Gyoza heaven!!!

One of the highlights of our trip in Tokyo for sure! Don’t miss out on this one!

We had the set menus with 11 different flavour gyozas. The gyozas were huge! And the taste… Eating each one, we thought that it must be the best one. Until we tasted the next one! So good!! Strong, clean flavours, where the ingredients speak for themselves.

Pros: So delicious, Different flavours, All vegan

Best gyoza I have ever had

At first I was sceptical about the reviews but those are truely great gyoza. The day I was there they offered 11 different gyoza which all tasted different but very delicious. You can decide between steamed and fried gyoza, freezed is also an option.

Pros: Best gyoza, Friendly staff

Just one word - AMAZING!

It only offers 12 different Gyozas, each individual in flavour and colour. Everything is vegan and handmade. I tried the fried and the steamed gyoza plate, which includes each Gyoza for around 2000yen. It simply looks amazing and each Gyoza has a unique flavour. There's also no soy sauce you could add to it, so you can taste the Gyoza by itself. Hands down...Vegan Gyoza Yu offers the best Gyoza I've ever had and beside of that it was one of the best dishes I've ever experienced. Furthermore the service is so kind and mindful. I'll definitely come back. 10/10!

Surprisingly filling

The set is not expensive and each dumpling is crammed with filling so it adds up. I was worried about celery, ginger and coriander ones as I'm not a fan but they truly are all tasty and taste distinctly different so makes for a fun taster.

Tried the fried one but would be tempted to try the steamed one next

Pros: Mix of flavours , Filling, Good drinks menu

BEST GYOZA EVER

This place is incredible! We had such a great experience here on our recent trip to Japan. We loved it so much we made sure to come back again before we left! I still dream about this gyoza. Sometimes the wait to get a table was a little long to get seated, but 30000% worth it. The gal working is so amazing and helpful and kind (and she works so hard!) we cannot wait to come back!

Pros: Coriander gyoza, Kimchi gyoza , chive gyoza

Wonderful!

The only place to ever get me to like celery or green capsicum. Just wow! The garlic, ginger and coriander are intense. The kimchi, shiitake and green onion are classic, delicious flavours. The eggplant has a tiny bit of spice and feels extra meaty. The coriander is reminiscent of chimichurri. Everyone should try the tasting set. Surprisingly filling! Great service, inside and outside seating. Offers coffee, matcha and lemon soda. Awesome destination tucked back on a small street on the bottom floor of an apartment building.

Pros: Flavourful , Fun, Variety

Cons: None

How in the world do they get so much flavor in these things?

This place is so good. Seriously, each one of the 11 varieties tastes different and they are all intense flavors. I was stunned. I thought for sure 11 gyoza would just be an appetizer but we could barely finish them all. There was no way I was going to get up from the table without eating each one though.

Nos meilleurs goyza ever

Concept vegan 100 % gyoza.

Favorite restaurant in Tokyo

The gyoza are incredibly delicious!!! They differ from traditional gyoza because they are larger and have several different fillings available. The different flavors are spectacular and made in house! This is the one restaurant I tell everyone not to miss. It’s located in a residential area, so be aware of that so you don’t think you’re lost.

Pros: The food is amazing, Calm atmosphete, Great service

So delicious

This place has some of the best gyoza I ever ate. We got 2 full sets, one steamed and one pan fried, and both were delicious. Every gyoza has a different filling and a different taste and it's so impressive how they made all of them tasting totally different. We had a lot of fun trying all the different flavors and finding our personal favorites.

Favorite Gyoza

So happy that I got to try this place out. It was conveniently right around the corner from our hotel! We got the steamed gyoza and strawberry matcha, I loved it all! The staff are extremely kind also. This is a must try place.

OMG, the BEST gyoza!

A cute little restaurant in a somewhat odd location, in the middle of a residential area. The entrance is onto an outdoor, but sheltered, deck with seating for approximately 10-12 people. The inside looked a little smaller, but I didn't get a good look, so not sure. The heater was on and it was quite warm in there, so glad we were seated on the deck.

I started with a Chocolate cafe Latte and we ordered two mixed sets, one steamed and the other pan-friend just to compare the differences. The pan-fried were preferred as there's a contrast of textures between the soft filling and the softer part of the wrapper, and the crunchy chewy pan-fried part. I'd recommend this over the steamed, which was all the same texture, but still delicious!

Some of the flavors are quite similar or the prominent ingredient was a little too subtle or strong compared to the miso. We decided the Eggplant miso, the Green onion Miso and the Garlic Miso were our favorites, so we finished with a set of these. 14 gyozas each was plenty to fill us up!

I would definitely recommend a visit, but not exactly close to a metro station, so not the most convenient.

Best meal in Japan

Tied for my best meal in Japan. If there's a line, just wait in it. Get all 11 gyoza. You won't regret it. Each one was like a flavor bomb. I got steamed and my friend got pan fried. I traded for his eggplant gyoza since he doesn't like eggplant and so got to taste the pan fried as well. I found it a touch too oily and was glad I opted for steamed. Lattes were good too!

Pros: YUM!!!!!

We came back 3 times

The food here was so delicious that we came back three times! They only serve vegan gyozas, but they have 11 different types, and each one is a flavor bomb. It’s possible to order them either steamed or pan fried. The tasting set costs ¥1900. The owner is super nice and remembered us every time. Do yourself a favor and visit Vegan Gyoza Yu.

Colorful and Delicious

This is an absolute must if you are plant-based and still a fun experience for everyone.

This vegan gyoza shop is tucked away, giving it a very neighborhood feel. The small cafe has a few seats in the front patio with tables inside. Staff were super friendly and spoke English, easily explaining how to order and the different kinds of gyozas they offer.

We ordered a bundle of pan-fried and steamed dumplings. Coming out in its rainbow glory, we were stoked to feast upon these beautiful creations. Each gyoza uses soy meat that's seasoned with different veggies and spices. I love the color of each of the gyoza that reflect the type of ingredient it uses. Everything was tasty and a wonderful feast for both the eyes and mouth.

Drinks were also fantastic at this cafe. Loved my matcha latte with plant milk. It's simple, but really adds to the friendly vibes.

Excellent

We got the set, I got pan fried, she got steamed. Both were equally excellent.

My very rough order of enjoyment, from most to least. All were excellent though. Some a tad too salty like the eggplant.
