Amazing pizza restaurant in Vancouver. The pizza was really good and the toppings were delicious. Service was super friendly and helpful. We tried one of the cocktails too which was great. Finally dessert - it was divine! We would go back just for that. Must try :)

A 100% vegan menu establishment with thin crust pizzas! What I appreciate about virtuous pie is that they use more “natural” ingredients for their pizzas. What I mean by this is that they aren’t trying too hard with artificial ingredients to get a non-vegan pizza taste. They rock with what’s already available and they do it well.

We started with a Caesar salad which was so creamy and flavorful, it comes with two big pieces of their amazing focaccia bread with butter garlic. Then we had a Little Italy and a Margherita pizza, both very delicious and generously served, I saved some pizza so I could have a scoop of their wonderful maple butter pecan ice cream… OMG it was heavenly! One of the best ice creams you will ever have, not too sweet and with the perfect balance of flavors! This place is a must. Shout out to Karla and the rest of the crew who give outstanding service!

Amazing pizza!!! - Edit

This quaint restaurant has not only delicious food but also very friendly and helpful service! Our group enjoyed the garlic knots and an arugula salad to start. The salad was perfect and so flavorful! We tried 4 different pizzas and they were all amazing!! The hot honey that came on one of the pizzas is made out of apples and not from the bees!

Best of all - the couple we were with are not vegan and loved the food!!!

Amazing desserts - Edit

After a recommendation from MILA nearby, we went to try the peach basil ice cream but treated ourselves to the full dessert offering, including a cookie ice cream sandwich with vanilla ice cream, lemon cannoli and ice cream flight with peach basil, vanilla and strawberry lemonade. Each dessert was very special! The cookies were freshly baked and delicious! There were only a few ice creams in stock, but the flavours we tried were some of the best we've ever had! And for what we paid, we felt the desserts were impressive sizes - especially the flight of ice cream with large scoops of each!

Delicious Pizza & Great Service! - Edit

My husband and I visited Virtuous Pie before a concert and were delighted with their pizzas on the summer menu. He had the hawaiian and I had the street corn pizza and a couple beer each. Both were delicious but the street corn was the favourite of the two. We found the hawaiian very sweet but still tasty. I also like how they offer sparkling water and not just flat water to drink. Our server was super friendly and attentive. We found that it was pretty good value for the amount of food we got. Would definitely return.

The chicken Alfredo was one of the best vegan pasta and cheese dishes I've ever eaten. I didn't try much else, but I still recommend it just for that!

...maple walnut ice cream too! Attentive service, cozy atmosphere and more delicious options than a vegan can shake a stick at. The Caesar salad was hands-down a favorite at our table. I wish they sold their dressing in a bottle...I'd be stocking up!

Excellent pizza and Caesar salad - Edit

Delicious pizza and salad. We split one pizza and the Caesar salad with focaccia bread. They bake the focaccia bread there, and it's excellent. We filled up and took 2 slices home with us. The server was knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant was clean and inviting.

The food here is awesome - Edit

Tons of GF options here, from salad to dessert. So delicious. I removed one star because I passed 4 groups of people smoking crack on my walk here from the convention center and have seen 4 cop cars and an ambulance pass by in the time I have been sitting here. As a single woman it feels unsafe in this neighborhood.

I've tried a lot of vegan pizzas and this is my favorite! Great crust and pepperoni. The Caesars salad was excellent too. Highly recommend. I'll definitely be back while I'm in town.

the pizza is so delicious, and the ice cream was also FANTASTIC. we got the strawberry shortcake as well and that was so good. brought some pints of ice cream home for my non-vegan family and they were blown away

Great pizza and kid friendly - Edit

Had 2 types of pizza and 2 types of pasta. Enjoyed it all but def the pizza is their specialty. They also have really good dessert (had a vegan cannoli for the first time)!

Honestly, looking at the previous photos, I wasn't sure this pizza would be as good as what people said, but it's very good! The crust may not be delicate, but it doesn’t need to be. The flavors are strong and even creative. Definitely recommended!

Great vegan pizza - Edit

Fully vegan restaurant with tasty food. We had the pepperoni pizza, the mac & cheese pasta and some garlic focaccia. It was my first time ever trying mac & cheese and while I liked it, the smoky bacon taste was a bit too strong for me. The pizza was perfect, though. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Best vegan pizza - Edit

Everything we got was amazing. We got garlic knots, pasta, pizza and ice-cream. It was the best vegan pizza we have had yet. It is always nice going to a vegan restaurant and not worrying about double checking the ingredients list. I would definitely go there more often if we lived close enough to.

The pizza is weak - Edit

I’m no stranger to vegan pizza. For reference my favourites include Apiecalypse Now! (RIP) Toronto and Pi in Seattle. The pizza they serve at Virtuous Pie does not stand up. I think it would be more accurate to call it a flatbread. Or to put it another way, if you like your pizza light on the crust, light on the sauce, light on the cheese, and light on the toppings you’ll love this place. Seriously, the cheese they use has some magical property that means it totally vanished in the oven.
I would not recommend this place to a vegan, and I wouldn’t recommend you bring omnivores here as it will give them more reason to think that vegan food sucks.

The crust, mmmmhhhh - Edit

Probably the best gluten-free (celiac-friendly), vegan pizzas there are. I miss the UBC location but still occasionally take the trip halfway across the city to enjoy their pizza. The gluten-free dough is better than any regular gluten pizza I’ve ever had.

Best ice cream in the city! - Edit

The service was exceptional—everyone was friendly and accommodating, offering to bring me water and even delivering all the food to the table, despite it being counter service. The pizza was incredibly flavorful, and the vegan ice cream is hands down the best I've had in the city. The cookies and cream flavor is loaded with cookie chunks, and its creamy consistency is perfect. Unlike many vegan ice creams that have a coconut flavor, this one doesn’t have that at all. I’m not sure if it’s made with cashew milk, but what I do know is that it’s absolutely delicious. I can't wait to return!
