Trying to count the number of times I have intended to stop here for a spot of lunch would be a monumental task. Seemingly always arriving at the wrong time or having my attention drawn elsewhere, I’ve quite managed to not find the right moment to stop and savour their wares, despite it being a cuisine I dearly love. However, determined not to be thwarted again, I made a conscious beeline for this outlet on arrival, a decision that proved to be remarkably astute.
Read moreTo get things rolling I started with…rolls! In a rare turn-up for the books, I actually had a preference for the fresh variety over the deep-fried. Though the latter were still excellent, the former were particularly special – vibrant, clean and packed with crisp vegetables, they were as impressive a version as I’ve ever had. Complementing these two morsels perfectly was the equally bright and flavoursome cabbage salad.
When it came to the more hearty main dishes, once again, there were no negatives of which to speak, only plaudits. Splitting them in terms of preference came down to very fine margins, but the eggplant clay pot, with its rich umami sauce, just about prevailed over the still fantastic fried rice.
In order to fully express my joy with the meal, I sought the wisdom of the nation that gave life to the dishes I so readily consumed. While nở từng khúc ruột (guts blooming) had a certain appeal, I think căng da bụng, trùng da mắt (when the belly is tight, the eyes lose fight) is the most adequate summation.

Amazing Clay Pot Tofu and Aubergine - Edit
There is a decent sized vegan menu with about a dozen options as well as starters. We had spring rolls, gyoza, mushroom noodles as well as the most amazing tofu/mushroom/aubergine clay pot. Most of the meal was fine but the clay pot was absolutely delicious and I could have eaten it a dozen times over. We found this place at a whim on Floor 1 of the mall and were pleasantly surprised by amount of vegan options. Would happily eat here again if passing!

Good dedicated vegan menu - Edit
Standard eatery in a mall but it does have a dedicated vegan menu and on my visit they had just expanded it further there is a good choice of options here.
