Authentic Vietnamese Buddhist food with homemade vibes - Edit
This place was founded by a Buddhist monk and the food itself feels homemade, which we found lovely!

Ok lunch - Edit
Cute garden. Menu looked very tasty, lots of fake meat options, but for lunch they only have two options. Staff spoke zero English. Only accepts cash. Big staircase down to the restrooms.

Best Asian Food in Hanover - Edit
A truly underrated restaurant, very close to Hanover's old town. Despite the change of ownership, we are still excited to come here every time. Even though the decor is very simple, the focus here is clearly on great, fresh food. The portions are filling, good looking and taste simply phenomenal. Each dish is a culinary delight in itself. The baked bananas, the homemade spring and summer rolls, the coconut soup, and the traditional main courses with peanut sauce are especially recommended.

Leckeres vegane Essen in Hannover - Edit

Nette Bedienung. Zahlung zur Zeit nur Bar möglich.

A mindful restaurant - Edit
If you are in Hanover: Go there! They need the support. We were the only customers there for an hour. 💸
Read moreA nice restaurant that has a very human atmosphere. Not all these cold, capitalist restaurants. You can just make yourself a free cup of tea 🍵there, for example. The food is cheap, you should donate more because it was delicious.
And OMG the music: so soothing. I felt like I was in a Studio Ghibli movie.
I hope they don't go out of business 🙏
Pros: tasty and cheap food with the option to donate, the music there is so calming, Tea for free

All in all great place - Edit
In my opinion the food was a little better and more extraordinary before the reopening. But it's still delicious with really friendly staff and the seating arrangements outside in the courtyard are quite cozy.

Küche in buddhistischer Tradition - Edit

fantastic food & concept - Edit
loved the food here! my sister and i had korea-noodles with tofu & vegetables which looked, smelled and tasted amazing! my boyfriend had some fried rolls on a bed of noodles and it was super delicious!
Read moretaste was rich, even though no gmo (yes!). portions were huge!
the atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly - we were the only people on a sunday evening but it didn’t feel awkward because of how nice the people were!
pay as you like always puts me in a strange position, so we paid what a dish costs in similar asian restaurants in Hanover which is approximately 10 Euro including a drink. it’s a great concept if you’re in need of food but don’t have the money but i feel you shouldn’t take advantage of this great cause if you can actually afford it.
Buffet Tuesday - Friday during noon, a la carte at all evenings.
Pros: flavour, service & atmosphere, all vegan & great cause

CLOSED UNTIL 18.7.2019 - Edit
***Update 6.7.2019 ... closed until 18.7.2019 ***
Read moreVegan village is a simple yet friendly restaurant in the space formerly occupied by Hannover's "Loving Hut". It is run by vegan monks following spiritual leader and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh. They offer a buffet of 3-4 main dishes and soup, as well as fruit and a selection of tea and cool water either plain or aromatised with Asian syrups (e.g. Sarsaparilla, Rose water), and tea.
As the price for the food is a free donation, also less fortunate people can afford healthy and delicious vegan food.
Pros: Nice food, Support good causes

Budhist vegan dinner - Edit
Visiting vegan village was a special experience in Hannover as budhist monks prepare the food and run the restaurant.
Read moreThe interior was quite basic but the friendly service provided a welcoming athmosphere. We had 4 dinner options including noodles, soup, curry and wok. Additionally there was a buffet with flavoured waters, teas and fresh fruits. The food was clearly freshly made and taste was good but not exceptional.
The concept is great because you can donate according to your means and the project supports people in need and refugees.
Pros: supports good cause
Cons: cannot make reservations
