Once is not enough! You need to go several times - Edit
Veggie Choice: 6/5
Read moreThere are so many great reasons to go to this place: first, so much choice that one would need several visits to get through even just your top-choice dishes. Also, for several dishes you get the choice between Veggie Beef, Veggie Chicken or Tofu. It's like having the same length menu as an omnivore again! Second, the drinks selection is also very, very noteworthy: not only does it offer a great selection of fruit juices, non-alcoholic soft drinks, (soya-)milk shakes (in 4 flavours), vegan wines and beers (oh yes!), but also a nice selection of mocktails. Third, the service is friendly, neither too humble, nor too "in-your-face". The interior of the restaurant (ca. 20-25 tables) is neither pretend Vietnamese, nor Western/Skandi cool, but just a friendly mixture of both plus the functionality of a modern restaurant thrown in.
As a starter, we shared the rice pancakes filled with various vegetables, in a slightly spicy sauce. For our personal taste the texture was a bit slimy, but as these pancakes seem to be cooked, that's probably the way they have to be. They still tasted good. As mains we had Curry Saigon (with Veggie Chicken), which comes with a peanut /butternut squash base (or sweet potato) and a sauce with various vegetables in. The second main was a 'Bio-Gemüsepfanne' (stir-fried vegetables) with Veggie Beef - maybe made from seitan, although it was hard to be sure. All the vegetables tasted really crisp and yummy.
We were so full that we couldn't face desserts.
Other bits to note: come early in an evening, or book in advance, and remember that most Germans eat _earlier_ for dinner. We arrived at 18:30ish, and by 19:30 the restaurant was nearly full, with some reserved tables. Also, full marks for trying to be as sustainable as they can be. First, the milkshake was made with soya milk and a freshly peeled banana. Second, it came with grass/soft bamboo straw (sadly, it didn't work very well, but I could easily drink the shake without a straw).
Pros: With many main dishes you have choice of 3 "meats", Lots of vegan dishes, friendly service
Cons: very popular

Amazing pho and summer rolls. - Edit
We enjoyed the calm atmosphere in this restaurant. We were there quite early on a saturday night, around 5pm, and didnt have a reservation. The staff was friendly and when I asked if it was possible to have tofu with my pho instead of the veggie beef that was on the menu, it was no problem at all.
Read moreFood came rather quick but nothing seemed rushed, both the summer rolls and miso soup were great appetisers. Our mains, pho for me and build your own summer rolls for my partner, were very yummy. Large portions, you wont leave hungry!
Pros: So many options! , Will change ingredients upon request, The white wine was good😄
Cons: Cash payment only

Great to have so many vegan options to choose from. Try the vegan duck! They got my order wrong and the service isn’t great, but the food definitely gets 4 stars.

Would come for the DUCK - Edit
A few friends and I went there to eat. I got fried rice with vegetables and veggie-chicken but they first brought me the wrong food, which is not a big problem though.
Read moreMy food was good in general, but what was making me really jealous was my boyfriends meal: the duck.
I tried the veggie-duck and my other friends tried it from his plate, too, and everybody was sad not to have taken the veggie-duck (with rice) instead!
When I wanted to order another drink or when we wanted to pay, the waitress seemed to avoid us looking at her, which made us wait a bit longer.. but she might've been just a very shy person.
Pros: veggie-duck, big selection
Cons: waiting time

A well visited sit down vegan restaurant with a kid‘s dish (although I am sure older kids would be happy with what’s on offer) and fantastic cakes and deserts. I had the pad Thai, a piece of raw mango cake and a coffee and it was all fantastic. Service was very friendly, but when it is full it could take a little while.

Great summer rolls as an appetiser! As a main I had a Saigon curry which was a bit bland unfortunately. Would give them another try though as they have heaps of options...

Nice - Edit
Oh, those summer rolls!💗I always order them when I go there. Sometimes I just order that because they are that good.
Read moreIn this Well Being they have a special menu that you don't find in Well Being II.
I did have a little problem with them once tho. I asked for a dish to be made gluten free and when I got it the waiter said "it has only a little bit of soy sauce in it". Well, a little bit makes it already not gluten free. There is the option of calling in advance for that, but I don't know what the price difference would be if some of their dressings had tamari sauce instead of "a little soy sauce". I would be willing to pay 0.50 - 1 € more for that.
Another thing they should maybe do would be to specify where the allergens are, because doing it like this
"Dish name" with "ingredient A", "ingredient B", "ingredient C", "ingredient D" in a "sauce name" with "ingredient E".
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (allergens)
is not very clear.
Anyway, it still offers nice food =)

Average - Edit
We went here twice -different branches - on our visit to Cologne. First time we got summer rolls and spring rills- these were lovely and I had high hopes for dinner.
Read moreMy husband got fried rice it was good if it a bit stingy on the veggie meats
I got sweet and sour tofu- the tofu was sooo good however it was let.down by a really poor sauce which was a funny tomato sauce - not sweet and sour for sure
Service was slow, prices were high and we were just disappointed - we did give it a 2nd chance in the other branch but it wasn't much better.
Pros: Vegan
Cons: expensive , Poor quality

Good one - Edit
We went there during our stay in Koln for 5 times, since it was really close to our hotel.
Read moreFood is great and portions pretty big, not totally sure about price, not from Germany, but seemed to be okay to us, compared to other restaurants..
Staff is really friendly and nice, but once happened that we have to wait for every operation in process (menu, order, food, check) at least 20-30 minutes. Another time it looked that staff is not noticing us even there were only few more customers.
Pros: Great tasty food, Big portions, Prices
Cons: Waiting

Even my non-vegan family loves it - Edit
I go there occasionally with my parents who are always looking forward to the food at Well Being. It never disappoints. I personally wished the atmosphere was a little less "sober" (like so many vegan places lack coziness in my opinion) but the food definitely makes up for it!

First vegan restaurant in Cologne - Edit
I think this was the first all vegan restaurant opening in Cologne, and it is still one of the best. You get a wide range of vegan asian dishes, the stuff is friendly, the meals are tasty and portions are big. The new location is much bigger and getting a table without reservation much easier.
