Blown away!

What not to like about this place? The staff were friendly and helpful, there were plenty of unique options on the menu, and the atmosphere and location was cool.

Pros: Variety of options , Ambience, Service

Cons: Unnecessarily large portions, The platter needed some sauce

Excellent service

Lovely restaurant! I ordered the Denver Omelette and it arrived pretty quickly. However, it didn't have any seitan - which was the first ingredient in the list of toppings, so pretty noticeable. I asked the waiter about it and he immediately went to the kitchen to get me a portion of seitan on the side at no additional cost. It was pretty tasty and the omelette was also really good! Very creamy and cheesy. I was already quite full after the main dish (so much potato!) but couldn't leave without trying one of their beautiful desserts. I had the tres leches cupcakes, and oh my! What a treat! Moist, sweet, and just delicious. A great meal overall!

Get the Philly

Delicious lunch and lovely staff. Philly was smoky, filling, not greasy. Generous portions with the side salad. We will be back when we’re in town next!

My absolute favorite restaurant

After years of hearing recommendations to eat here, I finally did. Do not delay! You will not regret. Everything was absolutely delicious! I had no regrets over the bill, which regret over the bill is common these days. My table shared a special street corn risotto, seitan wings and cauliflower wings, house ranch, as well as a special butternut soup of the day.. and of course for dessert we shared a tres leches cupcake. Absolutely delicious. Every bite. The atmosphere was wonderful as well. We were sat next to the plant wall, which was beautiful! I can’t say enough about this place!

Set Course for Watercourse

Best vegan omelette I’ve ever had. Best ranch, vegan or not too.
The Southern Plate and Cuban are must tries as well.

Solid vegan spot

This place has an extensive brunch, lunch, and dinner menu that looks amazing. I ordered the turkey and Brie sandwich which was made of sliced seitan. It was tasty but also pretty greasy and the fries that came with it were meh.

A Denver institution with friendly service

We've been eating at Watercourse since the dawn of time (or at least since its original incarnation on 13th), through ups and downs and a couple of reinventions. At its highest points it has been a runaway favorite. For a few years during and after the pandemic-era challenges our experience was a bit mixed, but lately they seem to have hit their stride again.

Tips for healthy and happy dining at Watercourse: Many of their main dishes are rich/fried/oily/heavy, so when selecting from the side dish options to accompany your mains, we highly recommend picking the lighter and fresher options, like salad or spring greens, rather than going for the fried sides, which can cause cumulative overwhelm in the gut. The portions are generous enough that we often wind up taking something home, so consider bringing your own reusable take-out container.

We love the staff here. It's a colorful mix of friendly souls who take good care of their guests.

There's plenty of seating (including outdoor tables when the weather permits), but the place still tends to fill up during peak mealtimes, and sometimes there's a wait.

Finally, we appreciate that Watercourse supports charitable projects doing good work in the world (if they're still doing that).

Recommended. Enjoy!

First Timers

We walked over to sample the menu after being told by many friends how great the options were. As someone new to the dairy free life, everything on the menu was a safe food which made it a no brainer! Cauliflower wings, nachos, and chipotle butternut squash soup w/ a side of broccoli made for a delicious lunch on a dreary day.

Pros: cauliflower wings were large and well sauced , I can walk over from my apartment, super convenien

Cons: no delivery option available

Brunch!

Worth the stop when driving through Denver. Great coffee. Love the vibes inside. We had a bowl with local tofu and veggies, breakfast sandwich, and a biscuit and jam on the side. Plus carrot cake and tiramisu cupcakes for later.

Do you like salt?

I've eaten here several times over the last 6 years and often go for Tuesday night trivia.
I've tried most of the menu. I'd rate the food mediocre, with most dishes overly salted, and leaving me thinking I could do better. This hasn't changed much over the 6 years. The price is typical for a restaurant in the area, but there is better vegan food in Denver for cheaper.

Pros: Nice ambiance and comfortable seating, Wide food selection

Big portions are back!

I have been going to Watercourse Foods for over a decade. It's definitely a staple vegan restaurant for Cap Hill. I was disappointed for the past few years that the portions had gotten rather small, so I stopped going. I'm happy to say they have a new menu and the portions are back to being a good amount. I was so obsessed with the new Lions Mane chicken biscuit and I will be back for more.

Pros: All Vegan, Clean Environment , Upbeat Staff

Cons: No more espresso machine

Phenomenal

Absolutely phenomenal! We've eaten at vegan restaurants across the country and throughout Europe, and this restaurant is in our top 10. Definitely the best in Denver, hands down. Great atmosphere, customer service, and quality of food. Make sure this is your top must eat at restaurant when visiting Denver!

Pros: Quality of food , Customer service , Atmosphere

Vegan Home Cooking at it's best

My favorite restaurant in Denver is right here. Vegan Home Cooking at it's best. Conventionally located near Ogden Theatre as well as Twist and Shout Records. So if you want an awesome meal prior to seeing Nick Cave, Henry Rollins, or X than come here first before getting a cd and seeing a show.

Reservations are good to get in advance as sometimes is a line. Wraps, Salads, and Tofu scramble oh my!!

Pros: Vegan Home Cooking at it's best

Excellent!

I had the blackened tofu wrap and my friend, the Philly sandwich. Both were phenomenal. For dessert, we shared a chocolate shake and a pumpkin frosted cookie. This place is a ‘must-visit’ for any vegan visiting Denver and of course for Denver residents. I loved it! Oh and the service was great!

Good brunch!

I got the brunch plate and it was pretty good! The portion size was great and I had plenty of leftovers. The roasted potatoes were so good and their homemade chicken patty was also great. The scrambled tofu was okay, not super flavorful but better than most.
Really happy with the spread and it wasn’t overly expensive.
I also got the pumpkin chai latte and it was great.

Pros: Roasted potatoes , Good portions

Cons: Too salty

Damn…

Only had time for one meal in town and chose Watercourse. Had the Classic Philly and it was fantastic. Wish I lived nearby so I could try other foods on the menu that also looked incredible!

Excellent happy hour

Just happened to get here for happy hour and it was an essential surprise! Ordered the Cuban, wings and a cocktail all for a cheap price. Cuban was deliciously mustardy with great texture on the seitan. Will definitely go again.

Great spot to take non-vegans

Impeccable service, great drinks, and vibe. Most of the dishes are imitation meats and vegan takes on classic comfort food which really helps introduce people to veganism. I got the cauliflower wings and orange teriyaki, both were delicious.

Great baked goods and desserts, mains can be hit or miss

I like this place, great vibes, patio outside for when the weather is nice.

Overall the main dishes can be hit or miss, but the desserts are really good every time. There is a pretty large menu with lots to try, and I want to make it out for brunch at some point.

Favorite items:
Hot chicken sandwich
Pastrami sandwich
Turkey-lettuce-tomato sandwich (was a special one time)
All of their baked goods!

Things I didn’t care for:
Gyro
Mac and cheese
Blackened tofu cesar wrap

Zeker heen gaan

Heelijk vegan eten! Zoveel keuze!
We hadden de classic philly en de orange teriyaki bowl. Beide waren ze heerlijk!
Bonus voor dat de ober actief vroeg naar allergieën.
