Good vegan "junk" food

This was place was so good we went twice during our stay in Hong Kong. It was great that the whole menu was vegan, and so much choice. My favourite meal was the China Town Burger, so yummu. The decor inside was amazing, and it had a great atmosphere!

Pros: All vegan menu

Great and fun

I loved the variety of things on offer here. As a vegetarian, I don’t often get to eat chicken nuggets. I know it’s silly, but it’s a fun treat. It is a little pricey, about 500-600 HK for two people, but well worth it. Will definitely go back.

Pros: variety, atmosphere , location

Cons: price

unusual setting in Hong Kong

Excellent service, we had the Kobe burger and it came with a good portion of roasted potatoes. The buffer was excellent. My wife had a cold noodle dish and enjoyed it. The decorations from San Francisco created a really nice setting

Way cool place!

Full of weird decor all over the walls, floor, ceiling, and tables. Super friendly staff. They were out of the item I ordered, and surprised me by giving me a free soup (which was really good). I ordered the "Drama Queen" burger (with added avocado) and a vegan soy shake. Both were excellent, but the burger was perhaps the best I've ever had (for real).

Pros: Way cool decor, Friendly , Great vegan food

Cons: Expensive

Back to the 50'

Loved my experience Here: the burger, the desserts, the milkshake, the ice-cream. The vintage atmosphere is what makes it special and worth a visit. Must try!

Burgersssss

Went here for my friend's birthday. Came here before it turned into full vegan menu but the experience was not very pleasant but the new experience pleased me. We ordered fish burger and Korean styled burger both added either avocado or cheese. Both burgers were very nice probably two of the most tasty I ever have had but it's really pricey. Over $400 for lunch for two persons even though it came with drinks. I don't know maybe I am tight on budget but definitely would come back only on special occasions

Pros: Yummy burgers , Nice decoration , Centrally located in central

Cons: Pricey

I went there looking for a sweet treat and I ordered the warm chocolate molden cake. It takes 15min to make (they warned me) and the portion seems small, but actually it s the perfect size !
Will go again ! (They serve it with coco chantilly❤)

Fab Place

The food is fantastic and the portions are pretty good even though the prices are quite steep. Great burgers. The decor is very nicely designed with the whole American retro theme going on. Popular place so you might want to book as it isn't huge. A little hard to find. Make sure you find the right building that is 11 Stanley Street and go up to the tenth floor.

Nice but a bit pricey

I had the beetroot burger but I believe the patty could have been more flavourful.. and also it would have been better if there was more "mayo" on the bread or patty instead of all over the tomatoes.. but I liked the fact that the patty wasnt greasy/ oily.. so it makes you feel less guilty about gorging on burger and fries!

The punpkin and potato fries were excellent.

It was HK$ 185 for the burger, fries, soup and drink; all part of the lunch set.

Pros: Vegan restaurant, nice vibe, friendly staff

Cons: A bit expensive....

An extraordinary experience

This California-themed restaurant in the 10th floor of a commercial buildung vis-à-vis Holly Brown Coffee on Stanley St.
Firstly, the decoration is the killer! They really applied a lot of effort to make this place how it is. It is a lovely idea and works out very well! I loved all the sarcastic comments mounted everywhere!
Secondly, the food is fantastic. Delicious meals, very nicely arranged, that taste amazing, overall real treats!
Thirdly, the staff is very attentive, helpfull and lovely.
However, everything is at a dear price. There's no denying it.
Also, better make sure to reserve a table. I was there three or four times and got lucky, but I had to rush two times as the table was booked for later.
Beyond that, the portions can be rather small, especially the pasta dishes. The opening times aren't great. The WiFi connection is good.
Resumed, an awesome experience to eat there. Not only great decor but also high-end dining. Actually, I would recommend anyone going to Hong Kong Veggie SF as a must-go.

Pros: amazing decor, very tasty food, awesome staff

Cons: pricey, dissatisfying opening times, portions could be a tad bigger

Great atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and they all seem to speak great English. The food was ok. I go ordered the "I am fabulous" burger. I don't necessary recommend it. I would come back and try something else for sure.

Pros: vegan

Cons: it's kinda hidden. it's on a 10th floor of a rando

A MAZING

First of all, the atmosphere at this location is just really beautiful. You feel like being in a very cosy diner that's been set up with great attention to detail.
And the food!! The best dinner I had for a long time, also the banana cashew cake with ice cream was just delicious. The manageress Bess is SO lovely, she even gave me a list of things to do in HK and restaurants to try! Thank you so much Veggie SF, I'll definitely come back :)

Great food, adorable set-up!

This is one of my favourite vegan restaurants HK! They've recently switched to all-vegan, which is fantastic.

