No donuts, no problem - Edit
Stopped by Veera’s yesterday for some food for the road as I was traveling through. First time and the donut cupboards were bare (the Missoula Pride festival was going on). I ordered the VEE’S BFAST RITO to go. Ended up eating it, sitting outside at Missouri Headwaters State Park, listening to Montana singer songwriter Buck Buchanan entertain surrounded by beautiful Montana mountains. The burrito did not disappoint. Enjoyed every bite. Thankful for Montana road trip vegan options!

We made a brief stop in Missoula for some lunch and got a breakfast sandwich, burrito and two donuts. They were all delicious and everything is vegan so spoiled for choice!

I've had the Avi and a breakfast sandwich on English muffin with Just Egg. Both were to die for vegan junk food deliciousness. It's always at least a 15-20 minute wait because this ain't McDonald's, but it's worth it.

Their hot food selection is great. Really filling, sometimes too big but whatever considering limited options in Missoula. The doughnuts tend to not be fully cooked through, probably due to the size of them being a child's head.

good DONUTS for Montana - Edit
Coming from LA, Montana will never be LA’s vegan DONUTS, however these donuts are very good. They are a whole dessert if you don’t get a plain one, I can never finish a single donut, I personally think it’s too much toppings, I usually get a plain heated donut or one of the little gluten-free ones

I live in Portland, Oregon where vegan donuts are not hard to come by. We've got Doe Donuts, Blue Star Donuts, and Voodoo Donuts...but what they all lack is a delicious, classic, no-frills, not-made-for-Instagram donut.
Read moreThere's nothing wrong with those donuts that have 20 things going on and are more plated dessert/cake than basic donut shop donut, if that's your thing. But sometimes you just want something that reminds you of the donuts you grew up with and doesn't have 20 competing flavors and textures. A cakey old fashioned. A yeasty glazed. A chocolatey chocolate. Donuts that are very mindful, very demure.
Veera knows how to make donuts. A classic donut *and* a fancy donut. I'll be thinking / dreaming about the old fashioned donut for years, it was perfectly dense and glazed. The chocolate - chocolate glazed was rich in chocolatey flavor (fancy!), the yeast glazed was huge and oh- so-gooey, and the olive oil vanilla bean yeast donut was just that bit of fancy 💅 that a girl like me can appreciate.
Get you a donut shop that can do both. 🤌
(Didn't get to try their savory food, but I'm looking forward to on a future visit!)

Amazing Vegan Donuts! - Edit
We traveled to Missoula for the day and this was our first stop. We loved the shop and decor. The staff was great! The selection was large. We purchased three of the donuts and all three were incredible!! We’ll definitely be returning.

While donuts aren’t generally a go-to vegan staple, for some reason both of Missoula’s vegan restaurants are donut shops. Veera’s donuts are about as delicious and gourmet as donuts can get. They are gigantic. The jelly-filled donut uses local preserves instead of the artificial stuff most jelly donuts are filled with.
Read moreAs for non-donut food, I was a bit disappointed that most of the options seem to be Impossible- or Beyond-based. Ended up ordering the 666 cauliflower tacos. The flavor was excellent but the cauliflower was very crunchy (a bit undercooked).

I am in Missoula for a week and have been to this place four times. The creme brûlée is the best doughnut I have ever had. The breakfast sandwiches are also amazing. The sandwiches on the everything doughnuts aren’t my cup of tea.

i've tried most of their doughnuts and have liked all of them, the blueberry old fashioned is the best ive ever had! the breakfast burritos are massive but completely scrumptious!! the gluten free doughnuts are great for a cakey fix, i'm not gluten free and i enjoy them every time.

Ordered on line while driving into Missoula, not realizing it’s take out. Luckily they do have an outdoor counter height table. Portions are huge, and not something you want to try eating in the car 😂. Once in the storefront you can’t help but buy at least one more thing!

A paradise for the junk-food vegan - Edit
It's a shame I discovered Veera on my last day in Missoula! Huge delicious doughnuts, and no shortage of savory breakfast/lunch options! I had a breakfast crunchwrap, which was DIVINE. I have no problem with vegan junk food, so if you're like me, this is the spot!! And if you prefer to be more health-concious, Green Source next door has plentiful healthy vegan options.

Passing through on a long drive from Utah to Washington, VEERA was 15 minutes out of the way but I couldn’t pass up an opportunity for vegan donuts. I got the GF chocolate peanut butter and holy smokes i savored every bite. Delectable. Very sweet. Just perfect.

We love visiting Missoula because there are so many vegan options. Veera did not disappoint! Their selection of vegan donuts were amazing and their breakfast hit the spot! If you’re looking for a breakfast with lots of fresh green veggies I would recommend going elsewhere. Although they did have a low carb option, they don’t really have a lot of super healthy options.
