Great place!

Went here a few years ago in a large group (approx 15 people), and the staff was still very friendly to us, which sometimes doesn't happen with a big group.

The food was exactly what I expected at a vegetarian Asian buffet, but it was really good.

I would definitely go back here. Everything I tried was delicious.

Pros: All-vegetarian, Friendly staff

Cons: None

All you can eat

This review is for people who come from a background of NOOOO vegan or vegetarian places to eat where they live.

Whenever I am in a 100km radius close to Wien i go there for lunch. The lunch buffet is awesome. Almost all food is vegan. All food is delicious. I regularly take non-veg friends with me and only get compliments and questions whether we will make it in time to have dinner at Schillingers, too. :D

Yes some food is greasy. But that is only "some", the choice is outstanding. It's dead center wien. Has free underground parking first hour, next hour is 1 euros each. Park there, go eat, pay extra 5 euros and you can roam around the city for the next 5 hours while your car is buried safely in teh underground.

but WAIT WAIT WAIT

I forgetz to mention the drinks list!! ZOMFG! both the alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are chinese specialties. the soft drinks are wonderful mixtures with aloe and mango etc, while my drinking buddies swear the creamy wines are second to none. So make sure to drink their specialty beverages instead of generic globalisation crap.

Oh and the garden is just wonderful too. Not big but lovely to sit outside during a hot summer day to eat and relax.

Pros: all you can eat for dirt cheap, wonderful drinks, great location and parking

Cons: some food is greasy, poor english speaking staff

I went there once in August 2009 and we ordered from the menu (no buffet for dinner?). Lots of mock meat dishes and plenty of pictures on the menu, to be honest though I didn't quite like the food, it was too meaty for my taste. My omnivore boyfriend loved his (vegan) mock-meat dish. I even asked the waitress if it _really_ was mock meat - apparently it's made from a mushroom base or something. I had a variety of "meats" in my dish (don't remember what exactly I had, sorry! Some kind of stew, I think) - "duck", "beef", "pork".

I want to go there again for lunch some time, I do think I'd find myself something yummy at the buffet.

Pros: mostly vegan, friendly staff, nice outdoor seating

Cons: no dinner buffet, mock meat too close to the real thing

very good faux meat

Fantastic! It has a great choice of (fried) vegan food. On the menù is written what is vegetarian (10%) and what is vegan (90%). Parking in the basement: tell them you've parked there, they will give you a discount card and pay directly at the restaurant.

Pros: good choice, value, friendly staff

Cons: fried

drummmmmmsticks

we usually sleep in the somewhat shabby but cheap hotel next to this place. can park the car in the garage and lunchbuffet is just out the door. i think i took on about 4 kilos in 4 days. we just don't have anything like that back home......but after 4 days i just wanted to eat salad for a week. the stuff really is good but lot of fried things....
drummmmmmsticks we love you....

Pros: cheap lunchbuffet

The dark lord Seitan is succeeding-

in his plan to make me eat myself to a type 2 diabetic early grave. We had enjoyed an evening meal at the other location and came here for the buffet, we enjoyed almost everything available and kept going back for more, it was very impressive, fantastic value and I recommend it to any reasonable people.
But don't try to fit everything on your first plateful!!!!!!!

Pros: Tasty, cheap, good service

very good selection

We went here a few times and always liked the dishes. The waitstaff is very friendly and they have a sweet little garden where you may eat outside. I have eaten in Vegetasia I and II and like the atmosphere here better.

Amazing!

This place was fantastic, and so friendly. Huge selection of different dishes (mock meat, noodles, rice, dumplings, etc) with an unbelievably underpriced 7 euros for all you can eat. They've got these nutty dumplings that are out of this world, and the waitress kept on trying to get me to eat more even when I was totally full! =) This location was much better than the other one, in my opinion. Nice garden setting and more selection at the buffet.

Pros: delicious, huge selection, totally cheap

Fantastic

I really enjoyed my lunch here. The price seems quite reasonable for an all-you-can-eat buffet in Vienna. The staff is lovely and understands what vegan means, and can point out what contains eggs, dairy, etc. The food itself was delicious. I tried a bit of everything, and the mock meats were good although too authentic for my taste.

Pros: tasty food, wonderful staff, good location for hostellers

went there about twenty times

when i go to vienna i go there. I think this is the best restaurant in town. But go there on midday when the buffet is open. You pay once 7 euros and you can eat as much as you want. It's so good!

Pros: all you can eat, in center

Not impressed

Maybe the lunch buffet is different, and maybe I would feel differently had I not come from a city with multiple vegetarian restaurants, but this was a negative experience. After being talked out of my choice, I was talked into a barely palatable and greasy dish. Yes, they brought the free plum wine, but that's the only positive. Overall, I would not recommend.

Pros: Close to hostel, Vegetarian

Cons: food, overpriced, waitstaff
