The menu is very impressive- so much good stuff to choose from. Have had a couple of takeaways from here and still want to try more of the menu. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious no complaints!

The authentic flavours are the real winners - Edit
Having previously visited and indeed having found some of the curries overly sweetened, on the second visit I was able to calibrate and fine tune the ordering.
Read moreI would suggest ordering the more authentic flavours, such as, dopiaza, korai or puri.
The fact that one can chose a plant based protein is a nice addition.
They run a special offer deal on Sundays.

Top not vegan indian food with a very extensive menu! - Edit
Very tasty Indian food, all of the usual dishes plus a few that we've not come across before. The menu is almost too extensive, quite difficult to pick and the portions are also generous.

Just had a takeaway from Vegan India on Gloucester Road, Bristol. The food was great and all vegan. Staff were very friendly too! Will definitely go back and eat at the restaurant but the takeaway was one of the best we've had. Food was very tasty, extensive menu, we had the tandoori mixed grill which was delicious, great naans, chickpea bhuna and a sag aloo, it was all great! In fact, it was all delicious! And very reasonably priced for the amount of food. Some of the dishes came in cardboard containers as well so not too much plastic waste!

I had a lovely sit down meal and it didn't disappoint, lovely decor, great selection of meal choices and heat levels and a good range of non-alcoholic drinks. Attentive staff and food served in good time. I went on a Friday evening and there wasn't a spare seat so I'd definetly consider booking ahead.

I had been to Vegan India when they were just a takeaway shop on Stapleton Rd and loved their curries then. The new restaurant is even better! With a HUGE menu to choose from, this is vegan heaven. Sooo yummy!

Delicious vegan curries 😋 - Edit
This new restaurant smashes it out the park. It's so good! Huge variety of dishes, including the usual suspects. Many curries can be made with vegetables, tofu, tempeh (unusual but welcome addition), or faux versions of chicken or other meat.
Read moreThey don't currently have a license, and don't do desserts. I asked about this and was told they're going to be doing some desserts but it's taking time to work it out. If they get vegan penda that would be amazing.
We had two poppadoms, two starters, two mains and two sides and it came to £38 which is very reasonable. Nice portion sizes and all delish!

We loved the choice of traditional dishes veganised, we had incredible puri starters which were huge!

Peshwari nan was fabulous as we have never had a vegan one before and the bread was super soft and fresh.
The staff were lovely and we wish them all the success and we will definitely be returning!

Really tasty food. Good for both vegan meat lovers & vegetable curry lovers! Went in a group of 5. Got 6 side dishes, 3 rice (the mushroom was great!), a garlic naan and 6 popadoms. Was enough food for all of us! And was about £55, so fairly cheap for a nice meal out.

Tasty, veganised Indian “favourites” - Edit
All-Vegan versions of most of a “typical” Indian menu in the UK, including tandoori, curries and biryani. Food is subtly spiced which I found very pleasant and not overpowering. Atmosphere v relaxed , though was fairly empty on the Tuesday evening we visited. Need to go back a few times to sample a reasonable cross section of the menu!
