Hot Mess - Edit
Third time trying to get a review up, so briefly: heavy-set guy (maybe a manager? he was sitting at a table eating most of the time we were there) was super obnoxious. We got a chik'n Caesar salad, which was very good but too pricey for the size (8,5eu). Then our friend's pizza arrived and we waited and waited for the other two orders. When my pizza arrived, she was about done with hers. Finally, that heavy guy walks *past* our table with the last dish, sets it on the bar and the waitress brings it over. What a DB. She couldn't eat it anyway, literally took 2-3 bites. It was roasted potatoes with a weird gloppy cheez sauce. Then they were rude about the check because we were "fighting" with our friends about picking up the check, and the waitress decided on her own, which is BS. Terrible experience. The food is generally good, so go to one of the other locations.

I Enjoyed It - Edit
Stopped in for a snack and coffee and really enjoyed what I ordered. The pan tomate was fantastic on crunchy bread with cashew crepe served alongside. Vegan crema was a tasty dessert, especially since it is such a difficult item to find in most places. I was looking forward to the hot chocolate, which I had heard good things about but they were out of it so I had a cappuccino with oat milk. They offer 3 alternative milks: soy, rice and oat.
Read moreMenu is all vegetarian with quite a few well marked vegan options. Service was great and fast.
Pros: Clearly marked vegan options, Plant milks
Cons: Out of hot chocolate

Not bad - Edit
We only sampled a few dishes, and the flavor was just ok. This is one of the famous and old restaurants in town so you might want to try it, but there are better places. Patatas bravas were good and recommended.

Great for lunch - Edit
Went here at lunch time and ordered from the set menu which was very affordable and the food was also tasty. There was at least one vegan option in each of the courses though the vegan dessert was just fruit but we were already full up by dessert anyway. Nice relaxing atmosphere and good location, close to the beach and good shopping areas. Very prompt service. Highly recommend the homemade ice tea, they also had fresh smoothies/ juices.

it’s gr8 - Edit
Many vegan options, and the starters are great, i recommend ordering several. the vegan nuggets were amazing and i didn’t expect that bc they’re made out of mushrooms and chickpeas i think? but the vegan pizza is really good (not the vegetable selection one tho!) and filling. i came here a few times. i really hated the veggie burgers though.

Cheap. Pizza was a bit disappointing though - Edit
We expected the pizza (9,50) to be more traditional style, with plenty tomato sauce. There were big chuncks of vegetables, but hardly any tomato. It was topped with vegan cheese, but that was not melted enough.

The interior at Vegetalia Born felt a bit old fashioned to us. Service was very friendly and swift.
Wheelchair accessible with accessible toilet on ground level.
Pros: not expensive, historic city center, nice view at square , wheelchair accessible
Cons: pizza not so nice

Good service and perfect pizza. The pizzas are not huge, and I recommend tapas or first course with it, if you’re hungry.

Good place for veggies and vegans - Edit
We went to Vegetalia a few times and were never disappointed. It’s all vegetarian with plenty vegan options. The value for the price is very good, I don’t think there is a dish that cost more than 9-10 euros and portions are generous. We tried the starters selection, vegan and vegetarian pizza, pan con tomate, risotto, fajitas and something seitan with cheese. Everything was yummy, maybe not mind blowing, but really good and I would highly recommend that place. Their staff is lovely and helpful.

Underwhelming - Edit
The shop has a very charming decor and the staff is friendly and speaks good English, but the food was pretty disappointing.
Read moreWe ordered a "superfood salad" (8.5€) and the vegetable paella (9.2€), with juice (4.2€) for drinks.
The superfood salad almost only consisted of quinoa and the paella was not very tasty. It was OK, but very underwhelming for the price.
One of the juices was good but the other was not blended properly.
Pros: Friendly staff, Nice interior
Cons: Underwhelming food, Pricy for what it is

Great option, Amazing hot chocolate - Edit
This place appeared before us just as our tummies grumbled and was a welcome and delicious meal. It falls in the category of "healthy tasting veggie restaurants" with some unique offerings and nearer the tastier end of that spectrum.
Read moreClear winner was the vegan hot chocolate, yummy barcelona style melted chocolate perfectly prepared. We had some yummy veggie croquettes. I had a vegan paella which just good and my eating companion had a 3-grain risotto which she called excellent. Carrot cake dessert was just ok, tasting clearly "wholesome and healthy'.
Pros: Hot chocolate, Solid choice, Location
Cons: Meals were just ok

Vegan cheese overdose - Edit
We had a dinner in this restaurant on a Friday evening. We chose to have salads as the starters which proved to be surprisingly big for being starters. As the main course I had a caprichosa pizza with vegan cheese (1 eur extra fee for vegan cheese). I didn't manage to finish the pizza (even though it did not look big) because there was way too much of the vegan cheese for my taste.

Average food, a bit tasteless - Edit
Not the best vegan meal we had in Barcelona. The hummus with bread to start was the best part of our lunch. The green curry was ok but the paella didn't really taste like paella. The waiter wasn't sure if the pasta of the day had milk, and it ended up having a creamy sauce (confirmed to have milk by someone in the kitchen, after the meal arrived). Average choice for vegans.
