Just okay

Perks for a fully vegan menu. It's safe for many with stomach issues / allergens, but thus lacks greatly in flavor.
I'd give a score of 2.5 - 3. I personally wouldn't go back. The service wasn't great in my experience, and I sadly didn't feel very welcome. It was kind of difficult to locate. Went for dinner (5pm). After waiting for awhile, We were seated in a private room with a television playing random things and told to call in our order over the phone, but not speaking japanese well, the man had to come us instead. We ordered karaage, gyoza, and the salad. The salad was good, the karaage's texture was decent but could've been warmer. It had a sort of hot sauce that helped. I liked the gyoza, but it didn't have much flavor. Added a point for the matcha parfait. If anything, I recommend getting that. Minus a point for them forgetting to give us water we asked for.

Absolutely amazing

It was great to be able to try the local dishes in an animal/planet friendly way! And they tasted amazing! It might be a touristy place, but it's certainly worth visiting.

for tourists

The place is inside of a big building.
A small restaurant, with english speeking waitress (most of the guest are foreigners).
They trying to make the japonese atmosphere, but for me still europian.

The food is great (my table partner, who is originally meat eater said the same).
Maybe on the menu should be more choises.

Amazing Japanese food

We took a few of the dishes. All were amazing, the okonomiyaki was the best. Hands down the best vegan one I ever had.

gut

Das Kushikatsu ist einfach toll!
Die Takoyaki waren leider etwas zu mild im Geschmack. Da gibt es in Osaka bessere vegane Optionen.
Das Personal ist super nett😄

Incredible Opportunity to try Osaka Cuisine!

I’ve always wanted to try Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki, but nearly every version that exists has meat or fish present. However, this restaurant is completely vegan and has so many Japanese dishes to try. The quality of the food was incredible and it was such a cosy little place in a convenient location close to the station, where we felt very comfortable. Would recommend for anyone to try Japanese Cuisine!

Pros: Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki! , Easy to find location , Delicious

Particularly good for gluten free

If you are gluten free then this place is a must. For me the gluten free does mean you miss a bit of the flavour so whilst I am hugely supporting of this cafe it wasn’t the most tasty food we have had. The Okonomiyaki was beautiful and we really enjoyed it. The location is a little odd inside a mall on the lower level. However as we have come to expect in Japan amazing friendly staff and great attention to detail.

Small busy restaurant

A great find in a busy shopping area. We removed our shoes and ate in a room with several tables. Loved the okonomiyaki and Takoyaki.

Cons: A little hard to find

Amazing Vegan Takes On Iconic Japanese Dishes

All-around wonderful experience. They have a small but very polished menu. The space itself is cozy and lowkey. It feels a little like home. My partner and I had the takoyaki, gyoza, kushikatsu, and okonomiyaki. They were all fantastic! I loved the matcha salt with the kushikatsu and it was my first time being able to have takoyaki! Also, our waiter was extremely sweet! We felt very welcome there.

Pros: Iconic Japanese dishes made vegan, Super friendly service, Quiet, relaxed space

Kid-friendly and great food!

The food was amazing, we were excited to try the Okonomiyaki especially. And it was so kid friendly, there was a big toy shelf full of books, trucks, and toys. So great for families! And the staff was so friendly. Highly recommend!

Pros: Kid-friendly , OKONOMIYAKI!

Solid option near Osaka St.

The setup is a bit funny but the gyoza seem home made and the takoyaki are great.

5 star gluten free food

I was so happy to find gluten free Okonomiyaki and it was so close to the real thing, super comforting but without feeling too heavy imo.

I also ordered the Karaage (would recommend, the sauce is yummy) and the salad with carrot dressing.

It was a lot of food for one person but I left feeling nourished and satisfied 😇

Pros: Gluten free options that feeling true to the dish

Worst food I have had in Japan

When we arrived at about 12:30pm the place said it was fully booked until 2:15. There was nothing about that on their instagram and I looked at the website and they specifically said they did not take reservations. Odd but whatever. The person told us they were offering take out in the meantime so we opted for that.

It took about 45 min to get a 20 piece of takoyaki, 1 order karaage, and 1 okonomiyaki. I was expecting it to take a bit longer because the okonomiyaki said it would take about 15 min on the menu. It was much longer than that but it took much longer than that. I chalked it up to them just being busy.

The worst was the okonomiyaki. It had no batter and was just partially cooked cabbage and bean sprouts. The karaage was the best thing but it was mediocre & wasn’t crispy at all. The takoyaki was weird… I knew it was going to be gluten free but it was really mushy and gelatinous inside with little flavor.

Great menu authentic food

Whent with partner who is not vegan, so glad we found this peaceful place The menu has traditional food and the layout is also very traditional. We both enjoyed our meals. The ice cream/ desert was the highlight for me as i found it hard to find good vegan ice-cream. During the day this cafe operates as a mum and baby space and in the evening becomes a resturant

Pros: Good range of dishes, Tasty filling meals, Relaxing atmosphere

Cons: Found it hard to find

Great laid back spot

In and out for a quick restorative bit but I'll be back. Tasty food, good service, cool building. Vegan/GF versions of Japanese dishes that were tasty and fresh.

Pros: Fresh, Tasty, Good value

Cons: wider beer choice?
