Ein veganes Restaurant auf Meisterklasse! Unglaublich leckere Vorspeise, ich hatte das Möhren-Tatar, danach die Teigtaschen und zum Schluss die Quitten. Alles zusammen war es perfekt. Reservierung am Wochenende ist zu empfehlen😄wenn ich wieder mal nach Mainz komme, werde ich dort wieder essen gehen!

Didn't love my food, still FIVE stars! - Edit
Imagine Willichs is due to close at 14,30, so you walk a long way to the place across the way, Kiwi Corner which is supposed to be open but just is not. Grrrrr. We walk over to Willichs and I say I know you are closed (it is just 14,30) but do you have anything left in the kitchen you could serve us to take away? She was so sweet and told us to have a seat. I ordered a grapefruit salad, husband got a pasta with creamy green/pesto sauce & mushrooms. Now mushrooms make me sick, so I learn the word for them in every language to avoid them. But my salad comes out covered in them. Turns out they used a very specific word for the oyster mushrooms and I was ordering in a hurry and didn't ask for a translation. So, she offers to take it back. I said, Look, you are so nice, just pull off the mushrooms and throw in something with some protein, nuts or whatever. She brought it back with some grilled eggplant which I don't really like either, but I smiled and took it. Totally on me, for sure, so I didn't really eat but my husband's dish was fabulous and the few bites of salad I had were good.

Das Willichs ist schön gelegen in der Mainzer Neustadt und bietet rein vegane Speisen und Gtränke an. Es ist wunderbar dass man hier so vielseitig und unbesorgt essen kann. Sogar meine Familie, die nicht vegan lebt, liebt es hier.
Read moreDie Gerichte sind eher fancy und das Willichs verfolgt einen high class Anspruch. Das merkt man vorallem beim Preis, aber auch bei den fein aufeinander abgestimmten Gerichten.
Ich war nun schon zwei mal dort und es ist wirklich sehr lecker.
Einziges Manko: Im Innenbereich ist die Akustik nicht optimal. Oft ist es sehr laut und anstrengend sich zu unterhalten. Vermutlich weil die Wände sehr hoch sind und es insgesamt nicht sehr groß ist und dennoch einige Sitzgelegenheiten geboten werden.

My expectations were very high for this restaurant and it was a bad experience in terms of taste. The service from the girls was very good and the fried mushrooms with green sauce starter was tasty, but the main dishes (photos below) were bad and we waited more than 1h. The “Triangolo” stuffed pasta had no flavor, the sauce was overly sweet and artificial flavor too. And the “Gebackener” that my husband ordered was really hard to eat, zero salt, no seasonings, zero flavor at all. I don't like to give bad feedback, but since it's an expensive restaurant, I thought it was fair.

Das Willichs Vegane Restaurant ist eine echte Bereicherung für die vegane Szene in Mainz. Für 49€/P haben wir ein sorgfältig zusammengestelltes Menü genossen, das mit zwei Vorspeisen, einer Hauptspeise und einem Dessert absolut überzeugt hat. Besonders der Kaiserschmarrn, den wir extra bestellt haben, war ein Highlight – besser geht's kaum!
Read moreAuch wenn der Wirsing mit Linsen nicht ganz meinen Geschmack getroffen hat, war die Qualität durchweg hervorragend, und meine Begleitung war begeistert. Die Portionen sind genau richtig – wer täglich Fettiges oder Riesenportionen gewohnt ist, sollte hier vielleicht umdenken.
Wer das Konzept eines tierleidfreien Restaurants nicht versteht oder Spundekäs vermisst, ist hier vielleicht fehl am Platz. Für alle anderen ist es ein echtes Muss!
