Amazing Vegan Takes On Iconic Japanese Dishes - Edit
All-around wonderful experience. They have a small but very polished menu. The space itself is cozy and lowkey. It feels a little like home. My partner and I had the takoyaki, gyoza, kushikatsu, and okonomiyaki. They were all fantastic! I loved the matcha salt with the kushikatsu and it was my first time being able to have takoyaki! Also, our waiter was extremely sweet! We felt very welcome there.

Kid-friendly and great food! - Edit
The food was amazing, we were excited to try the Okonomiyaki especially. And it was so kid friendly, there was a big toy shelf full of books, trucks, and toys. So great for families! And the staff was so friendly. Highly recommend!

Solid option near Osaka St. - Edit
The setup is a bit funny but the gyoza seem home made and the takoyaki are great.

5 star gluten free food - Edit
I was so happy to find gluten free Okonomiyaki and it was so close to the real thing, super comforting but without feeling too heavy imo.
Read moreI also ordered the Karaage (would recommend, the sauce is yummy) and the salad with carrot dressing.
It was a lot of food for one person but I left feeling nourished and satisfied 😇

Worst food I have had in Japan - Edit
When we arrived at about 12:30pm the place said it was fully booked until 2:15. There was nothing about that on their instagram and I looked at the website and they specifically said they did not take reservations. Odd but whatever. The person told us they were offering take out in the meantime so we opted for that.
Read moreIt took about 45 min to get a 20 piece of takoyaki, 1 order karaage, and 1 okonomiyaki. I was expecting it to take a bit longer because the okonomiyaki said it would take about 15 min on the menu. It was much longer than that but it took much longer than that. I chalked it up to them just being busy.
The worst was the okonomiyaki. It had no batter and was just partially cooked cabbage and bean sprouts. The karaage was the best thing but it was mediocre & wasn’t crispy at all. The takoyaki was weird… I knew it was going to be gluten free but it was really mushy and gelatinous inside with little flavor.

Great menu authentic food - Edit
Whent with partner who is not vegan, so glad we found this peaceful place The menu has traditional food and the layout is also very traditional. We both enjoyed our meals. The ice cream/ desert was the highlight for me as i found it hard to find good vegan ice-cream. During the day this cafe operates as a mum and baby space and in the evening becomes a resturant

Fantastic place! - Edit
Really good food! Everything is vegan and gluten free (minus one beer which is labeled). Great place for kids as well. You get a small room with max one other table to eat in. If you're in Osaka I highly recommend it.

Great Options on Uber Eats - Edit
My family and I ordered dinner from here twice on Uber Eats. We loved the food! It arrived nice and hot. The only downside was that all three orders of the gyozas were really burnt. Great option on Uber Eats when you’re hungry and other restaurants are closed.

Favorite Osaka Takoyaki - Edit
Out of all the vegan takoyaki we tried in Osaka, this one was our favorite! We also got the gyoza and okonomiyaki, and they were not too bad! The location is not the best though, and next time, we might just get takeout.

Vegan versions of Japanese classics - Edit
It was good to try vegan versions of some Japanese classics - takoyaki and okonomiyaki. I wasn’t a big fan of the texture of the former, but I did really like the latter. Service was good, decent drinks list available. Take your shoes off to sit at the little tables

Just okay, no Japanese menu - Edit
The food was alright, I had karaage and okonomiyaki. The karaage was decent but the okonomiyaki lacked substance so I was still hungry after... Not something you expect from an okonomiyaki.
Read moreService felt a little stiff and weird. It's okay to fill a stopgap in Umeda since there's not as many options as Namba but it's not somewhere worth going out of your way to visit, especially for the price.
I was disappointed to see literally everything in English with no Japanese menu, no Japanese sign and their whole website is in English. While I understand that most customers are foreigners, we need to create a welcoming environment to local Japanese people as well so if they want to have vegan food, it's easy for them. This is important to do as ethical vegans, and looking beyond only profit. This makes sense as half the time they operate as another business called Second Room cafe which offers meat and zero vegan options, THOSE menus are in Japanese.

Pros: Karaage was nice, Has good potential to be cosy, Convenient for those going to Osaka station

The worst food I had in Osaka - Edit
Overpriced, and not worth visiting! I ordered salad and main dish. The portions were small (for this price you could have entire dinner). The salad was awful - I wanted it because it was supposed to have some seasonal veggies but it was blunt and served with no veggies just plain tofu. Also the Caesar dressing was bitter. The service was nice though..

Mixed bag - Edit
The “tako”yaki was amazing - better than others we tried this weekend. Really crisp on the outside and good texture inside. The salad was nice too. The okonomiyaki was 90% cabbage with a few bean sprouts and 3 large lumps of barely seasoned soy meat that were all in the same place. It also took way longer than the time stated on the menu (15 minutes). The batter and sauce/mayo tasted good but there wasn’t much batter compared to the cabbage. Definitely felt it was overpriced for what was served.
Read moreService was spotty, our drinks weren’t refreshed when asked (we just gave up), and the table next to us were waiting for a very long time for a dessert that had obviously been forgotten.
I would definitely go back for takeout takoyaki if I’m ever in the area again though!
Pros: Delicious vegan takoyaki, In the evenings you get private rooms
Cons: Service could be better

We got the okonomiyaki, kaarage chicken, self-roll sushi (didn’t really become sushi as seaweed didn’t stick), and the 2 deserts cakes.
