Kleines Ecklokal im Herzen der Brick Lane.

Such a creative menu with unusual selections, but they really work! We had a kimchi selection, vegan gnocchi and hemp sausage… it was amazing!! The owner and staff were super chatty and friendly, can’t wait to go back and try more of the dishes.

You won’t eat at another place like this. Korean Italian fusion that genuinely works and doesn’t feel precious. Lived in London as a vegan for about a year and a half and this is one of the best couple vegan restaurants in the city.

Refreshingly different - Edit
This little place is a gem run by really friendly people. It is something quite different in that the food is an Italian/Korean fusion with a focus on healthy eating and showcasing kimchi. Having not tried kimchi before I was a little nervous, but they talk you through the various options and help you select. Food was great, prices reasonable and we had a really enjoyable time. Well worth a visit

One of the things I love about London is how its vegan scene is big and diverse enough for unique concepts like this. So creative and delicious.

Tried multiple dishes in different visits. An absolute must try! The food feels so wholesome after you've eaten. Tried the white fungus salad and absolutely loved it! The mushroom gnocchi and kimchi kimbap are a must try. Beautiful ambiance too with plants everywhere. The owner will even come and sit down and talk to you about the food! They also give you a kimchi plate with 4-5 types for you to taste.

Great Spot! - Edit
I had lunch here recently. I loved the sushi burger, which is visually appealing as well as delicious. The whole shop is quite visually appealing as well, with various decorations and kombucha jars. The menu has a lot of variety for a small restaurant, and many of the items have been uniquely created by the chefs. Both owners had a chat with me. Highly recommend!

Overpriced for subpar facilities & tax dodging - Edit
An all round pretty weird experience, even by vegan standards.
Read moreNo toilet facilities on site, even though my main was £23.50 for a plate of fairly basic tomato beans and bread, with a 10% service charge on top.
They don't supply VAT receipts because they're not VAT registered. I find it hard to believe their turnover is less than £90k annually, so maybe the cash payments aren't all recorded. Feels like a tax dodge...
If you're a kimchi fan, worth checking out though
Pros: Desserts

OMG! - Edit
Was looking for a place to eat pre-gig with a (non veggie) friend and stumbled on this. As a big foodie i was excited and fearful in equal measure about Korean-Italian fusion.
Read moreI needn't have worried! The food was incredible! I loved the Poppognocci especially! Also, the service was brilliant and the pride they take in what they do was evident.
I'll be making this a destination restaurant. Vegan, different, delicious and friendly. Couldn't ask for more really.

Vegan Yes is a true passion project, borne out of love and developed with expertise. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the food is delicious. It is tiny and the furnishings are modest, but what it lacks in opulent surroundings it more than makes up for in terms of its inventive, delicious and nourishing menu and the enthusiasm of the owners who are very willing to share their knowledge and make recommendations.

Absurd how good it was - Edit
First things first: this place is pretty small and doesn't have a toilet. But the staff will show you a pub nearby where you can go 😉
Read moreFurthermore coming here really was an epic adventure! This Korean-Italian-Fusion idea (with a lovable backstory) sounds absurd but it tastes amazing! I had all the three courses which the charming chef led me through and every dish was exciting in its own way. Ah, and I had a Kimchi Cocktail, too 😄
I can strongly recommend this place! 🥰 And be brave to spend your money even though all the courses together are gonna cost you a little bit. It's worth it 🙃
