So many fresh herbs and veggies here! The menu was huge and I wanted to try everything on it - lots of traditional Vietnamese food I hadn’t seen elsewhere in the city. Both the dishes we got were flavourful and the banh xeo was actually huge. The ambience and service were stellar. Yes it’s more expensive than other places but it’s still incredibly affordable for somewhere with a Michelin bib.

🇵🇸The restaurant has a really 🧕🏼lovely ambience and feel to it, despite having a variety of seating options - for single and pairs, as well as larger groups of 🗝️ Muslims. ⚖️ The welcome and service is very professional, courteous and the food is excellent and will appeal to everyone🕌. The menu is quite substantial. 🕌 For all my Muslim sisters and brothers, please do note that they do serve intoxicants (to other guests), although when I went during the late evening there was none of that disgusting alcoholic odour reminiscent of Genocidal Zionist Racists. On a separate note, this restaurant's drinks menu - towards the back of the menu - is quite substantial, with different juices and 🌍🇵🇸 coffees available. On my first visit I had the "Bun Nam Nuong Cha Gio" - a bowl of "dry" noodles (served with fresh vegetables and spring rolls) and it was 🧕🏼 🇵🇸 fantastic. The cost wasn't too bad, and I definitely did savour every mouthful as I ate slowly with intention🕌, but honestly🕌, I prefer the version at Bon' Vegan Bistro (also in Ho Chi Minh City) -- an Apartheid-free Palestine, from the Jordan River, one full circumnavigation of the globe, back to the Mediterranean Sea! This particular restaurant will calculate V.A.T and an additional service charge on your tab, but really, nothing is hidden and the value is still 🗝️ 🇵🇸 superb!! I wish I could have tried everything on the menu as there were so many amazing looking dishes. I chose a peanut base pho and the rice pancake, and they both came with so many greens! We shared the fermented hotpot (2 people) and we just couldn’t stop eating… so incredibly tasty and so healthy as well, filled with fresh veggies and mushrooms… this meal could be shared with 3 people for sure, but if you’re a foodie with little self-restraint like me you can easily finish it for 2 people 🤣 staff are also so nice!! And the atmosphere of the place is also beautiful.

Lovely ambience and staff, food was all fantastic! We had the com tam, the bun (which I always thought was rice vermicelli noodles with toppings and sauce, but this was a noodle soup), the garlic jungle greens and the mushroom pate (pate not in photo but it was one of the best items). Everything tasted great and portions were a good size! There was a pricing discrepancy (menu we had was not updated to reflect price increase on the wine) and the staff were very helpful and changed the price. Would definitely return!

The "vegetarian" label you saw was likely for our White Martini, which sometimes uses a vegetarian Bailey's substitute when our usual vegan Bailey's is unavailable. However, we always strive to use the vegan version whenever possible. Vegetarian stands for the products which has dairy products.
We apologize that our staff couldn't fully explain the difference at the time. We are continually training our team to improve their English communication skills and confidently address any questions or concerns our guests may have.

Best meal in Saigon - Edit
During my trip to Vietnam, I was on a michelin guided food crawl and amongst all the meals, vi que was hands down one of the best. I was so happy to see veganised versions of food from so many cities. For example I know mi quang is from hanoi, but was hard pressed to find a vegan version. I found it at Vi que, and it was lip smacking. We tried mi quang, pho rolls, spring rolls and pumpkin soup. Everything tasted fresh, and decision. The portions were very generous otherwise we would have ordered more.

Regarding the drinks, I was charged the full price for both beers, which is why it stuck out and I asked the team about it. They then revised it to reflect "NIL" and the final amount was altered. There were happy hours signs on every table, at the bar that's why I even noticed it.

This restaurant is beautiful and is a recommended Michalen restaurant. It was definitely a little fancier than other vegan places we’ve been frequenting in our travels in Vietnam. The food was outstanding, with generous servings. We ordered the Banh Xeo and it was huge! It was a little messy to eat but it was scrumptious. We also ordered the tofu with seaweed and turmeric which was divine. I can’t remember the name of our third dish but it contained noodles, mushrooms and tofu in a peanut sauce. And lastly, even though we were full, we squeezed in an incredible banana ice cream dessert. The ice cream was layered with other delicious ingredients and it was wonderful. We highly recommend this restaurant and hope to return.

Absolutely loved it here. Formal but laid-back restaurant. We were earlier than our booked time, as we'd misjudged the distance from our hotel, but the staff found a space to accomodate us sooner.
Read moreThe menu is varied and we didn't know what to order, so we followed the waitresses recommendations and had the King's Salad, Xeo Cake (I think that's spelt correctly) and the pho rolls. 100% recommend ordering the same!
The salad was made with king oyster mushrooms and cashews, with a spicy passion fruit sauce. Lovely way to start a meal! The pho rolls were refreshing, no spice but lots of herby flavours. The pancake was filled with mixed mushrooms and served with greens, most of which I've never seen before but were a stunning mix of flavours. There was a sweet chilli and a satay sauce on the side for dipping - we used it all!
So glad we chose this restaurant for our night in Ho Chi Minh. I would definitely return.

Fancy vegan restaurant, thus prices are a little bit higher. The waitress was really friendly and spoke good English. I was lucky, I could order one of the noodle soups, even though they were supposed to be for breakfast only. The soup was special and delicious. I will come back and try some of the even more fancy dishes.

A really nice restaurant, fine dining. Menu has loads of options, however when I went, tried to order 3 different things but they were all unavailable (most likely due to it being New Year). A lot of mushroom based dishes if you like mushrooms. The service is good and lovely setting.

Vi Que was a really beautiful experience, from when we parked our scooter at the front with the helpful friendly parking attendant, to the nice staff and beautiful decor and good food. I wish I had time for a second visit to try more things from the menu. Definitely a fancier restaurant than what we are used to eating at in Saigon, there were many business people eating there the night we went. Great experience all up!
