Great food, good service, very busy - Edit
We had the nijiya course. Food was amazing and the ambience very cozy. It’s shojin cuisine adapted to modern vegan standards. Staff have good English and are very attentive, they’ll be very accommodating if you have any sensitivities (e.g. garlic, spices). There’s just two people working there and 7 seats, it’s pretty busy and people start lining up at the door around 5pm. Nevertheless, courses were served relatively fast once there. If you’re hungry, I’d recommend going for the large nijiya course as you get more servings. A must try for sure.

the best vegan restaurant we’ve been to during our Japan trip! we came a few minutes after opening and waited an hour and it was worth every second. The skewers were heavenly! Highly recommend this place

I saw here someone saying "best food i've had in japan" and after tasting it, i understend. I have ordered the plate number 2, the biggest menu they have, as the portions of everything are quite small and bite-size. Everything was DELICIOUS.

Seven seat izakaya that is definitely worth the wait. I'd recommend getting there at 17:15 to get the first sitting. Each sitting is limited to one hour. We got the set menu which was so delicious. Great drinks as well.

The set meal is maybe the best thing I've ever eaten. Specifically, the gyoza is the best I've ever had, and the skewers were probably the best veganeat I've ever tried. The chocolate dessert slice was also delicious. Only 7 seats so you will likely have to wait outside but 100% worth the wait.

By far my favourite meal in Kyoto! We waited about an hour to get in as there are only 7 seats inside, however it was 100% worth the wait! Everything we ate tasted amazing, super friendly staff and we loved the cosy vibe. Definitely recommend!

Roasted miso rice balls - Edit
Place was excellent, we especially loved the roasted miso rice balls. Very small and there was a line, even shortly after they opened and mid January but worth the wait!
