amazing!!

I got a falafel gyro and it was some of the best falafel i’ve ever had, the white sauce is amazing. our server Jennifer was fantastic and friendly 10/10

Service and food were both top notch!

I was visiting for the weekend and I ended up ordering from here TWICE. Def planning to come here again next time I’m in the city. Jennifer was awesome!

Drumsticks galore

Do not overlook this little hole in the wall if you're hunting for vegan food that sets itself apart from all the other vegan spots in the city. This place has the best vegan food I've had to date in NYC and I don't say that lightly. First, the drumsticks. Best drumsticks ever, and they make them with the sugarcane and all. They were delicious. I also got the gyro with their house white sauce and house-made seitan that was cooked in some red sauce and it was all delicious. If I didn't live in another state, I'd be throwing away my paycheck at this place every day. Their mac and cheese is also to die for. And the employee who was working there when I went (Jen?) was super friendly and patient - hard to find that in NYC. Will definitely be hitting up this place again and trying out everything else on their menu!

Pros: Excellent food, Friendly staff, Good portions

Cons: Chairs are too low while table counters too high, Limited seating , Need napkin dispensers

Not bad

We got the impossible chopped cheese and the chicken chopped cheese and they were just ok. Indoor dining was closed when we went, so we had to take our food to the park to eat. I probably wouldn’t go back, but if I did I would get something else.

Our dining room closes 1hr prior to closing so our staff can clean and disinfect the area. We are looking to extend hours soon. Hope to see you again!

Amazing

The service was great, my husband and I were unsure of what to order, Jennifer explained and gave suggestions . The suggestions she gave didn't fail. The food was AMAZING.

Seitan Platter is Awesome!

Come hungry!!! Seitan served over a bed of perfect seasoned Basmati Rice. Served with grape leaves and salad. Menu looks amazing.

Pros: Wide range of options on the menu.

Cons: Small location but makes up with BIG flavors!!

Wow

I hesitated to try this place cause nothing original really popped out on the menu: gyros, falafel etc
That being said I had their original seitan gyro sandwich with harissa and feta.. and it was to do for! It was bursting with flavor. A must try for sure.

Truly amazing!

Vegan on the fly is truly one of my go to places in the city! The food is fantastic and you get a lot of rare items that you can’t get anywhere else. The vegan Gyro is amazing! Jennifer, one of the staff members, was so sweet and so nice I can’t wait to go back! We love vegan on the fly. We love Jennifer!

So so good!

This place is absolutely delicious, best vegan gyros I’ve ever had. The staff is the absolute best, super super nice and were incredibly kind to our little kids who were more energetic than they needed to be at the restaurant! Also incredible desserts. Anyone visiting or living in NYC should check it out.

Pros: Best Vegan gyros I’ve ever had!, Great desserts., Nicest staff ever.

Great find

Blink-and-you'll miss it place near Rockefeller Center. Iskender was delicious nice to have a change from falafel. A good range of gluten free too. Nice and peaceful in the small area out the back too away from the hubbub

Awesome!

In NYC and wanted to try Tampa’s Vegan International’s sister resturaunt, Vegan on the Fly! I was not disappointed! Only one complaint; my pineapple ginger drink wasn’t very sweet. I may have gotten a bad batch, but otherwise the food was great!!

Pros: Great food!, Excellent portions, Delivery

Cons: Drink wasn’t as good as usual

Okay

The gyro sandwiches looked ugly but tasted awesome! The mac n cheese tasted just salty... boring. Drumssticks good. You can sit outside but the atmosphere is not good and the tables are super sticky.

Tasty food, bit shabby

Fast food at its best. The food was great and fast as it’s supposed to be. But the eating area outside seems to be bit dirty and not welcoming while inside pretty claustrophobic.
I wasn’t much happy with the drink selection. It’s either fresh juices or Coca Cola. Nah for both from me

We appreciate your feedback. Our indoor dining is small due to the fact we have a small narrow hallow and can only accommodate few guests. We have a outdoor dining which is cleaned and sanitized periodically throughout the day.

Wanted to like it

It’s just a kinda grimy place in a super confined space. Food was expensive and was essentially greasy cheese on bread

We apologize you didn't have a great experience. Our space is very small which is why we are mostly take out. Unfortunately we don't sell greasy cheese bread. We recommend trying our gyros. They are a top seller!

Delicious food and great service

We ordered gyros and sandwiches and they were simply delicious. Our non vegan friends LOVED it too! Also, they were very understanding when one of our friends needed another wrap and they got her a new one. Great people and great food!

Can’t wait to visit again

Not easy to find a nice vegan spot around Times Square.

Beyond chicken Mac and cheese tastes great in its original sauce. Great service and great staff! Can’t wait to visit again.

Found this place on happy cow and we couldn't have enjoyed it more!

Great food, great service!

I got the buffalo Mac and cheese with the beyond tenders and my husband got a gyro. The food was great! I would definitely come back next time we are in New York. Thanks for the awesome experience.
