Incredible - Edit
We got the steamed full set (11 gyoza) - perfect amount of food for a good meal. All gyoza have soy meat so are all filling, but each with interesting distinctive flavours. All equally delicious - can't choose a favourite. Best selection of draft craft beer I've found so far in Japan, and great soda floats too. We went for lunch and didn't have to wait or queue at all.

If you want vegan Gyoza, this is the place. - Edit
Do the right thing and order all 11. You can then order more of the ones you prefer. Steamed or fried. Bit of a wait, but well worth it

These were the best gyozas we ever had. It also was the best food we had the entire trip. And we had some good food.

Incredible flavours and colours - Edit
This place exceeded our expectations. The 11 flavours of all vegan, all naturally coloured gyoza were utterly delicious. The flavours were delicately balanced and each distinctive. My personal favourite was the miso ginger, but they were all excellent. Highly recommended!

Don’t sleep on the chocolate matcha! - Edit
Stopped in around 12:30 on a W and was able to get a table right away. However, it’s a small place, and if you have a party larger than 3 just know it might be either a long wait or just generally tough to squeeze.
Read moreMy husband and I each ordered a set to try all the options and they were delightful. I also got an iced chocolate matcha after seeing multiple recommendations for it and I am SO glad I did! It was a perfect sweet treat after the savory dumplings. Def recommend.

Great Gyoza - Edit
Party went for 2 steamed Gyoza sets (comes with 1 of each of the 11 Gyoza flavours) and they were all really good. Ran us ~6500 yen for that and two drinks.
Read moreRestaurant staff were really nice, and they spoke english well. Restaurant itself had seats for dine-in. We went in without a reservation and without delay, but others who came after us had to wait a bit so maybe book a table if you can.
Clean, comfortable vibe. Will go again if we can.

Wow - Edit
According to their site, no sauce is needed, and they are absolutely right. I had the mix platter pan-fried gyoza and each and every one of the gyoza were full, Ful, FULL of flavour. And all of them tasted exactly as promised, WOW.

Go go gyoza ! - Edit
We squeezed in a visit to Gyoza Yu during the last moments of our Tokyo visit, and boy were we glad to have done so.
Read moreAs all the reviews mention, there was a wait. Saturday afternoon, and we waited perhaps 30-min. We were prepared for the wait so it didn’t bother us.
We got the 11-gyoza set each, steamed. Each one had distinct and delicious flavors. We ate them in the order presented on the menu, and found that they went from flavorful to intensely flavorful. My favorites were their shiitake, Chinese chives, and miso ginger. It was filling and satisfying.
On a full stomach, we hustled back to the train station and just made our flight home to the US. Perfect way to cap our visit to Tokyo.
Pros: Delicious and distinct, Quiet neighborhood, Friendly waitstaff
Cons: On the outskirts of town, Wait time

Great selection of gyoza - Edit
Three of us came here and got mixed plates of all dumplings served fried. The gyoza here are big and the dough in the wrappers feels thicker than most other gyoza I've ever had. This was a bit of a dealbreaker for one of our party and they didn't enjoy them as much as thinner crispier gyoza we had elsewhere.
Read moreI still very much enjoyed the plate. Each dumpling is a mix of soy meat, chopped up glass noodles and then some additional filling depending on the flavour. They are well filled dumplings and are packed with flavour. A few personal favourites were the spring onion miso, garlic miso and kimchi dumplings. The green pepper and coriander were both a bit of a miss for me.
The cream sodas were a fun drink to get as there don't seem to be many options to get vegan versions of these elsewhere.

Truly amazing - Edit
Arrived at 3 on a rainy Sunday and still experienced a 30 minute wait. BUT it was so worth it!! The gyoza were incredible- so pretty and delicious beyond words. They had a great array of drinks as well. This is a cannot miss stop in Tokyo.

Great food, long wait - Edit
Let's start with the great part: the food itself. Definitely the best vegan gyoza I've ever had. I got the steamed set and it was delicious. All the ones with "miso" in the name were the best, along with the green pepper. The coriander one was also notable. All stuffed with delicious soy meat and other ingredients. Now, the real talk: Be ready to wait. Possibly a long time. We waited in a queue outside for 40 min. Then another 30 min for our food once we sat down. The server was very sweet and apologetic for the wait. It wasn't her fault. I think this place really needs to hire one more person to help out. The staff were all friendly and doing their best, but the place is just too popular. The payoff is quite delicious, but I probably wouldn't have chosen to wait if it wasn't a bit of a vegan food desert in the area. TL;DR: If you don't show up too hungry and are willing to wait, the steamed gyoza set is quite yummy.

DELICIOUS GYOZA - Edit
Exceeded expectations! We would have been happy with one type of Gyoza but they have more than 10 different flavours! We each ordered a mix plate and enjoyed them one by one reviewing the flavour. None of them disappointed. Incredibly delicious.

Great out of the way stop - Edit
We decided to stay in Ueno, not sure that was the best idea. This spot is a quick car ride away. This place was awesome… we were so relieved after multiple restaurant strike outs. The veggie gyoza were so delicious! They really built a nice flavor palate that won’t disappoint.
