The best vegan pizza I've had! - Edit
Not even a joke, this was the best vegan pizza I've had in a reaturant. I wanted a really garlicy, cheesey pizza and that's what I got!

Deep fried Italian dream - Edit
During a day trip to Newcastle we visited Vegano and had a pizza, deep fried ravioli (highlight of the meal for me) and the homemade camembert - I only wish I had been hungry enough to try the arancini too!! We also saw that the kebabs were very popular here and in the running for the best kebab in the UK!!! Hope Vegano won, it's amazing that they got so far - great representation as a vegan business in a kebab contest! 😁

Pre Bowl Scran - Edit
Went to Vegano for the second time (and being local and vegan for over 4 years I think I require some punishment) before bowling at Lane 7.
Read moreChicken Kebab for me was absolutely banging. Just beware the garlic will stay with you so maybe don’t grab one before a job interview or meeting a vampire or something.
Also be careful with the paper on the kebab. It burns quite quickly when you pop it on-top of the candle and the paper napkins do not work well as a fire blanket as I found out.
My better half got the Dunston Rocket and he too was impressed. And considering he is a meat eater he didn’t notice any difference from eating vegan meal.
Again 11/10 recommended.
Pros: Garlicy Garlic, Fresh , Excellent scran

Great vegan pizza! - Edit
Super vegan restaurant: beautiful space ( loved the animals mural! ), candles, friendly staff and really great pizza and wine! Nice 80's soundtrack. Loved that they support an animal sanctuary too. Why then do they use Flash spray to clean tables when there are so many vegan, earth friendly alternatives? A shame, otherwise would have given 5 stars.

Very impressed with this restaurant!Good atmosphere, friendly, good ambiance
Read moreVery good service and not very much wait time for our order.
Started off the meal with the lentil & walnut paté, which was an absolute delight! Then went for the verdura pizza as the main, which was one of the most flavoursome pizzas i have ever had. My friend went for the Enzo pizza, said it was very fresh and tasty but big.
I’d say that the price was right for the food, considering that many other italian places charge around this price.
One to revisit for sure! :)
Pros: Great atmosphere, Generous portions, Great food
Cons: Need to book, can get busy

Vegan everything! - Edit
I recently had the best day ever planned - day off work, two films at the cinema and lunch sandwiched in between. It was the perfect opportunity to go to Vegano as none of my friends are Vegan so I could suit myself. I know a lot of places generally dislike solo diners so I booked a table pour une personne via their website so they had notice.
Read moreIt's still a novelty to not have to search the menu for suitable options so I was so conflicted about what to order because I obviously wanted to get everything. Went for the BBQ Beast burger, which came with chips and was sooo good. The food service is really speedy here (and the server was nice), although it wasn't busy while I was there. I had a glass and a half of wine with my meal and then just as I was contemplating asking for the bill, the heavens opened and biblical rains appeared. Divine intervention - stay for a pudding. I almost went for a slice of cake I could see on the counter but I was intrigued by the pizzetta - sweet dough with ice cream, cream and Biscoff. Too much of a pig not go for it and no regrets because it was incredible. Mentally making a note of friends who could be persuaded to go so I can share my way through the starters but honestly, maybe I'll just keep going on my own. A present to me from me, I deserve it.

Amazing! - Edit
I LOVE this place. 100% vegan menu and everything is delicious. I visited on a Friday lunchtime and there was only 2 other customers - I suspect the location means that they don't get much passing trade so Newcastle vegans really need to support them.

Amazing food, lovely staff. - Edit
We stopped here before the football without a booking and we were looked after by the friendly staff.
Read moreThe food didn't take too long and was all absolutely beautiful. I had the Nduja pizza which was one of the best tasting pizzas I've ever had (and I eat a LOT of pizza).
The rest of my group had the doner kebab and the carbonara which were both exceptional too (also massive portions). We had the deep fried ravioli to share too which was great.
Honestly, I couldn't recommend this place enough. If you're anywhere near Newcastle, do yourself a favour and turn up here with an empty stomach and let them take care of you.
We will 100% be back again! Thank you

Fantastic food and lovely to our little girl - Edit
We popped in late on a Weds lunchtime. I had a mixed kebab (really tasty, heavy on the garlic, just how I like it), my wife had the Dunston rocket burger (tasty and unique, lovely moist chick'n). The best part was that our 2-year-old decided that she would ask for "chippies and chick'n nuggets", and even though this wasn't on the menu, the lovely waitress and chef made it for us anyway! It was perfect and she really enjoyed it. Thank you so much Vegano and see you again soon
