Best vegan place in Malmö - Edit
This is a no-fuss vegan Chinese restaurant with a generous buffet at a very good price. On weekends you can also order off the menu.
Read moreThe location is a bit hard to find as you actually have to walk around the corner and there's currently a construction site so it looks like it's closed, but it's definitely open.
Went here several times, and even my non-vegan friend enjoyed the food here.
Pros: Good value for money

Fully vegan buffet - Edit
We really enjoyed the buffet. They have all of the nice deep-fried Chinese food that you usually find at Chinese restaurants, but completely vegan. You can also select some ingredients and they will make a fresh wok-dish from it! Can recommend it.

A Chinese buffet you can trust implicitly - Edit
For me, it was great. I typically dont care for Chinese food, but who in their right mind can turn down a vegan buffet? The owner was helpful with my dumb questions (can I only have one plate?) since I dont usually go the buffet route. It’s a great option if you want to stuff yourself on various vegan proteins. I paid 175kr for dinner.

Always a good option - Edit
Vegegården is always a good option in Malmö when you are hungry and want to eat well. The buffé is incredibly priceworthy and tasty. I was years since I was there last but it was just as nice as I remember. The staff is always welcoming and the atmosphere is nice. And if you go, the fried sweet potato is AMAZING!! A MUST TRY!!

I'm a regular at this restaurant, always ordering from the menu and not the buffet. The food is as good as you could expect from this type of restaurant (medium price buffet), well cooked and the owner is very friendly.

There’s not much better than an all you can eat vegan buffet!

Not sure of what some of the foods were but that’s my fault for not knowing the local language.
Pros: Eat until you’re full, Plenty of choice, Just turn up and start eating

Unmissable stop in Malmö - Edit
We had the lunch all-you-can eat buffet on a week day. It was cheap (100 SEK or a bit less than 10€), fresh and tasty! So amazing that everything is vegan. You can even take a coffee to go, wich is included in the price. I would definitely recommend anyone to visit this place.
Read moreAll the names of the dishes at the buffet are in Swedish but we used the Google camera translation that worked perfectly.

Don't miss it - Edit
What to say about Vegegården? You find all classic Chinese food in a vegan version of it. Really good and tasty, but probably not for you that looks for healthy options. It's served as a buffet and the price is more than fair. Friendly staff, nice place, easy to find close to the Modern Art museum. You can't miss it if you visit Malmö.

Ok if you like what asian food in Sweden usually is like. - Edit
Maybe I had too high expectations. I have eaten at so many chinese vegetarian restaurants in South east asia and was expecting something similar. It was not.
Read moreThe buffet had deep fried faux shrimp, pineapple, sweet potatoes and faux meat. Two thai style curries, masaman- and red-. fried vegetables, and the faux lamb. And of course rice and noodles.
There is also a salad buffet. Which as is common in Swedish lunch offers is quite impressive.
The faux lamb is the only dish i consider something extra. Otherwise the dishes lack flavour overall. It's filling for the belly but do not tickle my tastebuds.
Pros: Not very expensive, If you like deep fried food there is plenty., great salad buffet
Cons: Bland flavours, poor price / performance

A Malmö classic - Edit
Vegegården is a classic must-visit in Malmö. They have been around for almost two decades, and for all that time they had offered the most delicious, vegan Chinese-buffet. And a little healty salad-bar too, of course... :)
Read moreIf you. like me, enjoied the western take on a Chinese buffet-restaurant as a child, you would definitely love Vegegårdens vegan edition of this. And not only that: the price is very cheap. For 145 SEK (around 14 €) you can have the all-you-can-eat buffet.
In old days, as I remember, they offered mongolian barbecue too. I miss this however.
Another downside is their strange opening hours. They DO NOT have open for dinner, not even in the weekend. So you can only visit them for lunch.
But in short: If you are in Malmö, give yourself a (lunch) meal at Vegegården. You won't regret it.
Pros: Delicious Chinese buffet, Cheap
Cons: I miss mongolian barbecue, Not open for dinner