The decor is super unique -- 1950s themed with music and merchandize to match. The menu is extensive. I've tried a veggie burger, noodle dish, and "Trip to Bali" meal here -- all delicious! The staff are also super-friendly! I had a talk with one of the management staff about the lack of vegan restaurants in HK my first time there. Since the food was so great, I came back the following night with a friend and she remembered me, and also brought us a free appetizer of duck wraps to our table to say thanks for coming back. Great customer service!

They seem to care about the social/environmental aspects about being vegan -- you can visit the corner on the way to the bathroom and see all the leaflets and posters they have up about animal cruelty. It's great to see a business that actually cares, and isn't simply vegan for the sake of profit or being "trendy". Well done! This is a great spot to bring non-veg/vegan friends since the food delicious and the portions are large.

The milkshakes are good, but on the menu it doesn't specify that they are made from bananas (I thought they were soy shakes!) If you don't like bananas, don't order a shake!

Pros: friendly staff, large and delicious food portions, adorable decor

Cons: short opening hours, reservation needed even on weeknights, menu does not list all ingredients

Extremely delicious

I'm very much into burgers so this place is perfect for me. I ordered the Fisherman's Wharf burger with vegan fillet and potato/sweet potato fries, and it was really good. The Thai-style soy milk tea was also nice. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in HK!

Pros: delicious food , friendly staff, huge menu

Cons: too crowded

Top 5 Restaurants for Eating Vegan/Gluten-Free in Hong Kong

OK, this one might not be as healthy as the other ones I mention but I have to put them on the list because their vegan burger is so so good they are the best I've ever had in my life!

This place, like its name, is decorated in a 50s, 60s vibe from San Francisco, California and they even have a California state flag flying right at the restaurant (I immediately recognized that, once a Cali always a Cali LOL)! They also have various old-fashioned decoration items that take you right back in time. Even the menu is in a retro-style! It's basically your typical American diner food place, VEGAN edition. :P

So the most important food here- the burgers. I've tried different kinds but the best ones in my opinions are the ones with the patty made from beetroot and lentils. The sweet taste from the beetroot is such an outstanding flavor that adds to the entire flavor of the burger. The cheese in the burger is also vegan so the entire taste is very light. Unfortunately the buns are just regular ones made from flours so if you are gluten-free you might want to order something else.

With that being said, there's still plenty of options to choose from on the menu. The nuggets made from soy is so so so good and very addicting too. Even though you know they are fried and might not be as good for you but at least I just couldn't help getting it every time I visit! There's also a Southeast Asia dish with Indonesian influence, a rice dish, that seems extremely popular among other customers there so it should be pretty good.

I'm quite a salad-addict but this place might not be a good place for salad if you need a good salad-fix. The base is the regular lettuce and no superfood or anything added. Plus the price seems a bit unreasonable for what you get both in the quality and the portion of the salad. In terms of other mains there's plenty to choose from, with sushi rolls, Vietnamese noodles, pastas and Mexican dishes to offer.

One thing to complain other than the high price ($148HKD for the burger alone), is that they only take cash and they close as early as 9pm so you can't do a late night burger run in here...

I would say this place is a perfect spot to introduce your non-vegan friends and those who are new to the idea of eating healthy since they can satisfy all their fast food cravings here in vegan version without losing any of the yumminess.

Veggie SF, Hong Kong

Armed with the info they have converted to being all vegan I rocked along here today. Today was the 1st I've eaten here for around 2 years. It was thoroughly enjoyable.

Sharing with she-who-I-must-obey meant I got to sample soup, burger with salad and chips, and an all day breakfast. This was the best cooked brekkie I've had since moving to HK 2+ years ago. All of the food was great.

Its minimum 150 hkd spend per person. Cash only.

loved the place

I was hoping to avoid non-Asian vegetarian places, but the rain and an error in the address of a different restaurant made us walk into Veggie SF. The atmosphere is cute. There were 35 people sitting in a relatively small room, giving some extra coziness.
Food was very tasty.
The only complaint we have was the listing of one of the beverages - the kombucha turned out to be the Yogi Tea Kombucha (whatever they mean by eat) and not the fermented drink. We pointed it to the stuff. Not sure if they will change it to a better description.
I would recommend the pasta with the truffles.

Pros: location, coziness

Cons: the non-kombucha

Great place with cool atmosphere

The place can be really busy so better to not go in rush hour or too reserve in advance if that´s possible.
I had a huge burger with fries and for desert a great smoothie. The place is decorated with retro stuff in americana/San Fransisco style.

Well worth the tripp!

Pros: The burgers, Cool decor, Great variety

Cons: Crowdy, Hard to find
