Yum - Edit
Echt goede vervanging voor de sushi met vis of vlees en heel lekker. En veel keus. Online kon ik geen tafel reserveren, maar toch gevraagd of ze nog een tafel vrij hadden. En ik kon toch terecht voor een snelle hap. Dus fijne service

Amazing vegan sushi! - Edit
Tried the cheesy tuna and shrimpless tempura crunch rolls. Both were amazing and I wish I wasn't alone so I could try the whole menu😄Definitely recommend. The staff was also super friendly. My favourite food experience from Amsterdam!

Everything excellent - Edit
The space is very comfortable, the service is really good, and the food is just excellent. One of the best vegan sushi i’ve ever tried. A must try in Amsterdam. The price is not cheap but it’s worth it and they also offer a complete menu for 31,95€

Best sushi of my life - Edit
I’ve been eating sushi my whole life but always have to eat avocado or cucumber sushi.
Read moreAt this restaurant we had three types of rolls and they were all so delicious: tuna/salmon, minced beef and chicken. They were loaded with flavour and honestly the best thing I’ve ever had at a sushi restaurant.
We also got the gyoza and the spicy shrimp bao buns. Best meal we had in Amsterdam!!!
Make sure to book a table in advance - we tried to go one night and it was fully booked. And the night we did go, they were booked back to back
Pros: Variety (7 sushi rolls to choose from) , Taste

Good vegan sushi, nice to have such varied rolls to choose from. The chicken bao bun was tasty as well.

Great sushi, nice people - Edit
We had the ‘shrimp’ roll and avocado maki, and the fried tempura mushrooms. It was very tasty. The shrimp roll was my favorite! So tasty! The mushrooms were a little bland and a bit too much for my taste. I would not choose them again. Nevertheless a great experience.

Sushi before Concert - Edit
Before heading to Saint Motel playing in Amsterdam we thought to sit down at this restaurant as it's close by!
Read moreThe wait time for food was little to none and everything is freshly made, the "no chicken bao bun" was delicious. Just like the avocado & cucumber maki.
We had some great homemade lemonade to go along with the meal.
And No-Chicken teriyaki rolls were absolute bliss!
Pros: Cute paintings on the wall
Cons: Store is on the smaller size, so reserve a spot

Okay sushi, but no restaurant experience - Edit
The vegan sushi was fine, but not very special.
Read moreBiggest con of the restaurant: service is as good as non-existent: self order with a QR-code, no interaction.
Restaurant itself is lacking atmosphere, design is very generic.

Exceptional Vegan Sushi & Warm Hospitality - Edit
🌱 A true plant-based gem! The bao bun was pure comfort, and the purple rice sushi rolls were as beautiful as they were bursting with flavour. Fresh, inventive, and clearly made with care. Friendly, welcoming staff and a chef who knows their craft. Don’t skip the fresh lemonade — zesty, refreshing perfection!

We did take away as the place was fully booked on a Monday evening, despite looking empty. More of a take away place than a restaurant, and our order was not fully correct. The sushi was tasty, our favourites were chicken teriyaki and the mushroom wings. Recommended, would go back for sure!

Omg, all the rolls were spot on… If I would open my own vegan sushi resto, I would not hesitate to just start a franchise out of this one!

The sushi and other dishes were definitely unlike nothing I've had before. Everything was very colorful and tasty. I do have to say it seems pretty overpriced, but it is definitely worth trying!

Vegan heaven - Edit
Vegan Sushi Bar is one of my all time favourite vegan restaurants. Their sushi is amazing (but a little expensive). Are on too good to go, so you can get a good deal. Their bao buns are amazing too. Favourite rolls: happy fish and crunchy California. Sides are okay but it’s the sushi you will want to get.

Best sushi I've had in ages - Edit
Staff were lovely, food was out of this world. I'm a big mushroom fan, and the dishes that contained mushrooms were incredible. Crunchy wings (oyster mushrooms) and the mighty mushroom sushi rolls were my favourite.

First time trying Sushi! And it’s vegan!! - Edit
I had never eaten non-vegan sushi before this so I didn’t have much to go off of, but my experience trying Vegan Sushi Bar’s food was so surprising and satisfying!
Read moreWe enjoyed 2 Bao Buns— one tofu and one mushroom— and both were fantastic. The Buns were light and fluffy (similar to those at Planta, iykyk). These might have been even better than Planta’s 😬.
We also ordered two rolls. One was their take on a classic California roll. SCRUMPTIOUS. So yummy. The other was meant to be shrimp. While I didn’t have anything to compare it to, it really did taste like I assumed it was supposed to 😂. All around, good time.

Best sushi - Edit
There’s a fancy vegan sushi place in Paris, but honestly they should take a lesson from these guys. Every single thing we’ve had (including drinks) was bursting with flavour. It was a beautiful meal. Brought two non vegan friends with me and they said it was the best sushi experience they’ve had in their lives.

All I care about is vegan sushi - Edit
So as you can imagine, I was coming in with high expectations, or just pure excitement. The place is literally named vegan sushi, so there's no question about what you are getting into.
Read moreThe music and atmosphere were both great and the staff was friendly.
We had the gyoza, boa, miso soup and two different rolls (one maki, the other Korean pulled beef). To finish it off, we had mango mochi.
I would've liked more tofu and less mushrooms in my miso soup, but otherwise great flavor.
Hilariously, a Japanese woman walked in while we were eating and walked up to look at the kitchen and said "I have to see what vegan sushi looks like!" and then proceeded to giggle and smile while looking around. This place is the real deal, do not skip either location - I wish they were in the states!
Everything was completely delicious, beyond!
Pros: Varied flavors, Delicious, Great atmosphere / music
