Absolutely jaw-dropping - Edit
Went with my omni family and it got them closer to considering veganism!
Read moreThe place is simply beautiful with its view over Kyoto's city and mountainscape, the food is delicious and you can even get an oriental vegan option for a bit of extra money!😄Perfect atmosphere to enjoy vegan sushi.
My favourite were the tempura and vegan meat, you can re-order single pieces after ordering the whole set.

Good sushi option - Edit
I had eaten at the Tokyo branch and was excited to eat here too. The menu is a little different with fewer pieces of sushi and a selection of little side dishes instead.
Read moreThe sushi was well seasoned with good toppings. None of us were very keen on the scrambled egg. The others were all good, the tuna is great and the pickled ginger packs plenty of flavour without being too ferocious. The matcha noodles were probably the highlight from the side dishes, the soy meat and agedashi tofu both suffered from being a bit cold and soggy. The miso soup was tasty too.
A good experience overall, with a few misses.

Really good sushi - Edit
We really liked the vegan sushi. You can see they put a lot of thought into the flavours. But it's expesive and we we're not full after. It was 3820 yen for one plate and you order a plate per person. Then you get all the food items they have. There is a cheaper menu fot 3100 yen or so and then you only get the sushi. Good place if you want to try good sushi as a vegan in Japan!

Delicious and gorgeous sushi - Edit
The best sushi I've had in Japan so far! The set meal contained several different sushi pieces that were well-thought out and delivered beautifully. Every piece was a treat.

The proprietor is great. The sushi is art. They're new in town as of this post (April 2025) and deserve the support. Be aware they are on the 5th floor and a bit tough to find. The scavenger hunt is absolutely worth the reward.

Charming, friendly, delicious - Edit
The friendly vegan proprietor has a great thing going here, serving sushi obanzai with a diverse array of creatively crafted tasty morsels in a serene spot with a charming view of the river and the mountains from the tables by the windows. Worth the trip to give it a try.
Read moreHere, one first orders a standard set meal (with substitutions allowed) and then if you’re still peckish after that you can top up à la carte.
Note it’s on the 5th floor of the building, which you can reach either by the stairs or by the lift just behind them.
Recommended. Enjoy!

Brilliant Vegan Omakase! - Edit
Loved this! The restaurant has been only open a few weeks and has a set meal as it develops and it was a real treat! We both ordered three extra elements, and thoroughly enjoyed this fledgling restaurant, even if it’s not the first location. Give it a try!!!

Amazing Vegan Sushi - Edit
This is the best vegan sushi I’ve ever had. Each piece is a work of art and tastes even better than it looks. It comes with vegan Obanzai.

The best vegan sushi - Edit
This restaurant is located inside of a building which is a little hidden from the main roads, there was only a plate to choose which has different sushi types, a soup and other delicious things. Everything was nice and well prepared. It is a must try when in Kyoto. It only accepts electronic payment when ordering with the menu. We got some difficulties so the owner helped us with a contactless payment option.
