Nice cozy place - Edit
The food is really good, I think they have the same menu as the one on Gran Via. We ordered the menu of the day where we choose samosa, breaded tofu with rice and the apple crumble as dessert and the seitan burger which was very delicious.
Read moreThe waiters were really nice, the place is clean. The place started to get crowded around 2, when people have lunch, so plan accordingly.
Really recommend for people looking for healthier food.
Pros: Good food, Nice waiters, Cozy place
Cons: Sometimes the sauces are weird, Too much curry sometimes

Delicious, affordable food - Edit
Veggie Garden has a great deal for their menu of the day. I had the tapas appetizer, Thali platter, a chocolate mousse and a drink all for about 11 Euros. The food is very fresh tasting, plentiful and nicely presented. While the restaurant isn't fancy, the service is good and I'd definitely go back again.

Original taste - Edit
So nice variety of food that it was hard to choose. I decided for the Luxury Nepales set menu and didn’t regret it. The taste is really great. 2 curries, dhal, hummus, rice, papadum, chutney,... everything including!! For less than 10€. I’ll come back

A big NOPE - Edit
There are two Veggie Garden restaurants here in Barcelona and even though I was aware of the bad reviews I accidently went to this one after my internet went down. I do not want to be too harsh but except them being all vegan and having an interesting menu there isn’t another positive thing I can say. I had a salad and a burger, the salad was boring, the hummus was tasteless, I have never eaten that disgusting seitan in my life and the burger bun was like a very dry sponge. My boyfriend had menu of the day and judged it be eatable, despite the daal being way too salty. To sum it up, do not eat here and especially do not bring any non-vegan friends, if you don´t plan on implanting never irreversible prejudice against vegan food in their head.

Terrible food - don't go - Edit
We had the satay tofu, edamame, potatoes and dumplings and everything was simply quite disgusting (i.e. Not fresh and cooked badly). We eat much better at home.

I've been there a few times, and the food is good, and at a reasonable price. However, they should work a bit more on their service.

Not great - 2.5 stars - Edit
Veggie Garden is right round the corner from the Contemporary Art Museum which we had just visited so that was handy. There was nice artwork on the walls and the atmosphere was nice. The waiter we had did not seem very friendly however (not just a language barrier, body language etc). There was no air con inside so it did get hot. I got a Thali curry and my mother got a goulash. The thali came with 3 curry things, 2 of which were lovely but not spicy and the other just didn't taste good. The rice was fine of course but the bhaji and chutney were barely edible. The goulash was tasty but was lacking peppers and would have been good with some vegan yogurt on the side. The potato it came with tasted more like a dumpling and wasn't great. I then got a chocolate mousse for dessert which was horrible, it was very liquid-y and tasted more fruity than chcolately. All that plus 2 beers and a water was only 22 euro so at least it was cheap.

Simply a great restaurant. We went there 4 days in a row because the food was realy delicious and the atmosphere was nice. And it was realy cheap as wel. We felt at home and my children were begging me to go back every next day as wel. The thalie and quacamole with tortilla's were favourite. My yougest doughter has eaten more and healtier than at home. I would recomend it to everyone! At our next trip to Barcelona we'll certainly search a hotel on walking distence of Veggie Garden as wel.

They've got a big menu, and a lot of options. I've eaten there two times, the food hadn't much taste. Only the tofu-sallad tapas dish tasted really good. I got kind of disappointed when I tasted the lemonade Lemon & mint. It tasted like toothpaste.

Average food and expensive - Edit
I’m reading the reviews and am pretty shocked. I’m either ordering the wrong thing or on a different planet. We’d been to the other Vege Garden and had Thalis which were OK so we thought we’d try this one. I had the vege garden salad which was literally inedible, the salad wasn’t even mixed, the avo wasn’t ripen in it, and overall it had absolutely no flavour at all. Eating that would put anyone off being vego. My bf had the bunless burger and it wasn’t great either, again no flavour and it came out in one second which is sometimes a worry. The only saving grace were the juices, although they’re pretty expensive at €5 each. Would 100% not go back or recommend to anyone in Barca, there’s plenty of other places that are good.
