Serves meat, vegan options available. On the Tallinn Viking Ferry line the food service offers one vegan burger with rye bread, wasabi relish, seaweed, tomato, lettuce with root veg crisps.
I traveled from Helsinki to Stockholm by Viking Cinderella. I didn’t try the restaurants or the buffet but had a buffet breakfast in the morning. They had surprisingly nice selection of vegan options like vegan cheese, oat yogurt, oat milk, white beans and vegan “herring”. Unfortunately any of the desserts were not vegan. Only some fruits.
Everything was well labeled so it was easy to find out which ones were vegan.
I took this ferry from Helsinki to Tallin 1.5 months ago with my friend and we were absolutely blown away, it was like a cruise ship with so much shopping available onboard along with cozy areas to relax. They sold some hot and cold vegan food, but there were not a lot at the time of my journey. Everything I had was on-par with what you’d expect for a ferry. I’d suggest bringing some back up snacks just in case. 😉
I was travelling Helsinki to Stockholm on Cinderella ship. There were a few restaurants and most had vegan options (all except Seaview and Bottega).
The buffet options didn’t seem particularly substantial for a full buffet style meal (included some canapé style things like vegan caviar, vegan coleslaw, salad bits) and the main was a sort of beet stew and another option, no plant based protein in sight. Didn’t seem worth €47! Unless you’re planning to drink lots of alcohol (included). At least you can book a table here, which isn’t possible in other places.
The melody cafe and bar had a vegan falafel dish which seemed the cheapest option around €16.
I ended up at Ocean Grill and they had a vegan portobello burger which was pretty tasty. The vegan goats cheese they use was a new experience for me and went really well! Think I picked the best option here. Ocean View does not take bookings so recommend going later when the queue has died down.
