking, but that's just Polish food for you.
We also stopped by for a quick juice and found the staff super friendly, the premises very inviting, and juices delicious.
Pros: Nice premises, Sweet, savory and granola options for breakfast

It’s hard for me to give a 100% vegan place less than five stars, but in this case, I feel it’s warranted.

However, those who eat here on the weekends are crammed into a tiny space, with people lining up for bread bumping into their backs and heads. It’s super uncomfortable and I don’t remember ever seeing a cafe with such poor usage of space.
The prices for some things are ok, others, not. 35zl for a piece of bread with some almond cream cheese and potatoes is definitely not worth it.

The food is good too, it’s a bit posh but is lovely. Very affordable too.
There are lots and lots of nuts here, almost in every dish. Would be good if there were more baked goods like buns that do not contain almond butter but for the breakfasts the staff were very good at substituting nut products.

This place is the best. Everything I’ve had from there has been delicious - pastries, scones, bread. Last time I ordered a cottage cheese toast and it was excellent. Just go and try it - you won’t be disappointed.

Read moreThe first day, we tried a chocolate coffee bun (HEAVEN) and a almond ricotta focaccia that had a sourdough base, making it one of the more unique focaccias I've had - but it was still very good!
The second day, we got the sesame chocolate bun which had little sprinkles of halva on top, another focaccia, this one with roasted butternut squash, and a buckwheat porridge with tahini caramel (!) and caramelized banana with miso (!!). The bun was good although not as good as the one from the day before. The buckwheat porridge blew my mind a little, it was one of the most unique things I've ever tasted. Wow!
The bakery is warm, bustling, and filled with the smells of bread & baked goods. Warning: There's not a lot of seating. Really recommend this spot, and I would absolutely come back if I returned to Krakow.

The location is a bit of a random area, there's a lot of construction going on around it at the moment. It was also quite warm in the store, they didn't have any air-conditioning

an absolutely incredible spot - beautiful interior, lovely vibe and the food is to die for. myself and my partner shared a savoury dish and a sweet one - they were both insane. the flavours are so unique and fresh and the pastries look amazing too, definitely busy so come early!! shout out to the matcha latte which was smooth as anything. big time recommend.

Read moreMy partner got the mini pizza with olives which was yummy. I got the sweet bun with strawberry which was also yum! The miso and sesame bread was amazing! Lastly, the flat white was really strong and rounded.
The staff were great!

Zaczyn is just one of my favorite spots in Krakow. Wonderful bread and snacks and amazing, original! breakfast recipes, unexpected flavor combinations. This place is full every weekend so you just need to be patient with the free table, but it’s worth it!
