Great Vegan Dosas! - Edit
This is more like a fast food/take out place. The food was clearly labeled with a ton of vegan options. I got a masala dosa and it was delicious and large with great sides. I took half home.
Read morePros: Many options , Fast , A lot of food, cheap
Cons: Not a great atmosphere- more like fast food

Yeah! - Edit
I had the masala dosa. As an Indian myself who has had many dosas, I can confirm this was pretty decent. Seating feels kind of limited though and I felt like I sat in the worst corner of the restaurant. But I appreciate the plethora of vegan options.
Read moreIt's interesting to note that they have all kinds of vegan propaganda around— magazines about veganism and such— and that their menu is predominantly vegan, except for a few items like lassi and such which are made with dairy. Reminds me of my parents who say "we're basically vegan but just have milk with our tea". Bruh?!

Great Dosas in Small Dining Space - Edit
Great spot for South Indian cuisine. I would stay away from their North Indian options and stick to the dosas for the most authentic experience, although everything tastes good. Large serving sizes!

Favorite Indian Food!! - Edit
This place always impresses me. Every thing I’ve gotten from here is super good. I even chose to have my anniversary date night meal as takeout from here that’s how much I love their food. Cannot go wrong with this place it’s my favorite indian food i’ve had hands down

Disappointing. - Edit
They served food in styrofoam plates and water in plastic cups. The gobi manchurian has small shreds of cauliflower instead of big florets, and it was drowning in oil. The wada was oily but decent. The idli, chutneys, and sambar were good. But again, food and whole experience was degraded by the environmentally unfriendly disposable plates, cups, and cutlery.
Read morePros: Lots of vegan options, Some food was good, Vegan dessert option
Cons: Plastic cups and cutlery, foam plates, Gobi manchurian was terrible, No vegan lassi or dahi puri. Nothing innovative.

Can’t believe I’ve been to DC so many times and haven’t tried this place. Delicious tasting dosas with tasty sauce (beware the light colored was packs heat). I ordered the masala dosa and it was perfect!

Delicious dosas! - Edit
A little hole-in-the-wall restaurant with very friendly staff, delicious dosas, samosas, and spinach chaat, and very generous portions! Their spicy coconut curry dosa is fire and their Gobi Manchurian cauliflower is also very spicy and so flavorful - it's almost a little too much (I like to share). I love that all their sauces are vegan too! A favorite for Indian food in the area.

Authentic and incredibly tasty Indian food - Edit
Fluffy Chapatis, perfectly mashed spinach in the gravies and in the spinach rice, and vegan naan. The chef came out to personally speak with us, to understood our requirements to make food vegan, and was able to substitute sides on request. Everyone was extremely friendly.

The Gobi dosa and Chilli Paneer are great. The Mysore Masala Dosa seemed to have a little more asafoetida than required.

So delicious - Edit
Ordered via grubhub and it did not disappoint. The dosa is fantastic and comes with dipping sauces. Had a black lentil curry which was really flavoursome as well as a chickpea and potato one which was delicious. There's so much choice here that it was hard to pick - I can't wait to order from here again!

Great food and service - Edit
We ordered hummus & pita, black lentils, garbanzo beans, eggplant, green savory dosa, and chapati bread. The hummus, black lentils, and dosa were my favorites but it was all delicious. We ordered for carry out and forgot to check our order before leaving. The cashier realized we forgot something and sprinted down the street and around to corner to catch up to us and give it to us- excellent customer service!

Great cheap Indian food - Edit
Don't walk by this little basement hole in the wall. The food is amazing, authentic, and reasonably priced. They menu very sweetly attempts to use English, for instance the masala dosa is called "Indian crepes". The vast majority of dishes are vegan with a few vegetarian options like saag paneer (spinach & cheese) thrown in.

Very veg - Edit
Indian food is good, but it's better when you know you can eat it. This place is very friendly to your vegan needs, as it is a vegetarian place.
Read moreThe things to order here though, in my opinion, are the dosas, aka "Indian crepes" on the menu. I am not sure why they don't just say dosas, maybe to be more hipster or trendy for Adams Morgan? Who knows. All I know is they are good, really good. Rice flour thin pancake like savory goodness with soup/ sambar and chutney (coconut) - heavenly! Go for the green one, as it gives you a different twist on traditional onion, plain or potato dosas.
They have green veggies here too, like palak and broccoli. There are also your traditional takes on lentils (yellow and black) and biryani. The prices are decent and portions are good. It's not an excessive amount of food, but just right. The prices are decent, too, so you won't feel like you're broke for take out or eating in at this casual place.
They label what is vegan and can easily accommodate your other needs, like gluten free diets. Love this place!
Pros: Dosas without gluten, Vegan friendly
