I ordered delivery to my hotel room due to rain, but it still tasted relatively fresh. I started off with the sausage empanada which was a little disappointing. The dough was ok and well cooked but the filling was lacking something, it tasted like just a bolognese sauce, some cheese or more cheese would have helped it. The Beyond Mac and Cheese bowl was GREAT! the Mac and cheese has a great taste, reminded me of an upscale Kraft. The beyond chicken was crispy and well cooked, the BBQ sauce and Ranch were also spot on. The flavors and textures all blended deliciously!
Read moreUpdate: Came back after two years and the food is still bomb! I dined in this time, but unless you’re nearby or want to skip the delivery fee, takeout is the way to go. The seating area is tiny—just a few stools and shallow counters. I had the mac and cheese bowl with double vegan kefta. Still an excellent comfort food spot!

Stopped by for a takeaway meal after work. I went for a gyro with Jerk vegan chicken. Very messy but good flavor. Knocking off one star since it was a bit overpriced, but I will certainly try this again next time I'm in the neighborhood

We enjoyed the burgers and fries although I agree with the last reviewer that the portion of fries was large so make sure to share.
Read moreThe seating area wasn't great and had we seen it before we ordered, we may have gone elsewhere. It was raining and we wanted to eat in but it wasn't the most pleasant place to sit.
Although having no toilets in this type of food place may be common, this was a problem for our family.
They also didn't provide tap water unlike all other places we ate.

I try to support vegan food places wherever I go but this place was dirty, the food was really bad, portions are too big for one person (food waste), didn’t feel tasty or fresh, overpriced (went to high end vegan restaurant and paid less); they use plastic cutlery and single use plastic sachets for ketchup, no toilets (who even does this considering they sell food and drinks), the room at the back where there are a few seats looks depressing, smells and is very uninviting. No wifi and the staff aren’t very nice either, I regret leaving a tip and how annoying they ask for it in advance. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I was forced by the app to leave 2 stars but it’s definitely minus 100 stars.

Delicious vegan junk food - Edit
We got loaded Mac and cheese and a chopped cheese and it was delicious. The Mac and cheese was sooooo gooey and the chopped cheese was also super moist and tasty. It was almost TOO moist so it was quite hard to eat but it was still delicious.

Fast, Fantastic and Delicious! - Edit
We went here three times during our New York trip! The best gyros, drumsticks, and sandwiches we’ve had so far. The food came out fast even though we ordered seven different dishes. On our last visit, we had milkshakes and they were creamy and smooth! There were so many options to choose from! We will be going back here on our next trip to New York!

El local es pequeño, pensado para comida para llevar. De todas formas tienen 2 barras con 4 a 5 sillas para sentarse, por lo que sería bueno ir ampliando y habilitar un baño.
El personal fue muy amable, nos llevó las bandejas a la mesa.

Omg! So freaking good. Tried the wrap and a plate with seitan and both were bomb. Loved the sauce they used as well as the texture of the seitan (it was perfection)! Also tried the cookies and cream milkshake which was outstanding. Just beware their spicy sauce is actually very spicy haha. The location of Vegan on the Fly is great because it's close to Times Square, broadway, etc. Limited seating inside.

One of my favorite restaurants of all time - Edit
Whenever I go to NYC this is one of the first places I try and hit. I got the: Grinder or maybe it was "chopped cheese" (being from the Philly area I would call it a philly cheesesteak with mac and cheese but darn it was AMAZING), the chicken sandwich was about tied for the best vegan chicken I have had, and the taco things (forget what they are called) were good, only the wings were not great, and they were still decent and physically emulated wings disturbingly well. There are many other items I hope to get on the menu, but I am telling you....that grinder cheesesteak thing with mac and cheese might very well be the single best item I have ever had at any vegan establishment :O

This place was so amazing - got the gyro w/ seitan, mac n’ cheese, and strawberry lemonade. The seitan was well spiced, sauce was amazing, and veggies were super fresh. A short walk from Times Square - totally worth it! The food also came out quick and the staff was so friendly. A must visit!

We shared an impossible chop cheese and a jerk chicken mac and cheese which was plenty for lunch. We were amazed by the Mac and cheese and loved the jerk flavor which had a nice kick but not spicy. My husband raved the chop cheese was extremely authentic because i had never had a cow meat chop cheese before becoming vegan so long ago so didn’t have that to compare it to.
