Thai chain!

They have a separate veggie menu and most things on it can be made to vegan requirements. I wouldn't go here over one of the other thai restaurants in the area but the food is decent and certainly plenty of choice.

Great vegan options

We loved the atmosphere of this place. There was a dedicated veggie menu and they explained that we needed to specify we were vegan when ordering. The server was really good in explaining which items had egg in and offered alternatives.

Some menu items had a chicken or prawn substitute and the food was great. Some wines and beers are labelled vegan as well.

Pros: Tastes of the food, Great ambience, Servers had a good understanding of what is vegan

Cons: If you want bao buns order before 6pm

And where there used to be some shops

I was absolutely desperate for a South East Asia food fix. The Tom Yum mushroom soup with VG shrimps main was like medicine from the Gods and the Gang Massaman curry with chikn oozed flavour, a chilli kick and a delicious creamy coconut hit. Before the soldiers came this was a Co-op.

Pros: Great interior , Vegan menu

You have to ask!

Separate veggie menu with loads to choose from.
Nothing is marked as vegan so you have to ask however, the member of staff taking my order assured me and the person serving it also specified vegan when putting it down.

Would recommend and happily go again.

Lots of vegan options

Separate, extensive vegetarian menu using tofu, plant-based chicken and plant-based prawns. The waitress said the only dish they can’t make vegan is the fried corn cakes. Egg noodle dishes can be swapped for vegan noodles, just ask. Very tasty food, the three red chilli warning is not to be taken lightly 😂🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️

Avoid!

Ordered vegan, was served chicken. Staff didn’t really understand the severity of this. Appalling!

Good food - just ask for vegan

Most of the food is labelled as vegetarian, but they have a range of plant based meat alternatives too which was great to see. Most of the veggie options can be made vegan just ask the server.

I had the veggie green Thai and my partner has the chilli garlic and basil stir fry with the meat free chicken. Both yummy, hot and came really quickly.

Downside for service - they presented me with the bill while I was eating because they wanted to close the till. And then came back a couple mins later, while I was literally mid spoonful of curry to collect payment. There was 7 of us eating so we hadn’t worked out each cut, but I think it’s bad service to present a card reader to someone who is in the middle of their meal.

Pros: Most veggie options can be made vegan.

Cons: Service

Great vegan options

Really nice meal here. We both had noodles and really enjoyed them. The sides don't all have vegan symbols so ask if you want things like gyoza. The wine is labelled vegan which is always a plus. Very good. Get down there.

Okay.

Big vegan menu. Food was ok. Tiny portion of tofu but I asked for more and they brought me an extra plate😄

Nice venue and friendly staff!

Staff knowledgable about vegan options

Had some basic Thai food here; really delicious, the unique atmosphere also adds to the charm of this place. Was very happen when staff were clearly very aware of vegan options and/or veganizing dishes.

Pros: vegan options, friendly, vegan-informed, staff, unique atmosphere

Cons: a lot of fish served (whole fish, with eyes & all)

To Thai For

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Zaap. Staff were welcoming and inside the decor makes you feel like you are actually on the bustling streets of Bangkok. We ordered the veganised versions of massaman curry and tofu crispy noodles. The curry was really creamy, flavoursome and nicely spiced, whilst the tofu crispy noodles were superb. The thick broth was simply majestic. Zaap has an open kitchen and staff are very vegan aware just make sure you state vegan when ordering. Our mains were both £8.95. They also have free water. Can't wait to visit again and work our way through the menu.

Pros: Great food, Nice vibe, Friendly staff

Cons: Serves meat
