All plant based - Edit
Good that it is all plant based, no worries. Food is less than spectacular, though.

Okay food, but overpriced - Edit
The food wasn’t bad but I wasn’t too impressed with portions and quality. Southern plate was okay taste-wise, nothing too special and I was still hungry after the meal. Risotto was okay too but pretty oily. There’s outdoor seating which is nice.

Awesome All Vegan Spot - Edit
Awesome stop with so many good options. They had several tempting sandwiches I wanted to try, but I eventually landed on the Turkey Brie sandwich with Fig Jam - which was excellent! The non-vegan in our group really enjoyed their Philly as well. 🙌🏻

Amazing - Edit
All the sushi I've seen for vegans was extremely boring and inauthentic. This place was a COMPLETE 180 to that. Deep, rich and varied flavors with a range of textures too, just amazing. A really treat honestly.

Yummmm - Edit
Second time here from out of state. Wanted to try a bunch of stuff, but decided on the turkey & brie sandwich. Glad I did! It was delicious, flavorful, and filling. Not something you can get everywhere. I chose a salad as my side and it was bigger than I expected. 😋 Also got a mango iced tea to drink, and they gave me a refill to go. 🙂!

Excellent service - Edit
Lovely restaurant! I ordered the Denver Omelette and it arrived pretty quickly. However, it didn't have any seitan - which was the first ingredient in the list of toppings, so pretty noticeable. I asked the waiter about it and he immediately went to the kitchen to get me a portion of seitan on the side at no additional cost. It was pretty tasty and the omelette was also really good! Very creamy and cheesy. I was already quite full after the main dish (so much potato!) but couldn't leave without trying one of their beautiful desserts. I had the tres leches cupcakes, and oh my! What a treat! Moist, sweet, and just delicious. A great meal overall!

Delicious lunch and lovely staff. Philly was smoky, filling, not greasy. Generous portions with the side salad. We will be back when we’re in town next!

My absolute favorite restaurant - Edit
After years of hearing recommendations to eat here, I finally did. Do not delay! You will not regret. Everything was absolutely delicious! I had no regrets over the bill, which regret over the bill is common these days. My table shared a special street corn risotto, seitan wings and cauliflower wings, house ranch, as well as a special butternut soup of the day.. and of course for dessert we shared a tres leches cupcake. Absolutely delicious. Every bite. The atmosphere was wonderful as well. We were sat next to the plant wall, which was beautiful! I can’t say enough about this place!

This place has an extensive brunch, lunch, and dinner menu that looks amazing. I ordered the turkey and Brie sandwich which was made of sliced seitan. It was tasty but also pretty greasy and the fries that came with it were meh.

A Denver institution with friendly service - Edit
We've been eating at Watercourse since the dawn of time (or at least since its original incarnation on 13th), through ups and downs and a couple of reinventions. At its highest points it has been a runaway favorite. For a few years during and after the pandemic-era challenges our experience was a bit mixed, but lately they seem to have hit their stride again.
Read moreTips for healthy and happy dining at Watercourse: Many of their main dishes are rich/fried/oily/heavy, so when selecting from the side dish options to accompany your mains, we highly recommend picking the lighter and fresher options, like salad or spring greens, rather than going for the fried sides, which can cause cumulative overwhelm in the gut. The portions are generous enough that we often wind up taking something home, so consider bringing your own reusable take-out container.
We love the staff here. It's a colorful mix of friendly souls who take good care of their guests.
There's plenty of seating (including outdoor tables when the weather permits), but the place still tends to fill up during peak mealtimes, and sometimes there's a wait.
Finally, we appreciate that Watercourse supports charitable projects doing good work in the world (if they're still doing that).
Recommended. Enjoy!

We walked over to sample the menu after being told by many friends how great the options were. As someone new to the dairy free life, everything on the menu was a safe food which made it a no brainer! Cauliflower wings, nachos, and chipotle butternut squash soup w/ a side of broccoli made for a delicious lunch on a dreary day.

Worth the stop when driving through Denver. Great coffee. Love the vibes inside. We had a bowl with local tofu and veggies, breakfast sandwich, and a biscuit and jam on the side. Plus carrot cake and tiramisu cupcakes for later.

Do you like salt? - Edit
I've eaten here several times over the last 6 years and often go for Tuesday night trivia.
Read moreI've tried most of the menu. I'd rate the food mediocre, with most dishes overly salted, and leaving me thinking I could do better. This hasn't changed much over the 6 years. The price is typical for a restaurant in the area, but there is better vegan food in Denver for cheaper.

Big portions are back! - Edit
I have been going to Watercourse Foods for over a decade. It's definitely a staple vegan restaurant for Cap Hill. I was disappointed for the past few years that the portions had gotten rather small, so I stopped going. I'm happy to say they have a new menu and the portions are back to being a good amount. I was so obsessed with the new Lions Mane chicken biscuit and I will be back for more.

Vegan Home Cooking at it's best - Edit
My favorite restaurant in Denver is right here. Vegan Home Cooking at it's best. Conventionally located near Ogden Theatre as well as Twist and Shout Records. So if you want an awesome meal prior to seeing Nick Cave, Henry Rollins, or X than come here first before getting a cd and seeing a show.
