Fresh deliciousness - Edit
This little place is superb, from the food to the service to the location.
Read moreWe sat outside, and our waitress was super friendly, and the food arrived very quickly.
We shared the mezze to start, perfectly cooked bread with a smooth, punchy tzatziki with a real nice hit of dill.
For main I had the Balkan Ekspres which was exceptional. The salad was fresh and tasty, the aubergine cooked to perfection and the sauce underneath refreshing and tasty. Perfect for a warm summer's day.
If in Belgrade, you must visit this spot.

Excellent food and service - Edit
Very cozy place with great service and even better food (somehow!). They are really making sure there is a flavour to what they serve. Did not disappoint. Also very casual, I appreciated that.

Plant-Based, Not Vegan - Edit
Whilst the food served is vegan-friendly, it is not for ethical reasons. (Veganism being an ideology about not exploiting animals). The owner is vegetarian & the employees are carnists. Though it is a lovely small business & eating here is more ethical than in non-plant-based shops.

Pros: Plant-based food only!
Cons: Owner & staff do not have vegan ethical values.

Excuse the critique but your designation of a place as not vegan just because not all the people working there are not vegan is ridiculous.

Small place with big flavours - Edit
The restaurant isn’t huge but it has so much potential to expand as the food there was incredible. I had some of the best bao buns I’ve ever had there plus the mushroom miso ramen was delicious. The bright orange carrot cheesecake was also amazing and the staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming too. Worth the visit if you’re in the city.

Worth the detour! - Edit
At first I was a bit skeptic, because the menu was so big! That’s usually a sign that the food is only half-good. But boy, was I mistaken! I ordered a dish with fennel, beetroot and fried oyster mushrooms and it was delicious. One of the best dishes I had in the last years. It was perfectly seasoned and had a good amount of surprise flavors.

Pros: The waitresses are very nice :), Huge menu, Cockta! < 3
Cons: Strong smell of incense/patchouli, Reggae music but that‘s depending on taste ;)

Amazing! So much to choose from - Edit
Everyone said their dish was delicious and there was so much to choose from - including at least 5 different desserts. The staff were great happy to talk us through everything, they were genuinely excited about the menu. The craft beer went down well with the group, along with the selection of sauces.

Best Vegan Bistro in the Balkans....... Still! - Edit
Let’s ignore the name and focus on what matters, the food and the atmosphere of this new cafe/restaurant. First off -because this is something rare and wonderful in the Balkans- the atmosphere is pure and healthy because the whole space is a smoke free zone! Hooray! No matter how good food tastes it is ruined by the selfish smoking of others in a small space, even an outdoor one. Not here!
Read moreThe food is really good too, and imaginative!
Imaginative I hear you question... well I had the Elvis piadine, so named after the king’s famed love of mixing sweet and savoury and peanut butter, and yes it worked a treat.
The soup of the day - a gingery beetroot and celery number was lovely and warming. The chocolate cake is a beast of a nutty and cocoa concoction not smooth not over sweet but a chocky crunchy joy.
The service was friendly and in near perfect English, as others have noted they are keen to receive feedback, suggestions and they act on them!
And they are open on Sunday when so much else is closed!
I,ll be back, this place is the best bistro in Belgrade!
Returned 4th March 2023
Glad to report the service is great the food even better and everything is all vegan now (no more abuse juice for coffee). The Tricolore Crostini is my current top recommendation, a delighful mixture of flavours and textures. As is the QZ salad, which is a real riot of taste. This place maybe a bit more expensive than the others but by Western European standards its extraordinary value for great vegan food.
Stopped by for a snack last night 18/8/24 and ended up staying for an hour of foodie bliss. I was treated to samples of all their new dishes (yeah I am spoilt by veganlov!) and boy are there some treats amongst them. First off if you are partial to ginger and a scintillating soup that sends your taste buds into a rapturous state of heightened sensitivity then the Tom Kha soup is a must. The grilled carrot strips and oyster mushrooms combine with the coconut milk and ginger to do wonders of taste and texture I wish I could replicate at home!
Btw Their menu is pretty extensive nowadays !
Next up was the bizarrely named Balkan Express which combines aubergine and creamed spinach delightfully and came with crisp bread and sesame seeds aplenty!
But the Mojić was the star savoury delight of the night. Courgettes grilled so they are cooked but firm with a stack of saucy sensations atop. Damn! HC won’t let me write more!
Dec 24, another excellent meal here! Bao buns are sumptuous!

Fantastic - Edit
Would honestly eat here every day. Food and drink of the highest quality. Waitress could not have been nicer. Really friendly as well as knowledgeable about the food. Everything is fresh and well prepared. We were lucky enough to have some of the mushrooms that had been bought at the local market that day and they were incredible.

Lovely food and service - Edit
We had an enjoyable lunch here. We ordered a mushroom gnocchi (better than gnocchi I ate in Italy!), nasi goreng (not really, but a tasty meal), a delicious tom kha soup, and mushroom bao buns. The service was super friendly too. They have some nice drinks on the menu: the orange wine is some of the best I've ever had and the matcha mushroom latte is also recommended.

Lover of mushrooms - Edit
A lot of things are based around different mushrooms, so if you're a lover of mushrooms this is the place for you. Our waiter was so helpful, telling us which daily specials are the best, what's most popular. We had matcha mushroom tea and tumeric mushroom tea. Mushroom boa buns, a bulkan parmesan risotto and a bulkan express and carrot pie for dessert. It was all amazing.
